As good as always

Review by JohnandTrinaThanet Monkton, United Kingdom

Spent a week last week with friends at one of our favourite hotels. Very clean, room cleaned every day, great food choices every day all day. The only disappointment was the Italian restaurant the sitter was rude and the food not great. But overall fantastic weather very warm with the odd cloudy period...

It’s a shame the bottom infinity pool was very cold. You must wear masks at all times and you were told if not. Hotel was full so some evenings we went across to the sister hotel for evening drinks. Will return

Better than ever

Review by GlasgowLainey glasgow

We have just returned from another fabulous week in our favourite hotel. We were apprehensive as like many, it was our first post pandemic holiday and we had realistic expectations that all might not be as before but our fears were unfounded. Yes, there are changes, as mentioned by others (no juice/beer in fridge etc) but having been to many different hotels in a variety of countries where we have had a fridge but without any kind of provisions given...

Yes, the hotel no longer has the same level of self service for drinks but most of the other hotels we have stayed in, we have had to go to the bar. Our last stay was February 2020 and we felt the service could have been better but this time, the service at meals was excellent – drinks topped up and plates cleared very quickly. The only slight hiccup I had was that for some reason, there are difficulties connecting kindles to the wi fi and reading is very important for me on holiday. However, a managed to find a lovely young lady who kindly connected me via my phone (thank you so much Dannielle and hi to Linda and Rona) – it saved my holiday! I have written many reviews of the hotel before so not a lot to add except to say thank you to Marina (and Manual who very kindly printed our PLF forms) for the excellent customer service and Jesus at the pool bar for our wonderful sangria. There were many members of staff I would like to thank but too many to mention. I would just like to finish by saying, we very much respect other people’s opinions but it has been a very difficult time for everyone and we would suggest you go and enjoy your holiday and look for what is right and not the faults – we certainly did and it was fantastic.

Winter Getaway

Review by twinmum Kent, UK

Just back from our first visit and here are our thoughts.

The lift system took a couple of days to get used to (limited mobility) but worked well once you know where you’re going.

Buffets - excellent.

A’La cartes - food good but didn’t really like the buffet starter and sweet system.

House wine - ok.

Loved the beer, wine, sangria and cold drinks on tap at the snack bar.

Snack bar was a bit disorganised but food was ok once you got the right order.

Pools were a bit chilly but it is November. They were practically empty but they still did not allow inflatables which was a shame.

Cleanliness - the whole place was spotless even the pool toilets.

Bali bed - absolutely worth the €30 but make sure you book early.

Activities - the staff were not pushy at all but there was plenty going on.

Evening entertainment - some good, some bad but definitely entertaining 😂

Rooms - a bit dated but spotless...

Memory foam beds, extra pillows on request, hairdryer adequate. The shower curtains are a bit short so make sure you don’t get water on the bathroom floor as it gets skippy.

The Indian restaurant in the square (not in the AI package) was excellent and very cheap.

Drinks - nice selection of spirits and cocktails. The honey rum is a must-try.

Really relaxing holiday and amazing hotel team of hardworking and welcoming staff.

Review by Izzywizzy123456

Enjoyed our stay at the sunlight Costa adeje. Spent 7 days here as a couple. The food is varied and plentiful and available throughout the day and evening, as are the drinks. What we enjoyed was the opportunity to book into one of the speciality restaurants as part of the all inclusive costs...

We particularly enjoyed the Asia restaurant. The hotel room is large airy and very clean. Great shower with high water pressure and comfy very large bed. What we really appreciated was the courtesy, friendliness and efficiency of all the hotel staff. They work as a team, serving and clearing tables with efficiency and a smile. They all wear their masks all the time and we felt very safe in these covid times with the staff ensuring that they were keeping us as safe as they reasonable could. This is a hotel whose staff team deserve a big thank you for their hard work. The pools are large and there is a beautiful infinity pool at the far end of the hotel. plenty of sun beds available. One previous review mentioned the entertainment…there are singers who come and entertain in the evening. The music can be heard throughout the resort but it finishes at a reasonable hour and many guests do flock to the patio areas to listen, chat and enjoy the music in the open air. One word of advice, book your three speciality restaurant dates and times as soon as you can. We found times booked up quickly. There is a costal path which is accessed easily from the hotel and the views of the Atlantic Ocean as it rolls onto the rugged coastline is beautiful to watch. All in all a great hotel to stay at with a friendly, hardworking and professional team of staff. Thank you.

Do not come here for the entertainment

Review by FionaB1 London, United Kingdom

I am writing this while listening to the worst renditions of popular songs ever. I asked for a quiet room but am right above the live performance area and tonight the band are awful! There is a guitarist who seems to know what he or she is doing but the vocalist is just making noises nothing like the lyrics!
