The entertainment was really good day and night kept us fully entertained throughout our visit, Jonathan went above and beyond and made every day fun. One thing I will say is more chicken on the menu as it was pork most days! Other than that, was a fab stay, thanks again to you all!. Nicola, Brenda and Claire xx
We stayed at Hovima Suites Costa Adeje for a week as a young couple and honestly had such a lovely stay. We had a few little things that weren't quite perfect, but overall we really enjoyed the hotel and would definitely recommend it.
Room We stayed in room 429F and were really pleased with the space. The room was very spacious, with a separate living area with a sofa bed, fridge and desk, followed by a separate bedroom with the bed and wardrobe, and then the bathroom.
There were a couple of small maintenance issues during our stay, such as the shower door running slightly off its track, a wobbly towel rack on the balcony and a slightly wobbly desk. However, none of these were major enough for us to feel the need to report them, and they didn't affect our stay.
The balcony itself was lovely and spacious. Unfortunately, our view wasn't anything special, but this didn't bother us too much. The view from the entrance to our room more than made up for it, as we could see the volcanoes and the adults only pool near the Bubbles Bar. It was especially beautiful around sunset.
The room was spotless when we arrived and was kept very clean throughout our stay. The only thing I would mention is that the dark staining around the shower could probably do with a little treatment, but again, this wasn't something that bothered us during our stay.
One thing we really noticed was how quiet the room was. We couldn't hear much, if anything, from outside, so we assume the rooms are very well soundproofed!
Food We stayed on Half Board Plus and thought this was the perfect option for us. We particularly liked that there is the option to swap your evening meal for lunch, which gives you a bit more flexibility.
We did try to swap dinner for lunch on the same day, but were told that this needs to be arranged the day before. This wasn't a problem at all, but is worth knowing if you like to make plans spontaneously. There isn't actually anyone checking this in the restaurant, but we made sure to arrange it through reception anyway.
We had breakfast every morning, lunch once and dinner three times in the main restaurant, and I have to say, this was some of the best buffet food I've had abroad.
Breakfast was fairly similar each morning, as you'd expect, but there was still plenty of choice. Special mention to the toasties, pancakes and yoghurt selection!
Dinner was definitely the highlight for us. There was so much choice, including a risotto station, pasta station, stone-baked pizza and a grilled meat section that changed throughout the week. Everything we tried was really tasty. We also happened to go on the Mexican-themed night, which was delicious.
There genuinely seemed to be something for everyone, and we were really impressed with the quality and variety of the food.
Drinks For us, Half Board Plus was perfect. We didn't feel like we needed unlimited drinks throughout the day, so having drinks included with our meals and being able to enjoy them when we wanted worked really well.
Our absolute favourite place was the adults-only rooftop bar. We went at least four evenings during our week, particularly around sunset. The staff were lovely, the drinks were great and the views across Costa Adeje were absolutely beautiful. The mango frozen daiquiri deserves a special mention!
I also loved having the Starbucks at the Bubbles Bar. As a coffee lover, this was a really nice bonus, and the smoothies were also really tasty.
Pools The adults-only pool near the Bubbles Bar quickly became our favourite place in the hotel. It was quiet, peaceful and got the sun for most of the day, which was exactly what we wanted from our holiday.
It's located close to the splash park, but during our stay there were actually very few children around the hotel, so this didn't affect the atmosphere at all. It remained really peaceful.
The circular, soft sunbeds towards the back of the pool were SO comfortable and got the sun for most of the day. We loved them so much that we barely went anywhere else! As the pool was so quiet, moving around to follow the sun was never an issue either.
We did walk past the main pools and they looked great, but they were much livelier, with entertainment going on throughout the day. We personally preferred our little quiet corner where we could just relax and soak up the sun.
Hotel & Grounds The hotel itself was one of the things that really stood out to us. Everything looked very modern, clean and well looked after, and the whole hotel smelled amazing every time we walked through it.
It was virtually spotless throughout our stay, which really impressed us.
The only minor thing we noticed was that one of the lifts on the family side of the hotel was out of service for our entire stay. However, there were still another lift available so we never had any particularly long waits.
Overall, the hotel felt modern and fresh, and the cleanliness was definitely one of our favourite things about it.
Staff & Service The staff were fantastic throughout our stay. We arrived at around 10pm after a long day of travelling and were given snack boxes at check-in, which were actually really good and such a nice little touch after travelling all day.
It was also my early birthday celebrations while we were away, and the hotel had left a bottle of sparkling wine and two little cakes in our room for our arrival. This was such a lovely surprise and really made us feel welcomed.
