H10 Conquistador

Stayed on a privilege all inclusive package between 22nd September to 2nd October, once again what an experience, was allocated room 608 on arrival which was more than adequate and had a great ocean view. The hotel has a great location, with everything only minutes walk away , we usually eat out a few times , but only ate out once , due to the different types of restaurants available and the quality of the different food on offer was fantastic , the staff in every area of the hotel , are well mannered and are always willing to help guests enjoy there visit, a credit to the hotel group , with there organisation , which probably goes unnoticed well done . The only thing I would say was a negative is that some guest's are very inconsiderate when it comes to noise after midnight in there rooms , maybe more information when arriving would help these people , let other guest's get a sleep

We booked 12 nights at H10 Conquistador to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my 50th birthday. After reading some concerning reviews following our booking, we decided to pay an additional €744 to upgrade to Privilege. Sadly, it was not money well spent.

There were positives. The Privilege breakfast team were absolutely exemplary, and Sandrine was incredibly kind and helpful when things went wrong.

Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience really let the hotel down. From a lengthy Privilege check-in and repeated 20–40 minute waits at reception, to problems with our room that seemed to require endless chasing, far too much of our holiday was spent trying to get relatively simple things resolved.

The biggest issue was finding cockroaches in room 703. After reporting the problem and giving the hotel the opportunity to deal with it, we found more on different occasions. What followed was a chaotic room move that took over two hours. We finally got into room 807 just before midnight, only to find it felt dirty, had a broken toilet seat and was missing basic Privilege provisions.

Unfortunately, the problems continued right through to checkout, which became yet another 30-minute wait over something that should have been very simple.

I completely understand that things go wrong. It’s how they’re dealt with that matters, and that’s where this hotel fell short for us.

I deliberately waited before posting this review because I wanted to give H10 the opportunity to respond and put things right. I sent a detailed formal complaint on 24 September. It’s now 4 October and I haven’t even received an acknowledgement.

A real shame, because there are some excellent staff here, but what should have been a very special holiday ended on a hugely disappointing note. I would not recommend this hotel 👎
