Great hotel and relaxing week in the sun.

Review by W778BKstephenm Bristol, United Kingdom

Stayed at this hotel for a week last month. As soon as we checked in we were advised to put our bags in the room and go straight to lunch, as it would be finished in 30 mins. Food was very good every meal, plenty of choices to choose from, was impressed to find British sausages and bacon every breakfast. A few items were cold each meal time, however that is to be expected when they are catering for a large number over a lengthy period...

There is a microwave if you need to which we didn't feel the need. Plenty choice of soft drinks, hot drinks,as well as beer and wine lunch and dinner. People say on reviews that the wine and beer is local and cheap. I found the wine ok and I like my wines. We stayed in room above the restaurant and bar, overlooking the pool. Room was perfect, cleaners worked hard all over the hotel from the early hours, room was cleaned immaculately, bedding changed and towels changed daily. 2 pools main pool by bar, and quiet pool other side of reception, which is heated, and had Cabanas by it which we spent most of the week on them. There was no problem getting a bed as plenty were available all day. Entertainment was good, we went to bed early the day we arrived as it had been a very long day and we're struggling to stay awake, and heard the Michael Jackson act, which sounded very good and regretted not staying up to watch it. Bar local drinks and wine, spirits which were again OK. People complain about the alcohol being local on reviews. It tells you on the holiday sites when you book any holiday so I don't know what they expect, you can pay for branded spirits if you wish. When I book a holiday I always check the reviews on trip advisor, and search the hotel on you tube to see what we are getting. All In all after we had son many holidays cancelled over the last couple of years, we had a fantastic time at this hotel and a very relaxing week which was needed, and we all said we would definitely use this hotel again.

Very nice, but.....

The resort is very nice, very clean and in today's climate of operators seemingly increasing prices from Pre Covid prices, very well priced, but....

  1. After the initial relief of getting away on holiday after so long, one can feel that this place is a little authoritarian. Upon arrival they tell you many things which upon reflection after a couple of days just seem a little 'wrong'.

No matter what time of day/night you arrive you are told in no uncertain terms that once you have breakfast on your last day, they will cut off your 'all inclusive wristband' ; so even though we arrive in the evening thereby no have 2 of the 3 meals of that initial day, we were only allowed 1 meal on our last day and not even drinks after the wristband has been taken away.....maybe in the spirit of fairness this should be addressed.

  1. 'All inclusive' here is 3 meals, all of which were plentiful in choice and good quality however all other 'all inclusive' Holidays we've taken at least offer snacks mid morning and mid afternoon which gave us many options with regards to leaving the complex and not having to pay for extra meals elsewhere. It is a case of this is it, take it or leave it except their is an option of a 'picnic bag' of ordered. If we wanted a picnic, we would have chosen a lesser board option.

  2. Don't expect tea, coffee or other hot drinks with each meal as the coffee machines are only on at breakfast and the coffee is well below par, so much so you're best having a tea bag and hot water or hot chocolate. Again maybe this is something the management would look at for the future as not everyone drinks copious amounts of alcohol and soft drinks.

  3. Whilst around the pool bar, 'all inclusive' guests get coffee from the same type of machine as in the dining hall and at the same dubious quality however anyone purchasing a coffee gets it made for them 'barrista style'.

  4. WiFi..... As per 2 above however it turned off at 10am the morning of you are leaving. Again, for the sake of a bit of WiFi I'd have thought it perfectly acceptable to provide it until the time you leave.

  5. The waiting on staff are extremely efficient to the point that it seems like a race to clear and lay a new table..... If you're no used to it, it could be quite disconcerting.

  6. The pool area is very clean and there are lots of sun loungers and parasols but beware of the beautiful look of the water.... It is a cold pool and takes some getting used to, once you're used to it (pool 2) it is a great size and depth for actually swimming and cooling down.

  7. Our room was excellent and looked like it had undergone a 'refresh' recently. Beds are hard and pillow takes some getting used to, TV in numerous languages, fridge sofa and dining table. Bathroom was large and clean and towels were good quality.

  8. Evening entertainment was mostly disappointing.

Village Aparthotel

We stayed here in November for a week. Room we received was superior apartment by the pool. Just be aware that there is noise from the outside entertainment till 11pm and there is,a gym below Apartments by the pool starting noise at 7.00am.

Housekeeping and bartenders and catering staff amazing. Some reception staff very helpful zdzislaw and silvia.

Pool lovely but there are 2 pools - 1 for families and 1 for quiet...

This pool is slightly warmer and it has day beds.

Food bland and drinks could be better Wine not too good.

Personally love the location as it is like being in a village and access to bus routes, taxis and walks are on the doorstep. Beaches nearby just be aware El Duque Sur has a drop just after you enter the sea but lovely and clear.

Buses readily available. Very punctual system.

Stick to room only

Review by Elle1290 Colchester, United Kingdom

My boyfriend and I stayed I this hotel last month. I will start with the positives, the room was nice, had everything we needed, housekeeping very good and efficient. The staff throughout the hotel were lovely especially the bartenders...

The pool area was really nice and the pool is a decent size however you do need to get up at 7:30am to reserve a sunbed as we quickly found out. Reception team very friendly and location of the hotel is great, we could walk into town in 20mins and find shops and restaurants.

Unfortunately however we decided to go all inclusive as we wanted a really lazy break. The alcohol at the hotel is basically undrinkable, cheap and nasty spirits, the wine was the worst wine I've ever tasted. The food was awful, tasteless, bland and the majority of the time, cold. We tried dinner there on the first night and decided not again. We stomached breakfast and lunch for most of the week for ease but in the end on the last day ate out for all 3 meals. We bought our own drinks from the local supermarket which is a 2 minute 4walk away. It's a shame because if they just spent a little more money on quality food and drink products this hotel could be excellent.

Family get away

My wife and three teenage daughters stayed here from 27th Oct to 3rd Nov 2021 . I can honestly say we were pleasantly surprised. The food was no bad compared to other AI we’ve stayed at “buffet Style” but lots of choice great breakfast...

The staff are very friendly throughout. The complex is safe very clean and well maintained. Drinks are ok with imported brands available but at a fee not to expensive €7 for Remy or Hennessy brandy. Towels are available with a €15 deposit you can change for clean everyday and then get your money back at the end of your stay. Clean rooms daily which is a real treat when you’ve been in the sun all day to come back to clean fresh beds made. Entertainment was ok “not west end no where near” Just don’t take it to serious enjoy & encourage the acts. after all your on holiday right? I wouldn’t stay here for more then a week as only one restaurant etc. But at the right price I say you can’t go wrong staying here. Only one caution the rooms are not AC could be a problem in the really high temperatures. Costa Adeje it self is lovey
If you can go for a day out I strongly recommend you go to Sian Park water park we had such an amazing day when you go you see why it’s one of the best water parks in the world with Rock bands playing and all sorts.
