Place was amazing family friendly and a lot of activities for kids and adults love this place will be back next time
Despite some negative reviews we seen regarding being outdated, We had a great experience at the hotel. Our room was spacious and had lots of storage. The room was cleaned every day and we had no issues with cleanliness. Food was good, different selection at the buffet for everyone. Lots of pools and sunbeds so didn’t struggle to get seated by the pool. There is a lot of entertainment everyday for kids and adults. The animation team were excellent, especially Dario, Mattia, Ana, Eduardo, Adrian and Mimi, they made our poolside experience fun! Overall we had a great time at hotel best jacaranda and will return in future ❤️
Great hotel/resort. Loved the location. The food is good but nog great, very nice people. Rooms are clean and the beds are Ok.
Would recommend this Hotel !!!
I made the mistake of reading some reviews as we were on the transfer from the airport. Whilst there is truth to some of the past comments it does not spoil the holiday and it is no where as bad as described. We arrived on a weekend and one of the two main lifts from the pool was out of service however was repaired Monday morning.
The good points. The rooms are spacious, serviced daily and AC works well. Keeping the curtains closed during the day and having the AC on helps manage overnight temperatures. It works better during the night which is obvious. We ended up cold and turned it off. Don’t expect new towels every day.
Housekeeping left free solar eclipse glasses on our bed to watch the event. Our balcony had a really good view. This was a nice touch.
Food is good, there is a decent selection in the restaurant. Theme nights every day. Oriental, Spanish, Gala Dinner (more fish this night), Turkish Kebab. The live cooking meats (Chicken, Duck and Fish are very tasty. My two boys eat well and really enjoy the deserts.
The kids pool area on the sun terrace level 5 is brand new. A few slides, lovely big unberellas and new loungers. Fresh tiles, it feels like you would expect from the rest of the hotel.
The not so good points
There is brown composite decking around the pools. It is not well laid. Absorbs a lot of heat so flipflops are recommended to and from. It is lifting and damaged in places so care is needed when walking. There were maintenance teams seen making repairs but it needs re done.
All inclusive non premium arm bands - cocktails are crap, draught type. Stick with the free pour spirit and mixer. Gin and Vodka are great and do the job if you try hard enough.
Loungers if you want the good spots at the main pool get up. Game starts about 7am for the hardcore but you can get something easy up to 9am. Signs say do not reserve but this is not enforced. Sun terrace level 5 which has small pools is much quieter. Sun umbrellas are short supply after 9 don’t expect to get one.
There are shaded areas as the hotel wraps around 360. If you are a sun worshipper the corner near the gym gets first sun. By 11 the whole pool area has sun the exception being loungers under trees.
Last yes the entertainment areas and piano bar are hot. Get a drink in a paper cup and head outside or chill in your room with decent AC.
Just back from a week stay. 2 adults, 2 children aged 7. Half board.
We were worried about the reviews leading up, but the hotel honestly isn't that bad.
We were block H level 7. Rooms were fine, comfy big bed, cleaned daily. I'd describe as a typical Spanish hotel room.
Pools were good, fit for purpose. I do understand about the decking area, it could do with renewing, but it didn't ruin our holiday, no-one hurt themselves. The splash area was a huge hit too!!
Tip: Wear footwear around the pool area as it is slippery and the floor is hot!!
Food was good, lot's of variations for breakfast and dinner, with a different theme each evening. No complaints, but then again we're not fussy eaters (but if you are, there's plain pasta, chips, burgers, pizza, hot dogs etc...)
Evening entertainment was fine - kids loved it. However the inside area is dank, dated, and warm. The hotel could really benefit from an outside evening entertainment area.
A huge special shout out to the hotel for leaving 2 pairs of solar eclipse glasses in our room! Thank you.
