JOIA El Mirador by Iberostar

We have just returned from our 10th visit to this fabulous hotel. Each time we go, we are amazed at how happy we are there. The lawn and pool are vast, with lots of sun loungers and space to relax in. The constant sound of the waves and sheerwaters is mesmerising. The room is so quiet and peaceful, super relaxing. The short hop to the local restaurants means is eating is easy. And the bar and music makes the evenings a lot of fun. But the one thing that makes it really special is the continuity of the people, both the staff and the guests. This year, we were warmly greeted and fussed over by so many familiar faces who really care about their guests having an enjoyable stay and seeing us again next year. Standouts were Paula and Gloria in reception, the fabulous Orlando on the lawn (he is a gem), Jesus and Ignacio in the bar and Yori at breakfast. And then there are our fellow guests, some of whom we've seen there for years and can now count as friends. As always, it was a wrench to come home (even after 16 days) and we will be back next year. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for welcoming us as family and friends. We very much appreciate it.

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel from August 5th to August 12th, 2026, in the luxurious Star Prestige area. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the exceptional friendliness of the staff. Our butler, Martina, was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel truly special throughout our stay. Tiziana, the manager, is truly outstanding—her dedication and professionalism are evident in every aspect of the service. Above all, she is so cheerful and kind, always with a smile. Everyone at the hotel goes above and beyond to ensure our experience was as pleasant and comfortable as possible. We especially appreciated the privacy, spaciousness, and tranquillity that the hotel offers, allowing us to relax completely. The dining options are fantastic—there's the choice to enjoy exquisite à la carte dishes or sample a variety of options from the buffet. The breakfast buffet was diverse, delicious, and a perfect start to each day. The cleanliness of the rooms, bathrooms, and all other areas was impeccable, contributing to our overall sense of comfort and well-being. There is truly nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a peaceful, luxurious retreat. We will definitely come back within 10 months. It feels a bit like coming home (we've been here 7 times).
