Best Tenerife 2026 - Bravo!
Best Tenerife. Brilliant. I have come to this hotel since I was a young girl aged 14 (12 years ago) and I have made it back to this hotel 5 times since. I can honestly say I feel like each year the hotel changes slightly (for the better!)
Booking: Upon arrival, I had asked if there was a chance of an upgrade to our room after emailing back and forth. Julia was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure that this was honoured on day 2. We are very grateful for her help. There was another colleague whom (forgive me with the description) had a slick back hair cut and looked 5’7 - he too was equally kind and helpful with each request we had… even when my husbands wrist band broke (three times lol).
Rooms: Initially we were in 335. I must say, that room was tiny. Small and not what I had expected sadly. Chipping on frames, smelt musty, walls were dirty. However, once we got upgraded on day 2 we were much better impressed with the senator room (room 520). The cleaners came each day and also had given us bottles of water each day, did a great job!
Food & Restaurant & Piano Bar: Guys, fabulous! The staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and funny! The food this year was great, much better than previous years and we enjoyed the theme nights too! I think there was Thursday 13th August Lunch time that was the only disappointment. But on the whole great food, drinks service and kindness!
Entertainment: Comparing to last year and years before… you smashed it! We watched the entertainment sometimes from the courtyard and our balcony and we really enjoyed the quiz nights, game nights, flamenco dancing and many singers who came to visit! The entertainment team were super kind and welcoming and had a great sense of humour!
Roof Top Terrace: We have always loved this part of the hotel! Clean, well organised although… it had appeared that some days people who were not all inclusive / senator / AND over 18 years old were slowly coming to use the facilities. If paying customers are to pay extra for the room & roof top terrace please can you make sure that you are keeping an eye on who goes up there… some people used the fire exit to get up instead of their key card.
Hotel toilets -1 floor & floor 0: These toilets were dirty and unclean. I am pretty sure that during my quiet time in the piano bar I had seen a cleaner make their way to the toilets and did not even spend 5 minutes in the area. After they had left, I needed to go and I found that the toilets smelt, were messy, floor was unclean and the toilets themselves were partially blocked.
Suggestions: Whilst looking over the balcony on the roof top terrace, my husband had thought it would be a great idea to have a proper bar up the top - like a mini canopy that you have down stairs! He also thought that maybe… because the suite rooms are huge and have a beautiful balcony that they too should have some sort of private pool or jacuzzi! Personally, I am fussy when it comes to pillows, perhaps a pillow menu would be an idea! The pillows in the room are very hard and uncomfortable!
Summary: All in all - bravo best! See you in 2027!
The Best Tenerife
Great location ,not far from golden mile. We stayed for 11 nights and this Hotel is great for families and couples .We had a senator room which was very big with a large Terrace with Sun loungers .We also had a pass for the Rooftop which had 2 Jacuzzis and Balli bed's .The Hotel Rooms were cleaned everyday .The Staff were very friendly .I will be going back next year.
Honest Review
Hello, I don't usually post reviews but, for someone who was anxious because of all the negative reviews I just wanted to reassure those who are feeling the same.
I stayed for a week Tues 4th Aug- Tues 11th Aug as a family of 6 aged between 2-55.
Food
The food was delicious, lots of choice, themed nights were good. I'll admit the food wasn't always piping hot but, it was never stone cold. Staff always wanted to help and couldn't do enough for us. Always asked if we needed a high chair, drinks, gave a choice of where to sit. Staff cooking food was always accomodating, if anything was empty staff were always ready to help. Had 2 fussy eaters with us and they ate fine. Although, don't expect there to be chicken nuggets as we didn't see any during dinner but, I think they sell them as part of the lunch menu at the bar.
Drinks All drinks were made well. We were half board so, had to pay for our drinks during the day. Again, lots of choice and the cocktails were delicious. Breakfast all inclusive drinks were not the best, coffee was pretty standard but, the juices were nice and usually cold.
Bar staff were incredible, really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It felt like we had prority over all inclusive.
Swimming Pool Generally clean around poolside, no rubbish or litter. Quite busy during peak times but, didn't feel overcrowded and there was easy access to pools. There is usual wear and tear around the pool but, nothing that would affect your holiday. If you were swimming underwater the water was often cloudy but, with goggles was fine. Staff were testing water every morning.
Sunbeds You could always get a sunbed but, if you wanted one near the pool you had to get up before 6 to get these. The pool staff are really good they were always helping people with sunbeds and umbrellas you just had to ask. Sunbeds were comfy aswell.
Rooms We were on the ground floor and we had 2 rooms between us. Our rooms had good facilities, we had no trouble with showers/taps. Air con was good. Rooms were cleaned everyday. Dirty towels and rubbish were always taken away but, we made sure we put the towels in a pile on the floor and all rubbish was put in the bin. Cleaning were staff were really nice and wanted to help. Rooms did look a little tired but, wouldn't affect your holiday. If you were looking faults you would find them.
Also, when we first arrived in the late evening, the lock on the balcony door was broken, we told reception and someone had fixed it within 20 minutes.
Entertainment Very basic but, it was great for kids. Did lots of quizzes and games.
The animation team were amazing. They were involved in the kids and knew them personally. No one would walk past without saying hello.
Pool party was also really good fun and a highlight of our holiday.
Overall, we had a very lovely holiday and felt refreshed. Take the negative reviews with a pinch of salt and enjoy the holiday 😉
Family Friendly Hotel
My wife and I went with our two small children and we had a really lovely time at the Best Tenerife. The food was lovely, the staff were so friendly, the entertainment was cheesy but the kids loved it. The location was perfect, bang in the middle of everything with a bus stop outside to all the popular attractions. All I would say is the hotel is very tired. One of the three lifts was out of use the whole time, the room looked like it had some water damage, and the air con was very very slow (although did keep the rooms cool).
Holiday break
There is no way the hotel is a 4 star as advertised it's more like a 3 at a stretch. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. We had bed and breakfast which suited us as we like to go out in the day and evening to explore. I am a veggie there was plenty of veggie options but nothing is labelled and no meat alternatives ie veggie sausages etc. The ham omelette and veg omelette are made on the same grill. I found to bits of ham in my veggie omelette. But the restaurant and hotel are spotlessly clean. The pool area is great we stayed in the kids summer holidays so you would expect it to be busy. There was 5 in our party. If you wanted 4 sunbeds in a row you would have to get your towels down at 7.30am so not ideal. But there is a great beach 5 min walk away. I would describe the inside of hotel as very tired especially the rooms and corridors. And definitely would not expect from a 4 star. There is a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee. Thereare only 3 lifts to service the 6 floors with one out of action on our visit so we got loads of steps in.Overall we enjoyed our stay apart from the points mentioned.
