The Hotel Chatur Playa Real Resort is located in the most exclusive tourist place in the south of Tenerife, in Costa Adeje. Very close to Playa del Duque and Fañabe beach and Siam Park. It is a hotel aimed at families and couples. Chatur Playa Real Resort offers an all-inclusive service and has 178 comfortable and spacious rooms with a separate bedroom, distributed in two buildings. The 117 junior suites are located in the main building and the 61 family rooms equipped with kitchenette are in the annex. All services and common areas are shared together to avoid limitations in the use of the facilities. There is a new pool area in the family room area with two splash pools for the children. And there are 2 more pools in the main area of the building with a small children's pool.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

4 out of 5 for us ...hotel was good nothing flash ..food was good & plenty of drink pool was fine ...no much live entertainment singers or something at night but bar that it was fine ...10 min walk down to the beach ,shops etc 5 mins walk ....overall nice break
Disappointing Stay – Negatives Outweighed the Positives
Having visited Tenerife many times, we were really looking forward to our family holiday at Chatur Playa Real. Unfortunately, the hotel fell well below our expectations.
Starting with the positives, the food was good, some members of staff were genuinely lovely, polite and friendly, and the taxi service was quick and efficient. The children’s splash pool was great, and the blue sunbeds around this area were comfortable and well maintained.
Sadly, the negatives far outweighed the positives.
The main pool area had numerous broken sunbeds and umbrellas, which looked poorly maintained and raised safety concerns. The rooms were extremely outdated, not particularly clean, and we had lots of ants in the rooms, along with broken wardrobes and tired furnishings.
The gym was disappointing, as was the hotel shop, and both could do with some serious attention.
The all-inclusive drinks selection was also frustrating and very limited. We were particularly surprised to be told Prosecco wasn’t available until 7pm because it apparently only comes out in the evening! Not quite what you expect from an all-inclusive holiday.
Staff attitudes were very mixed. While some were wonderful, others were unfortunately rude and unhelpful, which really let the hotel down.
Thankfully, we were away with family and made the best of it. We still had a lovely holiday together, but that was down to the company rather than the hotel itself.
Having visited Tenerife numerous times, we know the standards the island has to offer, so this was a real disappointment.
I understand there is a new General Manager, and I sincerely hope she takes the necessary steps to improve the cleanliness, maintenance and overall customer experience, as the hotel certainly has potential.
Overall, we enjoyed our holiday despite the hotel, not because of it. Sadly, we wouldn’t return or recommend it in its current condition.
We are from Iceland, the service at this hotel was very good, the hotel was nice and clean and the employees were helpful and nice. Would recommend.
We stayed here for 12 nights arriving on 26th September 26.
There are pro’s and con’s to this hotel, which I will lay out below. What I will say is this is not a 4 star hotel, even by Spanish standards.
Cons: Broken sunbeds all around the main pool and sunbeds that you cannot adjust. So unless you like permanently laying down it can be quite uncomfortable. Umbrellas also broken and cracked tiles around the pool area. The hot tub is not hot, it’s more of a plunge pool and when we booked with Jet 2 it stated one half of the pool was cold and one was heated. This is false. Both sides are cold water. All inclusive drinks selection is not to be desired, local spirits which are awful. Amstel on draught, okay when added 7up, can’t have cider or prosecco until 7pm which is the strangest thing I’ve come across with AI drinks & the cocktails juices are from a machine and are awful. Rooms are need of an update, could do with a bit of colour, made a bit more cosy as quite sterile looking. Table on balcony paint was all peeling off, safe didn’t work in room 331 and I had to fix the toilet flush on my first night. Pool tables rarely worked, and during our stay one set of lifts were out of order the whole time. The shop only opened once or twice in 12 days, and when it did. It was nothing to write home about Evening entertainment was not up to scratch. Yes the team work hard and probably only have a certain budget but we ended up having to go out most evenings. Some staff we came into contact with were rude and looked like they would rather be anywhere else in the world.
Pros Some staff were lovely: mainly Eleana on reception. She checked us in efficiently and was always greeting us with a smile. Viktor and Megan at the pool bar were always pleasant and knew our drinks order. Viktor deserves a very special mention as he always went above and beyond. More of the staff could be like him. The food was decent, we always found something we liked - thank you to the chefs Beds were comfy, not to everyone’s liking as they are firm memory foam but for me with a back issue I didn’t wake up with a bad back once. Taxis came very quickly when asked at reception Help yourself to soft drinks and water is good, would be better to invest in reusable plastic cups rather than silly little ones or paper cups.
I have read there is a new general manager so I wish her all the best, this hotel has plenty of potential and could be amazing but for us we wouldn’t stay here again nor would we recommend it in its current form for the prices being charged
That being said, we enjoyed our holiday as a whole, Tenerife is fabulous, fanabe and torviscas are not far from the hotel and are where we spent most of our evenings. Hyperdino is around a 10 minute walk. Little train takes you for a 45 minute site seeing trip - stop is outside GF Fanabe Plenty of restaurants and bars down by the sea front and taxis are reasonably priced if you have young ones or mobility issues.
We love Tenerife but not this hotel sadly.
Not a four star hotel, arrived on the Sunday evening and had to run downstairs for food to be served with cold pasta and chips, when we asked for hot food they pointed to a microwave in dining room. The whole week was food you wouldn’t serve in a primary school, we ended up eating out every evening. Would never return to this hotel, mini fridge in rooms were empty and had to pay for drinks including soft drinks after 11pm and that was all inclusive. Someone taking the p somewhere.
