Lovely stay

Review by Lisa_Potter2 Warminster, United Kingdom

A friend & I have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Best Jacaranda. The hotel room was comfortable, with nice touches like tea, coffee, water & fizzy in the room when you arrived. The balcony was large & we had a great pool view...

We stayed on an all inclusive basis & couldn't fault the food, snacks or drink (ask at the snackbar if you fancy an ice cream, certain ones are included in the all inclusive). Every evening at dinner was a different theme which mixed things up; our favourite was 'Asia'. The pool area was lovely & clean & we never had an issue getting a sunbed, even at 9/10am (it was lovely not to have to get up early to reserve one!) We found all the staff friendly & worked hard to make our stay an enjoyable one. There were activities going on all day & entertainment in the evenings. I used the beauty salon & had a 30minute massage & 30minute reflexology, which I can highly recommend....very relaxing & very reasonably priced. The hotel is in a great location, only being a 5 minute walk to the shops, bars, beach, restaurants, etc & only a 2 minute walk to the free buses to take you to Siam waterpark & Siam shopping mall. All in all a relaxing stay at a lovely hotel.

Great hotel

Review by r18pow Barrow upon Humber, United Kingdom

An enjoyable holiday at an excellent hotel, the staff were truly exceptional very friendly. The cleanliness was first class and regular towel changes and daily room cleaning. The food was well prepared and presented and had a wide variety of choice...

I only have two criticisms out room was Block I 195 which was a quiet room with a pool view, unfortunately we were woken every morning at 7am by the cleaners working upstairs in the piano bar and they were very loud moving furniture to clean . We never complained because they had a job to do I guess. The other issue was the designated smoking area was just below our room and was noisy and smelly and should be relocated. Our neighbouring room said their clothes on the balcony always had a cigarette smell. Overall a lovely holiday in an excellent hotel.

Great hotel, lovely grounds

Review by Beckywalker22 Naples, Italy

Lovely hotel very clean and tidy close to the beach and restaurants. Warm welcome at reception which was a large open space. We opted for a pool view room which was worth getting as you get a really nice balcony overlooking the many pools. It's a really big hotel with many rooms but as it is set round a large courtyard containing pools, seating trees and lots of flowers it seems relaxed. Lots for children to do with separate pools, play area and activities. Entertainment wasn't the best but as you are so close to all the bars and restaurants it didn't really matter

Best Jacaranda Costa Adeje

Review by alanmN6487TN Grimsby, United Kingdom

Excellent hotel , good location. The Staff are very friendly efficient and work hard. The rooms are spacious and cleaned everyday .

The restaurant is clean and spacious with varied cuisine and lots of choice something for everyone...

We could not fault it. The five pools give you plenty of choice of where and what atmosphere you prefer to relax in.

Only two minor comments. With all inclusive you would expect tea and coffee to be replenished in your room everyday not just a one off. Especially if you like a cuppa when you wake up. The entertainment in the evenings was a bit hit and miss. More tribute acts would go down well and keep music on after the artist finishes in the piano bar people like to dance. Animation for children appeared excellent i would stay again 9/10..

Nice Hotel, really poor service

Review by 1900jayn Yorkshire, United Kingdom

We went for 2 weeks and the hotel itself is pleasant to visit, and has plenty of amenities, 6 different outdoor pools, it’s close to the beach and the shops are literally across the road. The staff however is a different story (with the exception of the House-keeping services, they were great). The staff in the restaurant don’t know what they’re doing, mis-labelling food at least twice, (be careful if you a vegetarian, you could easily end up eating meat). We had top complain several times before anyone took some actual notice. Also, the food rotation is only weekly, so if you go for 2 weeks, you’ll get the same food for 2nd week. The live cooking at the Wok is a good choice if you want to try different things. Restaurant is confusing, no-one informed us if spoons are meant to be paid out or not, mostly they didn’t, so we had to ask for them...

We never knew if dirty plates are meant to be collected or not, sometimes they were other times we had to take them, to them. Things got worst – when we complained about all this to Customer/Guest Services, the lady brushed it off as “it’s a simple” mistake (re the food labelling), except it happened again in the 2nd week. They hear you complaining, but don’t actively listen to make any changes, hence it happened more than once. Worst was to come – we inadvertently kept the ping pong ball and bats without realising we should have returned them after 1 hr. When we handed them back several days later, they refused our 5 Euro deposit. We broke one rule by mistake and we were not happy with the food situation and yet they couldn’t see past 5 Euros as a Good Will Gesture. (And we spent 40+ Euros on the pool tables). I informed them that, that for a 4 Star Hotel they behave like a 2 Star at best. And said we’ll be not coming back. Over 5 Euros, they have lost 1,000s future Euros from us. BTW – they have a strict “no towel” policy if you’re not at the sunbeds. They’ don’t enforce. 250+ sunbeds, on the ground floor, all towels on them, about 7 people at their sunbeds. This was at 8am and 9am the situation was the same. And this was the case most mornings. I personally do not recommend them. Thanks.
