Lovely clean hotel.

Review by reverendtrev Chelmsford, United Kingdom

I stayed here for a long weekend with my 13 year old son in April

The hotel is enormous- the foyer is like a shopping centre but exceptionally clean - one of the cleanest hotels we’ve ever stayed in. This goes for bars, restaurants and rooms (rooms are a bit old fashioned and functional but everything works)

On site food is good although there aren’t that many restaurants- not a problem as there are plenty of places to go in Costa Adeje.

The guests are generally older couples, and the the entertainment is generally focussed towards them...

Pools are well maintained- one is heated which is a bonus.

Staff are absolutely lovely - very helpful and polite.

I’d recommend you give it a try - Tenerife weather is good from April to October.

A fantastic family quality hotel

Review by trishwnottingham nottingham, UK

We spent 12 days here with our daughter, son-in-law and four grandchildren and enjoyed every minute. Our room was spacious, quiet and with a beautiful bathroom with two sinks and good toiletries. We didn’t try to get our teas and coffees topped up as we had brought our own, but be warned that they are not automatically topped up by the staff...

The pools were wonderful, with lots of comfortable sun beds available, though don’t put your towels down while you go and have breakfast because they will be removed. The adult sun terrace and pool on the top floor was a welcome escape from time to time, but the main pools were great for family time. Our grandchildren didn’t know what activity to run to next, there were so many! Thank goodness they all managed to win t-shirts from either mini golf, football, pool, mini disco etc…. The nightly shows were really good, the best of them being the amazing Rock Fest, introduced by the roar of three Harley Davison motorbikes riding through the foyer! We were on half board and I have to report that the food was exceptional. The choice at both breakfast and dinner was outstanding and catered for every taste, from vegan to meat lovers to just plain fussy eaters. The staff are wonderful. The animation team were great with the children and full of enthusiasm and joy, The reception staff were always cheery and helpful and the chefs, waiters and room cleaners were excellent at their jobs and always greeted us with friendly smiles and holas. The location of the hotel is excellent, with many bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk, as is the nearest beach, but there is also a bus stop just outside the hotel if you wish to explore further afield. It’s only a 20 minute coastal walk too to the charming village of La Caleta, which is worth a visit. We have stayed at GF Victoria and GF Isabel and this hotel keeps the GF flag flying high.

Nice hotel, but missing a few key things!

Review by shirleyn England, United Kingdom

Travelling: myself and husband both in our early 40s Booked: Jet 2holidays Cost: £2200 Room: side sea view Board: All inclusive

I have stayed in Costa Adeje a few times and at other GF resorts, as this holiday was just me and my husband we booked the 5* Gran. The hotel is lovely, very elegant with lots of great luxuries you would expect from a 5*. ( nice comfortable sunbeds, free beach towels, toiletries in the room, free room safe, lovely well kept gardens, lots of activities etc) however a few things like, no tea and sugar replenish in the room, dressing gown but no slippers, mini bar empty, just silly little things you would expect at most hotels/resorts...

We stayed in room 1102 which had a joining door to the next room. This room had a family of 4 staying. We heard them talking, crying, playing and having tantrums as well as they must of heard us. We did not like this at all we heard everything. I found myself being very quiet in the morning so not to wake their children. It’s not great when your lying in bed and can hear the next rooms whole conversation. The air con is the worst I have ever used, it was cooler outside than in our room. Definitely need updating. Even on full in was a light breeze and only if you stood right underneath. Dint really like the lunch and dinners in the restaurant, not much choice of hot food. Nothing seems to go with nothing. Lots of fresh fruits, cold buffet, salad but not much in cooked food. Staff were friendly, hotel very clean and well looked after. Dint really see the animation team, only once or twice around the pool. I did feel abit stressed about a few things the first 2 days, silly things like the tea & coffee which we had to buy from the shop. 4 times asking for an extra pillow, reporting the terrible air con, these are things you don’t really need to be stressing about. All in all the hotel is a lovely hotel, definitely would not recommend going all inclusive and I probably wouldn’t stay there again. We did have a great holiday, because we made it a great holiday.

Fabulous family holiday

Review by 800maggiet Walsall, United Kingdom

I don’t normally review hotels but I feel compelled to do so in this instance. Check in was really smooth, we arrived very early and rooms weren’t quite ready. We were checked in, left our luggage and advised to go to pool bar for drinks and lunch and were called when the rooms were ready. Rooms were lovely, traditional, huge and spotless. All inclusive was excellent, very good choice of food and drinks. Yes the buffet restaurant was quite noisy due to the scraping of chairs on the floor but there was plenty of room, no fighting for tables and a really good choice of freshly cooked food. We had no problem getting sun beds (there were 8 of us) as the pool guys do a ‘sweep’ every morning and remove sun beds that had been reserved with towels and no occupants! Last but not least, the personnel from cleaners to managers were all absolutely delightful...

Will definitely return

Fun for all the family

Review by siobm prescot

Just returned from a wonderful family holiday including grandparents, my husband and I and our 4 children aged 13, 10, 8 and 6. Can genuinely say that there was something to please everyone, every day. Whether you wanted the peace and quiet of the rooftop adults only area, the excitement of the maxi club activities / competitions, exercise classes, mini golf, mini disco, or an easy walk out to the beach / local resort areas...

We never found ourselves bored.

Special mention to the ‘animacion’ team who work tirelessly to ensure young and old are having fun. Stand outs for us were Bruno, Jonny and Samuel - seemed to go above and beyond.

The breakfast and dinner buffets during our half board stay were fabulous. Amazing variety, fabulously presented and exceedingly delicious. Breakfast service could be a little hit and miss at times - trying and failing to get the attention of the service staff to get hot drinks was a little tiresome. However, not a major issue. We just learned to order more than one at a time.

Rooms were cleaned to a high standard every day. I felt a bit more attention around pool areas was needed at times. People failing to use litter bins probably the main culprit - which can’t blame the hotel for - but I had to fish out / pick up other peoples’ litter on more than one occasion which could have done without.

WiFi a bit hit and miss too.

Overwhelmingingly positive experience, though - thank you. We would definitely hope to come back one day.
