So my partner and I stayed late august for 8 nights. We were immediately greeted with a glass of fresh water and offered for our bags to be taken. At the start of our holiday we had such a good feeling about this place...
The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful and you just felt settled. Now we opted for the star prestige and all inclusive package, star prestige is a must!! Feels like a luxury but supplies you with much more privacy and a lovely room. We also went to katagi Blau which was a one off experience, the ambience was incredible and the views were stunning not to mention the delicious sushi. Now considering food it is very hit and miss, this is sort of the vibe for every part of the hotel. Throughout our stay we were haggled by staff during dinner to review and give five stars, this was literally whilst you were still eating your food. In addition to this the spa was very disappointing and dissatisfying. The pool was an odd temperature, you had to click a button for every bubble machine in the pool and the so called hot tub was the same temp as the pool and smelt slightly funny, the sauna was practically the only thing functioning and actually inviting and yet we had to ask one of them to be turned on instead of them already being heated. There was a cold pool with an ice source but we didn’t go in. On the rooftop pool that is only available to star prestige members we had the joy of being served by a lady called Veronica, she was so so lovely and we can’t thank her enough. She made the experience 100 times better and we felt welcomed whenever she was on shift there. The main pool downstairs is a lot smaller than we expected and is surrounded by people so for me I felt too self conscious to even go in. The staff weren’t very clear as to what item costs what so we were constantly asking what was included in the all inclusive which was a real hassle. As a whole if you’re looking for class, simplicity and a little break away this is the perfect place for you.
My sister and I stayed at this hotel for 5 days purely for a getaway since our last holiday had been last year and Covid had made it absolutely necessary. This hotel was incredible from the get go. Upon check-in we were greeted with champagne...
The hotel itself was modern, immaculate and the decor was to very good taste. All the staff we encountered (Marco, janniro?) to name a few couldn’t have been more helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay as good as possible. They were also incredibly happy to do so - it’s obviously a great hotel chain to work for. The buffet food was delicious and we were given free drinks and ice lollies spontaneously by the pool. The only downside was that the area isn’t fantastic for places to go other than the rooftop restaurant katagi which was also phenomenal. Would 10/10 recommend the hotel itself if you just want a holiday to lounge by the pool with good food and music.
We had our room on the star prestige section of the hotel overlooking the sea. The view was unbelievable, especially during sunset, and the room itself was massive, with a huge shower and extremely comfortable bed.
The best bits are the spa and the two rooftop restaurants.
Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Perfect for couples.
My fiancé and I just returned from a week long stay at the Iberostar Selection Llaut Palma hotel, where we had the best time! The hotel and facilities are lovely and well worth the money (we went for the half board option which was great value), but it is the staff that really make this hotel stand out. Everyone we came across at the hotel was incredibly friendly and helpful, always asking how our stay was going and if there was anything we needed. In particular I must give a shout out to the head chef Pedro and Veronica who mans the Star Prestige rooftop deck - both went out of their way to make sure we always had everything we needed and go above and beyond for their guests...
For guests who are travelling without children I would also recommending opting for Star Prestige - the rooftop pool area is incredible, the views are amazing and it quickly became my favourite place to relax and spend my days. The one slight disappointment was Katagi - the food was lovely but the service left something to be desired, we had to for some of orders and our bill more than once, it felt like our server had very little interest in actually serving us, which was surprising to us given the excellent service we had received everywhere else in the property. All in all we have a wonderful stay and would definitely go back to this hotel again.
Definitely not a 5 start hotel, more like a 4 star. The main pool area does not have an appeal that draws you to go into the pool.
We did upgrade to prestige package which was worth purely for the fact that we could use the rooftop pool area- it was lovely...
There really isn’t anything else that prestige package gives you that is an extra apart from soft drinks and mini sandwiches which were made the day before! Also not many options for vegetarians.
Breakfast buffet was ok, however the service very slow even when it is not busy.
The spa was such a disappointment - extremely basic and the steam room was out of order. There is a pool which is not properly heated. The jacuzzi is not amazing either, the jets are not powerful enough.
Overall ok, but wouldn’t stay here again
