Los Cristianos

This modern apartment hotel enjoys a prime setting in the tourist resort of Los Cristianos. The airport is conveniently close since it is just about 15 minutes’ drive away. The complex is located a few steps away from a host of shops, bars and restaurants. Guests will find themselves just 500 metres away from the beach. This wonderful complex greets guests with the promise of a relaxing home away from home. Guests can enjoy a leisurely swim in the pool, relax and unwind on the sun terrace, dine in style in the restaurant, and partake in a host of activities. The apartments are beautifully designed, and come complete with modern amenities for added comfort and convenience.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Beautiful apartments

Lovely apartments has everything you need for self catering even give you a little pack of washing up liquid and dish cloth in the kitchen which is great as this is something you would need to go out and buy.

All staff are so friendly, pool area is beautiful, would definitely stay here again.

lovely place but my jewellery was stolen:(

lovely place and atmosphere don’t get me wrong but it had to be ruined when i came back to my room after going to the pool to find out that my jewellery had been robbed, it was there just before the cleaners came in and all of a sudden it’s gone after they’ve gone in my room, not a coincidence. recommend that all things you really don’t want stolen is hidden very well!!

Decent Apartments

Review by CabelloBanana Dundee, United Kingdom

Have stayed here before many many moons ago as a teenager and had fond memories so returned with my own family. Complex is lovely and peaceful. Comfortable pool area, not too loud but great for families and staff were helpful. Apartment is basic but fine for what we needed...

Good self catering facilities which was important for us. But overall a bit tired and in need of a revamp - rooms were exactly the same as when I last visited in 2003! Biggest gripe for us was the lack of air con and I wouldn't go back unless they installed this - all you have are ceiling fans. I had to sleep in the lounge area on the sofa as it was a bit cooler.

Points to be aware of:

Sunbeds Sun lounger policy - we went in June and there were plenty of loungers. You didn't have to be up at the crack of dawn. Some days there were still plenty as late as 11am. Albeit, not in the best locations but you can't stroll down at 11 expecting prime location sunbeds. You can reserve sunbeds as early as you want but when the lifeguard starts his shift (between 10am and 10.30) if your bum is not on your towel, he will remove it. While I find this to be a fair policy to prevent people reserving beds and then disappearing all day, it does result in quite a few confrontations. In the 5 days we were there we witnessed 3 occasions where people got confrontational with other guests, accusing them of moving their towels (not realising it was the lifeguard). I think reception should make the policy clear to guests when checking in because it is confusing. The policy is simply that you cannot reserve beds so its confusing for new guests who turn up the first morning and see all of these towels out before 10am.

Loro Parque Hire a car! The bus is torturous. Took almost three hours to get there meaning we missed 2 hours of park time. Its only an hours drive but the bus stops at that many hotels and they fill every single seat. Also no toilet on the bus! Unacceptable for a 2-3 hour journey. Staff were also rude and after several pickups we had to stop again for fuel? Surely should have been fueled up prior to the journey. Ruined the day for us and was still 0retty expensive. I would drive or would otherwise pay extra for a taxi. That being said the bus coming back was much better and only half full.

Las Americas About a 20 minute walk away along the coast but 10 times better than Los Cristianos for restaurants, shopping, nightlife etc. There is a large supermarket on the main avenue which is much cheaper and more selection than Los Cristianos.

Passarella Mall This is 5 minutes away from the apartments but pretty undiscovered because its in the opposite direction of everything else. Amazing restaurants and the top floor is basically an open air bar and eatery but it has a huge rooftop kids play centre. Very secure, kids area is locked and kids need signed in and out. Food is banging, various deli counters serving street food. We also had the best frozen cocktails here from the top floor British bar under amazing views of the hills. Amazing Mexican restaurant too - best food we had our entire stay!

Siam Park This is a must to visit! We've been to water parks over the world including Disney and Universal and this was genuinely the best. Most of the rides are families but take note: If there are less than four of you, you will have to ride with a stranger. Water shoes are welcomed and encouraged on all rides except the tower of power. Fast passes are relatively cheap and so worth the money to ensure you get on everything without queueing. These can only be bought inside when purchasing a locker. And if you arrive at park opening time, you will have to stand in a large queue for said locker (there was only on person serving the entire queue, and only one locker area open at that time which was a bit ridiculous). Food was also very good - not your usual deef fried rubbish. Plenty of healthy options but still pretty expensive. We got a taxi to Siam Park for just 6 Euros and the free bus back.

Wifi WiFi in the hotel is free for guests but not very reliable. Enough to scroll Facebook etc but streaming Netflix etc can be challenging at peak times.

Overall a good stay and would return to Tenerife but not to HG unless upgrades happen!

Great appartments shame about the life guard.

Real nice apartments, tip pay for a pool view or you could be facing a busy road. We had a lovely room the staff and ladys who cleaned our room were brilliant 👏. Reception very professional...

The Location of these apartments are really convenient. Now the life guard 💂‍♂️ at first we thought he's just walking around doing his job, but then realised this man is ruining the pool area constantly walking around the deck chairs moving them even if you went for a swimming he would rereposition your chairs, his best trick is moving your towel away if your not sat on it at 10 am. He'll hid in the corner waiting to pounce, but that's okay hotel rules but if you are his friend 😉 your okay a bit of bouble standards going on, and yes he likes to be noticed. I think he's been doing this job a long time and forgets it's the guests holiday and not his way. He's in your view every minute of the day. My advice would be just sit down and chill.

Just not for us

Arrived at the hotel and were allocated a room on the ground floor. After having some trouble with the key trying to open the door to get in we opened it to find a very dark dated apartment with a patio area that opened to the pavement at the side of the road. It was fenced off however this was not acceptable with a young family as it did not feel safe and the noise of the cars driving passed was awful...

The patio doors did not feel secure. I went immediately to reception who then offered me an upgrade to a pool side room at an additional cost. I took the room as there was no way we were going to be staying in the first room . The new room was the same layout as the first it was also ground floor but felt a little more secure with it being on the inside of the hotel. It was very small dark and dated the toilet stank and the fridge was temperamental. Stayed for 3 nights until we arranged a transfer to another accommodation. It just wasn't for us the only positive thing about the place was the pool area. The sunbeds were cleaned every morning and sunbeds available as any that were reserved for a long period and not being used the towels were removed for those that wanted to use them.
