Spacious ensuite rooms have cool tiled floors, air conditioning and large patio doors leading out to a furnished private balcony. The decor features warm colours and soft tones, creating a calm and tranquil atmosphere. All rooms are also equipped with TV, telephone, minibar, safe (at a fee) and hairdryer. All rooms feature a walk-in shower, while Suites also include a bath. Tea and coffee making facilities are complimentary. We travelled with friends and stayed at the GF Gran early September and really enjoyed the experience. Rooms were large, very clean with very good facilities - staff friendly and helpful. We were all inclusive and found the food excellent with plenty of choice, I'm a bit surprised to read some comments knocking it. Branded alcoholic drinks also included, decent entertainment each night and although I can understand the odd criticism about some usual missing 5-star/AI perks this didn't detract from a very good week.
The hotel is in a nice area with a short walk down to the front and beaches with plenty of options for eating out. There's a bus stop right opposite the hotel entrance for trips into Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos.
We saw Pilot whales on a boat trip and can also recommend the buggy tours to Mount Tiedi, we went with Top Buggy who were excellent with hotel pick-up/drop off.
Would happily recommend a stay at the GF Gran Costa Adeje.
We have just returned home from a lovely 10 day stay. We arrived early & our room was ready, the room was always cleaned daily & towels changed. We have been coming to the hotel since 2014 & are greeted as if we are family. We were all inclusive & breakfast had a vast choice of food & always excellent . We ate in the pool bar every lunchtime & was glad to see more choice had been added to this menu but there still could be room for improvement, by adding more chicken or tuna dishes to the all inclusive. Ani would always greet us with a lovely smile & would have a laugh with us even when there were problems with the ordering system & she was very professional, acting very quickly to get the orders taken by pen & paper, her professionalism was missed at the weekend when she was off. Evening meals, there is a good variety of food to choose from but quality of meat has never been the same since The Victoria has opened, that said we have always found something to eat, albeit a salad or pasta, but on occasions the meet was tough, with the exception of the veal fillets & they were very tender. We thought the drinks menu had improved but again there is room for improvement as certain cocktails still have a supplement, but the ingredients that make them are all part of the all inclusive ie Snowball you can order an advocat & sprite for free but ask for a snowball it has a supplement! The same goes for Black Russian, vodka, coffee liqueur & coke all part of all inclusive but as a cocktail it has a supplement, it just doesn’t make sense. We have also stayed at several other hotels that are 4* & Apero Spritz are part of the all inclusive. Same with water it has always been refilled in the room every day at other hotels & especially as it’s 5* you would hopefully expect the water to be replaced daily. The staff do work very hard & many have been there since we have been coming to the hotel. Hopefully the drinks menu can be looked at & improved a bit more in time for our next return. If anyone does have any problems don’t be afraid to raise with management while there as they will do their upmost to sort the problem out.
Really enjoyed our first experience in this hotel…just to say that my whole life has been spent in hospitality, managing hotels etc. Excellent reception, large rooms and just amazing breakfast. Only minor points to be mentioned. Sign posting around the hotel is terrible! Particularly finding reception etc could so simply be resolved! The pool restaurant was not a brilliant experience…sat down on a table outside….and it took 25 minutes before anyone came to serve….asked for a “paper” menu and was told that there was only one as “my boss” said that everyone should use the QR code! Just minor annoyances which could easily be resolved mainly through staff training. Brilliant holiday ….we will definitely be back….booked on a bed and breakfast basis
The hotel is run down. Sun loungers are grubby, pool area is dangerous with missing tiles and it has grotty walls and pool side areas. The whole day not a single member of staff tidied empty cups or plates round the pool side (we happily tidied our own but it makes the pool area grubby).
The restuarant is bland and all the dishes are mixed in sauces with pork or fish. We tried the fresh station and we were served an alive chicken. I reported the incident politely and it took staff four days to respond to my complaint.
The entertainment is great if you like old fashioned/boring acts. The entertainment area isn't air-conditioned its so stuffy and the acts are dated.
Dont be deluded by the Gf granners Facebook page this hotel is more of a 3 star. The entertainment posted on there is a one off event that happens once blue moon (yearly or twice a year).
The management there is shocking too they are miserable and very rude.
We would never return again, I just want people who are going to know that this hotel is far too over priced and rated by returning geusts that cant compare it too other hotels.
The all inclusive is limited too and certain things that were on there werent available.
The rooms have been updated but are a bodge job, I had to ring down to reception lots of times for simple things that hadn't been replenished.
Im not a Karen but please dont waste your money and research a better hotel. You will be gutted if you spend your hard earned cash on this stay.
Just back from 10 days at this hotel it is first class hotel with great staff We had bed and breakfast as there is some many great restaurants near I would not recommend this if you are not able to walk as it is a fair walk down to the sea but coming back up the hill is very hard it has seats allow you to stop and have a rest if you need it we did as it was very hot We had one day of rain but booked the spar and a message in the hotel I can recommend that it was fantastic The hotel is very big a lot bigger then the ones we have stayed before as we have been holidaying alone this coast for the last ten years So I would go back to one of the smaller hotels near the sea and adults only but that is because we are getting old
