Dreams Jardin Tropical

It was our first time in Tenerife so i decided to choose this unusual hotel for a 5 night break with my daughter just from looking at pictures no reviews or social media, I was not disappointed, it was 'simply stunning' an all white Santorini style huge 490 room hotel in Costa Adeje with tropical gardens, roof top terraces and a beautiful pool with a huge waterfall and bridge and a separate shallow kids pool. It also had a one of a kind outdoor gym with sea views and classes. There were a few onsite restaurants and bars with live music. We booked a standard room with breakfast included. We were greated with a glass of champagne, water cookies and apples were also available then offered a room to shower and change because we arrived early our luggage was stored and we chilled by the pool for a couple of hours. The room had a seaview and balcony with chairs table and a large parasol and was just a minutes walk from the pool and games room area for adults, teens and children there are daybeds with parasols close by and plenty of sun loungers. The buffet breakfast was amazing with plenty to choose from, the staff are very attentive and the reception staff will resolve any queries, ring local taxis which are very good only 8 euros to Siam Park. My only slight negative the water there is offered in the lobby on arrival then you have to buy your own from the local shops if your not all inclusive there should be an onsite chilled water machine there is water and cups available when using the gym though, also the buffet dinner was luke warm with no drinks included if booking as a one off, the food was not to my taste so I had to go to the live cooking stations instead but the deserts were good. When leaving we booked a late evening flight we were again offred a room to shower and change by the reception staff which we thought was a lovely touch before leaving they also called us a taxi. I would definitely recommend this hotel it was a great experience being a guest there. I hope to return soon.

Family of 6 over 3 rooms in July for a week. Bed and breakfast but club upgrade on all.

Good- club service- worth the money for quality of rooms, sea views, balcony bed private area and club room/ terrace for breakfast and afternoon refreshments

Cleanliness. Place was spotless and the architecture of hotel and grounds were fabulous. Cleaners in daily.

Pool- liked it. Quite big but broken up by a bridge. Good depth to it

Staff- staff were great so friendly and accommodating

Cocktails. Some of the best I’ve tasted from in a hotel chain anywhere in Europe.

Bad

Location- I felt the hotel was classy but didn’t like overall location of hotel. Further into Costa adeje much nicer and upmarket

Air conditioning. This has been picked up by numerous reviewers previously. Simply not up to standard for a hotel of this nature. My kids room was stuck at 28 degrees entire time of holidays. In a heatwave. Must do better

Ambience- yes it’s a boutique hotel but there was literally no atmosphere in hotel. Felt totally sterile. Nighttime entertainment pretty much zero. They should extend the hours of sunset bar and put a dj up there. Massive terrace underused in my opinion.

Lastly it didn’t affect my party but anyone in a wheelchair or the elderly with mobility issues avoid. Far too many steps.

Overall this is a pleasant hotel with a lot of positives. I just feel it’s lacking in certain areas that would stop me personally returning. That said if you want a quiet, relaxing break in an architecturally beautiful hotel that’s clean and well maintained with good customer service it’s hard not to recommend.

The location of the hotel and the food were excellent, and the staff were outstanding. The room was a disaster, everything smelled of damp, the ventilation was poor, and the overall condition was simply unacceptable.
