We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a one bedroom apartment in block E. Our son is 17 so block E is was perfect (closer to adults only side). There were three of us and the apartment and balcony were really generous in size and immaculate. Housekeeping and room service had great attention to detail. Thank you to Andrea for organising a third lounger for us…we barely left the balcony! Breakfast was excellent and thank you especially to Yeli and the chef and kitchen for looking after our gluten and lactose intolerance requirements so well, and to Claudia who was really friendly, efficient and attentive. These are just a few names but really thank you to everyone. We really needed a recharge week and so appreciate being taken care of so well. The gym was great too.And room service on the balcony watching the sunset was a treat.
Genuinely the best hotel we’ve stayed in. The staff can’t do enough for you and are all so pleasant.
Kids loved the kids club, lots going on everyday.
The food is exceptional - THE BEST breakfast ever, lots to choose from and the chefs will cook you whatever you want fresh.
The rooms are stunning, we had a sea view room with a massive balcony and it was beautiful So clean and with a service twice a day if you want it.
A visit to the hotels Gelateria is a must - loads of flavours that you don’t normally see and decent portions too. I didn’t get the name of the lady who worked there but she was lovely.
The pool is great, salt water but not really salty like some - no fighting for sun loungers, always seemed to be loads available. The only thing is that the tiles around the pool are extremely slippy, my son slipped and I noticed a few others did too.
The area of Caleta is lovely, food is mostly great. They seem to be doing lots of construction and development within the area, none of which disturbed us - you wouldn’t even know half the time.
Thank you for such a pleasant stay, fantastic!
We are enjoying the last day or our 10 day stay at the Royal Hideaway Corales Suites in La Caleta. Lots of positives to our holiday, 2 adults and 3 kids aged 14, 11 and 7;
A few areas for us that we were a little disappointed, and hence 4 stars not 5;
All in all an excellent hotel and a very enjoyable stay but a number of areas where they could improve the customer experience.
When I checked in, I noticed that my former partner’s contact details were still attached to my booking. I immediately raised this with reception, made it absolutely clear that the details were incorrect and specifically stated that nothing was to be sent to those contact details. I also crossed out the incorrect information and provided my own details on the documentation.
Despite this, the hotel subsequently sent my former partner a dinner reservation confirmation.
I immediately reported the incident to the Duty Manager and requested to speak with the General Manager. The response was slow and I was repeatedly left having to chase for updates rather than being proactively reassured about what was being done.
Since returning home, I have attempted repeatedly to escalate the matter, including contacting senior management within the Barceló Group. Despite this, I have received no meaningful response or acknowledgement.
I have emailed 5 times and contacted the hotel via telephone 2 times this week. Again I have had no response.
I’ve visited Tenerife many times, but this was my first stay at this particular hotel.
We arrived early knowing the room wouldn’t be ready, but ended up waiting until after the advertised check-in time regardless. The public areas aren’t air-conditioned, so it gets uncomfortably hot. The hotel layout is also confusing — reception just hands you a map and leaves you to find your own way.
Breakfast was a mixed bag: the buffet itself was great and staff were excellent, especially with allergies, but the cooking station was understaffed, leading to long queues, and coffee orders were inconsistent.
The room itself was lovely, though the open-plan bathroom felt like an odd design choice. Housekeeping, on the other hand, was faultless — the room was cleaned to a high standard every day, right on time. The gym was well-equipped and a great size too.
Other things fell short. I waited 32 minutes at the pool bar before a waiter even offered me a drink. The pool itself wasn’t clean — the water wasn’t clear. And in the evenings there’s no hotel bar, nowhere to sit, and no entertainment at all.
The location is good, with plenty of restaurants nearby in La Caleta, but overall I wouldn’t stay here again - raring for me is 3.5
