- Gran Hotel Oasis

This luxurious apartment hotel is located in the south of Tenerife, between Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas. It has fantastic views of the Golf Course and Atlantic Ocean. The airport is just a bout 15 minutes’ drive away. There are public transportation links a few steps from the hotel and offer bus service to the area's tourist attractions. Guests will have the opportunity to rest in the outdoor pool area sunbathing, relaxing under the shadow of an umbrella or having a refreshing swim. The rooms decorated with bright and soothing colours are equipped with all the needed amenities for a comfortable and memorable stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The lady at check in was very friendly and informative. She even asked us later on if everything was to our satisfaction, which was a really nice touch.
The rooms were clean and we quite liked the fact that the kids could sleep separately upstairs from us (I have 11 and 16 year old boys so they also appreciated this).
The food was nice, we aren't a fussy family and always found loads to eat. My eldest even tried squid rings for the first time - a good opportunity perhaps for those present fussy to try something new, without having to commit to having a whole plate of it Yes sometimes there was a small queue to get in, but the staff work really hard to turn the tables around quickly so never a long wait.
The hotel area is clean and so green and beautiful. We loved being surrounded by all the greenery. Yes, there can be birds around, particularly around the pool bar area - however with lots of trees this is to be expected. If guests maybe put their left over food from the snack bar in the bin after finishing, this would keep it to a minimum. We certainly didn't expect staff to tidy up after us all the time.
Yes you are away from the madness, but only a 25 minute walk to either Playa De Las Americas or Los Cristianos. This didn't bother us, we preferred it, and front desk were always happy to order a taxi when needed.
We loved the entertainment; we enjoyed the DJ at the foam party, loved the music quiz, Angel and the one woman band, however the highlight was the second white party we went to (I think a chap called Rafa was singing that night) was the most enjoyable night out we've ever had in a holiday resort. The drinks were flowing and it was really nice to see everyone up, dancing and having a fab time. We loved the entertainment team, always there with a smile and ensuring that everyone was having the best time.
Finally, have to give praise to the staff - all of them - from the very cheery housekeeper who always greeted us with a 'Buenos Dias' whenever we saw her, to the lady on reception who helped us buy some tickets to Loro Parque (with transport). Nothing was too much trouble. It was really nice at the pool party when all the staff came out, they all got a huge shout out (and round of applause from the guests), and all danced to 'Happy'.
Thank you to the Gran Oasis for helping us to have the best family holiday ever.

Will start with the positives:
Hotel and the main areas clean and tidy, toilets tidy too, pool area kept clean. Staff and maintenance friendly. Buffet food great and loved the themed nights. Never went without choice. Kids entertainment team were fantastic. Shelby especially; very attentive to our children (13, 5 & 1) The kids loved her! Always activities for the kids. Foam party was absolutely fantastic! Wish they did this more than once a week as the DJ was great - the safety around this was fantastic too no kid without and adult allowed in the pool no matter what age, they checked too! White party a really lovely experience, table service for drinks. Nice having the pool attendants coming around with fruit during the day. Pool bar has a lovely selection of snacks - You could even skip lunch and eat there if you wanted that more chilled option. Drinks great - Although would have liked more a selection of cocktails on the all inclusive but wasn't bad! Waiters in the restaurant really friendly and helpful with getting us a highchair when we needed one ☺️ Hotel a short taxi ride into the town. Supermarket on site (did close at 6pm apart from Friday but if you organise yourself and get in before closing then it's really not a problem) Loads of reviews about the birds in the restaurant - really a non issue for our stay, there was a few but not near the fresh food at all! The hotel is beautiful and picturesque.
Now onto the less positive:
The cleaning of the apartments wasn't up to scratch, floors not cleaned/swept properly, some of the bed linen was marked, we didn't have a messy room either, kept it clean ourselves, daughters bed not made on one day. No welcome drink (all hotels we've stayed in have done this - would just add that extra touch) The dining room is far too small for the capacity of the hotel - there is just not much space for everyone, leading to ques to get food making it overall not a great experience for dining all quite cramped in. Even if you went at the off peak times which we did having younger children and needing to get to the mini disco for 8pm. Dining chairs are SO heavy and wide and a pain to get in and out of the table to be honest. We feel tea and coffee should have been served to the table for that extra touch which would save some queuing for drinks at least. First holiday in the summer hols for a while - Getting sunbeds, 6 we needed, had to be down by at least 7am latest to get ones far back. Would have liked music around the pool, even if it wasn't mega loud, just enhances the vibe! Round the pool is artificial grass however other parts where it's tiled was very slippy. My mum slipped over on the way back to her sunbed (really lovely pool attendants checked on her to see if she needed first aid/any help which was lovely) so just be careful and wear shoes with some grip! Pool towels chargeable 2 euros to change them - never had this at a hotel before and think really unessasery - some people might take the mick and get fresh towels every day but wouldn't be the case for most I'm sure even if you set a limit of 3 changes max for 1 week stay to monitor it.
Overall lovely holiday but sadly wouldn't be returning.
There was drunk people next door and they didn’t stop all night and the security guard walked so slow to their room. There’s still chips all over the ground and it been a whole day
Amazing time here. Very clean hotel, excellent bar and restaurant service. Renate, Shelby and their team are beyond amazing. Our 8 and 5 year old have loved every activity that Renate, Shelby and team do. They’ve loved the raffles too!
