Had a weeks stay at this hotel recently. It was ok, rooms clean but really scruffy and dated furniture. Bed linen not changed once in a week...

Food ok, main dining room very busy and canteen like, food average. We paid for privilege so we’re able to use La Tosca restaurant which was a step up as waiter service and menu. The privilege bar was in reception so not worth paying for as was hot and dark...

Having just returned this weekend from this hotel felt I needed to write a review. We stayed with friends at this hotel for 14 nights. Good points, loved the location, this hotel still has many restrictions in place, big bug bear was limited numbers in infinity pool max 11, whilst I appreciate that restrictions are still in place, it felt as though depending what nationality you was then the numbers changed...

Room was very clean, although air conditioning was very poor, fridge didn’t work and we had to get this changed. Also had to pay 42 euros for a safe, normally safes are free! Found the food very hit and miss, most of the time it was Luke warm, myself and our friends ended up with awful sickness and diarrhoea just before we left for home, we had not been out of the hotel and had only eaten and drunk in the hotel, so obviously was a problem at hotel. Also had a major problem with our room key, I had it changed 5 times, on two occasions at 2 in the morning when we had had an evening out, not impressed when I was told that the key was too near my mobile phone, especially when I didn’t even have phone with me! Would not stay here ever again, disappointing holiday for all of us.

Don't use hotel booking sites for best rooms

Review by Kim P Glossop, United Kingdom

Having booked a junior suite with partial sea view through booking.com and given the hotel my Grand Class loyalty card number I expected, as in the past, one of the better suites. However we were given room 272 being on the lowest floor, with trees and thick bushes immediately in front of the wrap around terrace and hence very little sun.

All the other junior suites and rooms on higher floors with pool and/or sea views benefit from full sun part or whole of the day so it was disappointing to have such a shady terrace.

The suite itself was fully equipped, cleaned daily and very comfortable with both a separate shower and over bath shower too...

Additionally there were extras in the room and offered in the hotel because of the loyalty card.

The hotel is immaculately clean and beautifully located on the sea front at Playa Enramade - in La Caleta - being right at the top end of Adeje so very quiet and a fair old walk of about 30 mins along the promenade until you reach anything significant -- even longer to get to Playa del Duque and Fanabe.

The staff in the hotel without exception are extremely helpful and very friendly (as I find with all H10 hotels) and a credit to the company.

In short a great up market hotel for a relaxing holiday but if you want proper nightlife and a selection of restaurants then I suggest you stay closer to Playa Fanabe or Bobo

Only OK, don’t book All Inclusive

Review by GuitarGirl78 Ormskirk, United Kingdom

On the plus side, check in was quick and efficient with lots of helpful information about the hotel. The cleaners are doing a sterling job, the maids are keeping our rooms immaculately clean. The sun loungers and pool at the bottom of the hotel facing out onto the beach are lovely, in a quiet relaxing area and it’s easy enough to get a sunbed without being up at the crack of dawn...

The location of the hotel is good with a nice walk along the promenade to some beautiful restaurants and bars. The piano bar in the hotel has a lovely atmosphere and the entertainment in that bar has been excellent.

We would never stay All Inclusive here again. All of the bars and restaurants at this hotel are severely understaffed (and several are closed or offering a limited drinks menu and no food).

It’s hit and miss whether you get offered tea or coffee at breakfast in the La Jable buffet restaurant, if you are lucky enough to be brought a pot of coffee you’ll wait another 10 minutes for someone to find you a clean cup. Lunch is the same.

The waiting-on staff are working extremely hard but simply cannot keep up with the demand for clearing tables and providing drinks and clean glasses, cutlery and plates.

We had our 1 permitted visit to the “a la carte” La Tasca restaurant last night, which is situated right next to the children’s entertainment/mini disco, the food was ok but eating dinner whilst listening to “baby shark” at full blast ruins any kind of a la carte dining atmosphere or experience.

Chatted to lots of guests who, like us, are eating out at local restaurants most of the time for lunch and dinner. The Jade Stone restaurant which is directly opposite the hotel is doing a roaring trade with disgruntled H10 guests. A number of guests who haven’t left the hotel while here have experienced sickness and diahorrea during their stay.

Unfortunately we wouldn’t return or recommended the hotel - for the amount we have paid to stay here All Inclusive plus the amount we will have spent on eating out by the end of our stay, we probably could have gone to the Caribbean!

TripAdvisor Review

Average stay, location good but general presentation quite average, poor in rooms.

Review by 297harriettep

I will keep this as short and relevant as possible.

  • Promenade adjacent hotel which makes nice seaside walks a few moments away
  • Good gym
  • good food options and vary daily
  • supermarket 5 mins walk away
  • not much corridor noise
  • pool super clean
  • no sun lounger mania but it was October, not sure in summer
  • generally relaxed vibe
  • staff in restaurant and by the pool, lovely.

  • on arrival at 11pm at night (not my fault, last drop off after afternoon flight) reception disinterested, gave me limited info about the hotel. Later learned in-room safe required a magnet (?! How dated is this) to operate which you pay additionally for, also gave me no info about pool towels, found this out the following day fumbling around trying to get my bearings.this took several trips back down to reception to resolve, met with the same bad attitude as before.
  • no water in the room despite late arrival and missing dinner. Reception Advised me to “hurry as the bar is about to close” mid check in.
  • reception staff who were younger in age were generally quite rude stating their English wasn’t great, which seems unusual since the bulk of tourism is at least partly English speaking…and they’ve been closed for months...

I expected a bit more positivity and welcoming after the year and a half we’ve all had!

  • air con is appalling. Sweating on arrival in my room and was told by reception after a technician came to see why my air on was so poor “sorry it’s generally not strong air con throughout the hotel, this is just how it is pass me back to the technician”
  • the flimsy keycard holder made of paper you get given with your room number on seems to be your bible for the holiday, being unable to order poolside drinks without it. It’s made of paper. If yours lasts 7 days well done. Also need it to get into dinner which is new to me and I’ve travelled a lot. Maybe covid related. Can’t see how.
  • booking system for breakfast/dinner is pointless there’s no social distancing anyway and it’s self service.
  • equally ridiculous to be wearing face masks in the gym, you are expected to do so even on a treadmill when the aircon doesn’t really do much. It’s honestly impossible to exercise in this way. They request this despite limiting a fairly adequately sized hotel gym to 4 people only.
  • the hotel is incredibly dated. The hallways, carpets, fixtures and fittings all need updating and are quite scruffy. This hotel is very different to the H10 I stayed in located in Marbella yet the same rating. but I can’t speak for the others in Tenerife.

I think you could get better presented hotels, with better value and more luxurious feel for the same price.
