- H10 Big Sur Boutique Hotel
Revelling in its charming setting, this hotel is located in the former fishing village of Los Cristianos. The hotel is nestled amidst beautiful gardens, lying just across the promenade from the sea. Guests can enjoy stunning views over the ocean and the harbour. The resort centre, with its numerous shops, entertainment venues, bars and restaurants, lies just 500 metres away from the hotel. Guests will find themselves just 400 metres away from the bustling resort beach of Los Cristianos. This delightful hotel features elegantly-appointed guest rooms, which are well equipped with modern amenities. Guests will appreciate the wide range of facilities and services that the hotel has to offer.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Had a fantastic time in the H10 Big Sur staff were extremely helpful and friendly rooms where cleaned every day. Breakfast was amazing loads to choose from . The add extras we received every day was so unexpected and extremely thought will definitely be back .
Arriving at the Hotel we were suitably impressed with the decor and booking in experience. Sadly, once we got our our room our impression changed. Our room looked small and pretty basic with the smallest balcony we have ever had. The bathroom was tired and there were signs of mould round the bottom of the shower and the shower tray was worn and very slippy when wet! meal. The bottom of the wall tiles were dark and stained. The resturaunt was okay, we enjoyed the outdoor eating at breakfast and evening meal. Breakfast was fine, lots of choice and we had no complaints. Evening meals were not up to the standard we are used to at other 4 **** hotels. Food was in dishes that were not heated meaning at best it was warm when we took our choices. There was always a queue for food cooked by the chef (steaks fish etc) and other choices were quite bland. The salad bar was also poor . Sweets choices were generally good but it was impossible to get a coffee, we had to go to the bar and order our own. The Bar was good, the waiters were always happy and quick to serve us. Entertainment in the evening was of a good proffesional standard. Laura (Animation) was outstanding, she worked hard every day to keep guests entertained with games and poolside quizes. Generally this Boutique hotel is not what we expected and we wont be back. The actual location is very good for getting out and about to the shops and bars.
This was our fifth visit to this hotel. Always been happy in the past, but not this time. Hotel needs a major refit, looking shabby now. Superior room no longer has champagne on arrival day, was supplied with a cheap fizzy rose instead. Food used to be excellent. Breakfast so called bacon was cremated most mornings. Not as much selection as there used to be. No more bottled water supplied to room. These cost cuts seem to be down to new management. Would no longer regard this hotel as four star,even the staff seem less happy than previous visits. Cancelled next years visit, even though we lost our deposit. That's how dissatisfied we were.
Not enough sunbeds both in the pool area and on the top floir sun decks.
Recently returned from staying here and must add one of the worst hotels I’ve stayed at. Food was dreadful very little choices and as for the coeliac options they were few and far between. Room was dated , air con wasn’t working and shower was leaking. Lovely housekeeping lady had to leave extra towels each day to mop up the water. Complained about air con and twice someone came to look at it and said it fixed… it wasn’t. Was offered to change room but the rooms offered were not as good as room we had. We had booked superior sea view. Not like the photos on website. The alternative rooms offered were pokey and no chairs in room. We were given two filthy fans to use during our stay. Looked for a late checkout and only after complaining about room were we given a different room on day of departure. The only saving grace for this hotel is the pool and the excellent lady doing daily activities. Paid for the use of the safe but couldn’t put any electronic devices into it as it was located over the fridge and was too hot. Have been told hotel under new management and it has gone down since this happened.The manager was nowhere to be seen. It’s not somewhere I would return to.
