This amazing hotel is located in Los Cristianos, Tenerife. The airport is conveniently close, about 15 minutes away by car. There are plenty of entertainment venues, restaurants, cafés and bars nearby. Guests will love to spend the day in the outdoor pool area since they can enjoy the sun sunbathing, relax on a sunbed under the shadow of an umbrella or have a swim in the pool. The bar invites each traveller to taste the delicious beverages and snacks they have to offer. If they prefer, they can go to the restaurant for a delicious breakfast or dinner. The comfortable rooms have been perfectly equipped with all the essential amenities and are nicely decorated so visitors are able to have a wonderful time in town.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Although the apartment was adequately kitted out and kept clean, it was an uncomfortable stay as there was no air conditioning, only ceiling fans. We imagine that during July and August it would be unbearable. We assumed when we booked this holiday that “free WiFi” meant in the apartment and not just in a public room at the far end of the complex. I am visually impaired and, if there was any small print referring to WiFi. I didn’t see it. During our stay the poolside cafe was out of action twice and the hot drinks machines were not working on another day. The poolside toilets were out of action during 2 days and part way through a 3rd. This meant people had to use the ones near reception, which meant trailing water into the building which could have caused accidents and was also against the rules of the establishment. We ate in the restaurant one evening. The food was of poor quality. On a positive note, the staff at reception were very helpful and professional. The cleaning and maintenance staff too were very efficient and helpful. This could be a good place to stay, but it is in serious need of updating and renovating, as the building looks tired and worn!
Lets start with the bad points....apartment we had was dated...basic and generally clean....you pay for a holiday but expect to pay more around the pool...if you want a mat for your lounger...you'll pay.....if you want a parasol....you'll pay ....if your a couple thats nearly 11 euros per day.....greed by the apartment owners....never been subjected to that before.....Location wise its pretty well situated...bars, restaurants and supermarkets within 100m....beach no more than a 10 minute walk as is the centre of los cristianos....Harriets for breakfast is a must....the Fox does a superb bbq grill with generous portions...highly reccomend the Bull and Moon for drinks relaxed atmosphere with background music Overall don't expect these apartments to be 3 star as advertised but you get what you pay for....once bitten twice shy
This was our first visit, it gets three stars for location, cleanliness in both the rooms and general areas. Shout out to our housekeeper who was lovely. It would have rated higher but for a really ridiculous lack of comfortable seating. Every single chair was so uncomfortable! I know that sounds silly, to complain about seating but it actually stopped being funny and got to be a very real annoyance. The chairs in the room aren't designed for comfort, even the balcony chairs. All of their chairs are rigid, moulded plastic, even the library chairs were solid moulded plastic. Not a cushion in sight. The 'arty' chairs in reception look quirky but are almost impossible to sit on. It has, unfortunately, put us off ever going there again which is a real shame.
Pool is tiny compared to the pictures, food was awful hardly any choice and the dining room has about 12 tables. The rooms have no air conditioning or safes ( these are in a locked room downstairs) the rooms were not cleaned for the first 3 days.The one pool attendant who looks after the sunbeds had attitude and takes your beds if you leave them for 2 minutes to go to the toilet then when you ask him for it back he’s tells you to go get one that someone has left the other side of the pool. I will never go here again and would advise anyone to keep away
Having arrived at hotel with excitement, that was quickly deminished by being presented with 3 police cars outside. Having been to tenerife on numerous occasions, we found this was very poor. The rooms on our side got no direct sunlight all day, the room it self was not cleaned regularly. The selection of food was very poor, we wondered how the restaurant was so small for the number rooms. Was good job their was local food places, even be TOLD by a poor attendant that I'm a fooking prick for not assisting him in his own job, have never been so rudely spoken to and management did nothing to enquire or apologise.
Would never waste good earned money on the Aguamar apartments, this is my first time writing a review as don't want families to a holiday ruined due to this stay.
