I wish I could live at Viva Blue!

Review by Ben B Haywards Heath, United Kingdom

I wish I could live at Hotel Viva Blue & Spa!

As a family of 3, we had the best time for a total of 2 weeks. I have travelled to many hotels, and this particular hotel is easily in my top 3 for attention and customer service.

We had originally booked all inclusive for one week, with the view to then return home...

On our last day, in the very final hours, we decided to stay in Majorca and extend our visit for a further 7 days.

We mistakenly decided to spend the last 7 days trying a different hotel, not too far away. But after spending one night in a different hotel, the following morning less than 12 hours after checking out of Viva blue, we were back.

In comparison to other hotels, Viva blue isn’t the cheapest… but I promise if you believe in value for money and the saying that “you get what you pay for” I would suggest taking no risks and booking Viva Blue.

We are a family of vegans, and all of our holidays are booked around a few main things, with everything else not being as important.

Vegan food options, Gym, Pool Location.

Viva blue is so far the first European hotel I’ve been too which actually has separate and labelled vegan food. Not just salad, but real actual vegan food with protein sources. Seitan, Tofu, chickpeas, soy options, quinoa, vegan burgers, vegan kebabs. Also alternative milks, soy, oat, rice and more.

Plus, the chef is always happy to cook you whatever you want. They even have vegan desserts! The chef made us a vegan cake one night specially for us, and even hand wrote the method and ingredients to make it so we could do it at home.

We dined all inclusive, so everything was included. All drinks, milkshakes, smoothies, slush puppies, plus alcohol in the evenings.

In the mornings it’s a buffet, lunch you have 2 restaurants separate from buffet you can eat at, dinner it’s buffet or restaurant.

The gym is unreal. Squat rack, bench press, cable machine, leg press, other leg machines, free weights, good cardio. Basically everything you need.

Pool area is amazing, with outside bar to grab drinks. 2 separate restaurants to have lunch in. Pool they do activities through the day for the kids, also volleyball in the afternoon in the pool. Aqua gym.

It has 2 pools, plus an additional adults only separate pool. The pool is very clean. Sun beds are comfortable, plenty available. You can always find a sun bed to put a towel down at breakfast time.

Kids entertainment through the day is amazing, rifle shooting, football, face painting, tshirt painting, pony riding.

Room size for family - it has a separate room. Really comfortable double bed. Separate kitchen in apartments with full size fridge and sink, plus stove, and microwave. Really good air conditioning Plug sockets located right next to each side of the bed. Cleaned well every day, including changing of towels each day.

A special shout-out to Sergio in particular, who made our stay even more convenient and special, and to the blonde lady who does the activities through the day and night.

The evening entertainment was also amazing, since we stayed for 2 weeks we expected it to be the same following week, but it was different. Definitely wasn’t cheap entertainment, very skilled people in the evening, dancers, magicians, singers etc.

Overall an amazing stay, I rarely write reviews but since I’ve been back it’s been on my to do list! If you’re in doubt whether to book, PLEASE go ahead. I promise you will love it, and it isn’t until you go somewhere else after Viva, you realise how great it is.

P.S If you’re reading this Viva, ONE thing I could say to improve… include vegan cheese in your burgers or other dishes. We bought some violife vegan cheese slices in alcudia and took it down with us at lunch to put in our burgers and put on our nachos. It’s so small, but makes a huge difference!! Thank you!

Also, there’s a ice cream shop opposite hotel outside across the street, which does vegan ice cream!

Also, about the mosquitos… yes… in the first few days I probably had 20 bites, but it’s not the hotels fault. I went to the shop at the hotel, bought a mosquito candle for the evening, and some mosquito skin repellent. Never had another bite. Easy.

Excellent hotel

Review by benemail1976 Manchester

Excellent hotel, fairly small but still lots to do for our kids (9 & 12). Food and drink was better than we expected (and have experienced with other resorts eg TUI Family Villages) Highly recommended resort
