The hotel respects regulations and rules by putting measures in place. The hotel have a prefect communication to Playa de Muro Villaje. Again, I´d like to mention several members of the staff that they contributed to us to enjoy a great vacatons: Andrea, Paco, Jaime, Florin, Janna, Andrea, Andres.....
Best place for relax. We played tennis it was amazig. Stuff was very friendly and helpfull...
I liked also pina volada coctail without alcohol i am sure that with is also really good jajajjajaj. The beach bar has a nice ambient.
This was really the worst all-inclusive stay we had with kids. Since all anti-covid measures were introduced , they stopped with most of the services, for example we weren't able to eat in the restaurants because they were closed and kids club was open during the warmest time of the day and they were always playing in the heat outside. Menu in the buffet was pretty basic and it was no kids menue...
I was shocked when I saw they there is no bath, there is only showers and if you are family with kids after showers you will have to wash the floor and push water back to the shower or it will overflows and runs to the room. Room was really tiny and even we changed 2 rooms it was still very noise for kids to sleep. So once they were up until 1 am because it was still music from the street next to the hotel. It was first time when I considered loosing money and leaving earlier but it was no flight available.
One day dor good price. We stade with my friend in house on the beach but one day we took daypass at this hotel. All invlusive excelent...
Tue beach infront is also really nice and clean. I add one picture of it
Iberostar had always been my hotel of choice - I have always found the quality and attention to detail first class. However it is 3 years since I have stayed with them.
As it was my parters 50th - I emailed prior to arriving asking for a bottle of champagne to be left in the room for arrival and to add to my bill. No response - and no champagne…....
that set the tone:
Arrival was okay - I was very conscious this was a Covid period and there would be restrictions. Half the hotel was closed off:
The room - I had paid extra to upgrade to a sea view - Iberostar are not the cheapest - but I wanted a special room for a special occasion.
The room was tiny - not sufficient room for our clothes - so ended up living mostly out of our suitcases for two weeks.
The hotel is tired - very noticeable - cracks in paving and tiles and decoration.
Food - by far the worst 4 or 5 star I have ever stayed at - it is more 3 star - again I appreciated Covid and half the restaurant was closed - therefore only half the food was being cooked. It was very poor, not a great selection and not 4 star - as neither of us drink alcohol we went half board. In the evenings there is no water or coffee ( the dispensers are closed) you have to order at a cost - not really effect me - but again cheap and designed to make you spend. Breakfast - the best meal of the day - however every morning the coffee machines broke down and as only 2 areas to get coffee - 10 mins spent in a queue - not what I expect from 4 star
Gym - not everyone’s cup of tea - but very important to me when booking - no water dispenser in gym - towels in gym not changed very often ( I counted 4 days at one stage) and out of the 3 treadmills only 1 actually worked - very frustrating as German guests would use for 45 mins at a time oblivious to anyone waiting
I am very aware that the hotel has to contend with Covid and thought long and hard about a review as they are trying to survive - however, what should have been a special occasion was most certainly not.
Pool - the sun beds have been reduced - in the second week this was a problem - the Germans not content at getting up at 5am and reserving sun beds - started putting their towels down the previous evening - and the hotel allowed this !!!!
I do not believe in complaining at a resort as I firmly believe the standard should not get better because you complain - it should be a given.
There are some good points - the location is superb, most of the staff are very helpful.
But this is not the Iberostar I remember and have stayed with many times before - what should have been a very happy and joyful occasion. - turned in to a countdown until we went home.
