Overall a pleasant stay, however the main pool is FREEZING!

Booked a last minute October half term break at Viva Blue. Overall an enjoyable holiday. Our accommodation was clean, staff were helpful and the entertainment, although repetative, our daughter thoroughly enjoyed it.

I wasn't blown away by the food, but neither were we disappointed...

It was buffet style with a lot on offer.

The pool area is nice, however my main gripe about this hotel is the pool, (excluding adult & half size olympic pool) which was freezing. Kids aren't allowed in the adult pool, but after I complained how cold it was, we were allowed in the Olympic pool, which is heated. So if you're hoping to join your kids in the only pool they're allowed in, then don't book this hotel!

Great hotel with fantastic food and staff

Review by dtay91 Leeds, United Kingdom

We stayed at the VIVA Blue between the 22nd and 29th of October 2021, very nice hotel with helpful staff. The entertainment staff were very good with the kids and the astroturf pitch kept my little lad entertained when it was too cold for the pool! Very nice pool area, good gym. Food on a morning and evening was buffet style with plenty of choice, my favourite part of the food was lunch time as you could order from a menu for table service with lots of good choices to pick from, the pad Thai was great....

as part of the all-inclusive we could book a steak night, this was very good, excellent steak with again brilliant service. special thanks to Sergio and GiGi in the bar always looked after us with drinks, special mention on the drinks also top of the range drinks, especially liked the bottles of Estrella and Strawberry mojito's. Room's clean and when we requested to move this was accommodated with no problems, we didn't like the view of the lake behind the hotel (appreciate some guests do like this and like to watch the sunset, we thought it smelt a bit and didn't like looking at a big power station!) as mentioned we were moved to a pool view room which was great, if you are travelling in October the weather can be 'iffy' we didn't see any sun the first day but then for the rest of the trip most day's we had good sun from 1PM onwards until the sun went down, jumper/jacket required for an evening. The SPA is good also if its too cold outside whilst waiting for the sun, although one day the SPA pool was so hot you literally couldn't go in! Very quiet area of Majorca I thought, however when we arrived a massive bike race was on all weekend so it was buzzing with cyclists. We rented a Jeep for a drive which I'd highly recommend, we visited the Puerto of Portal which was incredible to see, we also visit Palmanova and Palma - very impressed with Palma also.. not so much with the HardRock! Cannot fault the hotel at all and highly recommended for families looking at all-inclusive, my only feedback would be getting a drink on an evening could take a while, staff didn't really want to serve you at the bar (guessing because of COVID) and if it was busy it did take a while to get served and get drinks, also the pool bar was closed all week which meant going to the main bar for drinks (again guessing because of COVID and/or because of guest numbers/ time of year) We are staying at the VIVA Eden next August 2022 and we did go for a visit and clearly VIVA Blue is far superior! Thanks for a great stay.

Nice Place

Review by vindanlou Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom

Day 1 on arrival as ususual TUI reps & Coach drivers all huddled together smoking, talking, went of the app for Coach number (9) not there hunted down rep who argued "you all have message saying coach #2, we didnt, we then made our way over to bus 2 & was informed we would be dropped off at a different hotel as an Iron Man contest was taking place, Nightmare. Hotel is lovely, Food in ElPatio & alacart (Same place) was exceptional, food in the main area was indifferent, lots of choice but for example lovely looking lamb chops but when I tried to eat them they were like rubber bands! Entertainment was also hitty miss, similar to 3 star shows, The Team, Alina, David, Hassan were great, Alina especially went out her way to make us happy, had some great times. Room was large with Kitchenette & garden which we paid extra for but hardly used due to lots of Mosquitoes, maybe some outdoor fly killers would help? pools excellent, grounds also, both Pomegranite & Orange trees full of fruit, lovely...

My biggest moan (probably a minor one to most) was lack of English TV chanels, BBC1,2 & C Beebies, as the Entertainment finished around 10pm we wennt back to the room & tried to watch the chanels available which on the whole were rubbish, please add maybe ITV, chanel 4, Film 4 it would greatly help us who like a bit of TV on Holiday :-) Sports bar was great, Premier league matches on although in spanish, would go back, just hope the niggles get sorted, over to you VIVA BLUE (Bingo/Bongo Ali, Hassan & David).

We enjoyed a wonderful stay in VIVA. The kids were thoroughly entertained and the staff could not be more helpful. The facilities were 2nd to none for the price, we would highly recommend and we will sure to be back!