Every member of staff we spoke to was friendly, welcoming and happy to help with any questions we had. We honestly couldn't fault the service.
Entertainment We can't comment too much on the evening entertainment as we didn't actually sit down and watch any of it.
From what we saw walking past, there were tribute acts and karaoke. This isn't really our thing, so we didn't stop to watch, but it was clearly very popular! The entertainment area looked packed and lively every night.
Location We thought the location was great.
Playa de Fañabé is around a 10-minute walk away, and it's a lovely beach with plenty of sunbeds available to hire. The prices varied between the different beach bars, so it's worth having a look around before choosing one.
There is also a strip of restaurants and bars nearby, which we visited a few times. As with anywhere touristy, some places were better than others, but overall we found them to be reasonably priced, with friendly service and some really nice food and drinks.
There is also a supermarket around a three-minute walk from the hotel, which was really handy for picking up anything we needed.
The Costa Adeje market is around a six-minute walk away and takes place on Thursdays and Saturdays. We went on a Thursday and it was absolutely packed, but there were some great stalls and it was worth having a look around.
Overall, we had an amazing week at Hovima Suites Costa Adeje and genuinely wished we'd booked 10–14 days instead of just one week!
There were a few small things in our room that could do with some attention, but none of them affected our holiday or were serious enough for us to complain about.
We're not sure whether we'd return, mainly because we did notice a few little signs that some areas may start to show their age over time. In a strange way, we almost feel grateful that we stayed when we did, while everything still feels so fresh and modern.
That being said, we had a fantastic holiday, loved the hotel, loved the adults-only pool and rooftop bar, and would absolutely recommend Hovima Suites Costa Adeje to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Costa Adeje.

Location is very central and plenty to do when out and about.
Staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you.
Food is very good and plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, drinks are good not only Spanish drinks served on the all exclusive packages.
Rooms are excellent and clean and plenty of space within having the bedroom separate.
Entertainment is good with different acts on and the Entertainment crew do a great job especially Jonny who was a pleasure to be with and the shows they put on were very good to with music, picture, bingo quizzes and the October fest was excellent as they served German beer, and food in the afternoon. Also they Entertainment team had games, hoopla, dart throwing and a picture frame to have your picture taken. Prizes of hats and hovima bags for winners.
All in all an excellent hotel and worth a visit and this was our second time and we will be back I'm sure.
My partner and I spent 7 nights here and had a fantastic stay. The hotel was beautiful, very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
Our room was spacious with plenty of storage, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job every day, although we appreciated having the option to opt out of cleaning when needed.
The hotel app/QR code was really useful, especially as reception didn’t explain a great deal at check-in. It gave us all the information we needed, including restaurant and bar times, activities, evening entertainment and what was included in the all-inclusive package. We were really impressed with the drinks selection, including several spirits, cocktails and Amstel.
The main buffet restaurant was a real highlight. The food was fresh, flavoursome and great quality, with plenty of variety and good vegetarian options. Having done all-inclusive holidays several times, this was honestly some of the best buffet food we’ve had.
As a couple, we used the adults-only pool, which was clean, relaxing and had a bar nearby. The only downside was that the pool area didn’t get much sun until around 11:30am, and loungers were often reserved with towels, although this didn’t affect our stay.
The entertainment was a little hit and miss, and the bar area became very busy around 8:30–9pm, making it difficult to find a seat. The Kenya Boys were definitely our favourite and are highly recommended! The entertainment team worked hard throughout the day, and a special mention to Johnny (I think that was his name!) who was always so friendly and happy to stop for a chat.
The Sunset Champagne Bar on level 5 was also a highlight — absolutely beautiful at sunset, with a great atmosphere, DJ and lovely staff. Definitely worth visiting!
The location was very convenient, around a 10-minute walk to the beach, shops and shopping centre. There was also a little train nearby that ran to Los Cristianos, which we really enjoyed using and felt completely safe.
Overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing and romantic stay. The hotel was clean, beautiful and welcoming, and we would definitely return. 4.5/5 ⭐️ — we only wish we had booked a longer stay!
Just returned from a 5 night stay at this hotel, absolutely amazing. Staff were lovely from the minute we walked in, so helpful with everything. Hotel is immaculate. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels and they are absolutely spotless. Food and drinks in the hotel are also really nice, so many option for everyone. The location of the hotel is really good, taxis into las Americas are also really cheap. The reception staff also booked us taxis which turned up almost immediately. Overall a fabulous hotel with great staff that go above and beyond. Already looking to return in the new year
