Disappointing

Review by rolinman Brandon, United Kingdom

First the good points, check in was quick and the porter took cases up to room showed us how to use air con, television etc. Sadly that’s all that was good. Room 3024 overlooks the shopping centre, restaurants and Hard Rock Cafe...

Not bad daytime but the noise at night was deafening, loud music, people shouting at screaming. Usually quietened down around 2am. At 6 am the bins opposite our rooms were emptied with glass bottles etc tipped from metal containers into metal trucks. Lucky to get 4 hours sleep. When mentioned at reception offered an upgraded room for 70 euros! The rooms don’t have kettles etc so no drink making facilities which I find odd in a 4/5 star hotel. Breakfast was disappointing cold fried eggs, cold bacon etc. Even the pancakes were cold. Asked if we could have fresh, hot eggs were told no while pointing at the cold offering. Even the coffee machine dispenser was cold! We ended up with toast every day. One evening husband too tired to walk further ( recovering from surgery) we asked if we could have an evening meal. Was told fine pay in restaurant. I had a small salad husband had a few slices of pork, a bit of rice and some tinned carrots. For that we were charged 50 euros! I asked the server if that was just for the one meal or wether we were being charged incorrect he insisted that was the correct amount. Our usual hotel in Tenerife is up a hill and is 3* we thought hubby would struggle with the hill and we’d treat ourselves to an upgrade, big mistake

Highly recommend

Review by lauraw98rcs Wexford, Ireland

Such a fantastic hotel. It is located 30 second walk away to the main strip. We decided to upgrade to a pool view and we were so happy that we did as we had full view of the pool and the entertainment at night...

We could just sit on our balcony and watch it. The pool itself is massive. We got bed and breakfast and the breakfast was very nice. It was a big buffet and there was something for everyone. Its great for families as they had kids clubs and games rooms. They had aqua aerobics every morning as well as soccer games a gym and some exercise classes going on. The beach is at the front of the hotel which can be reached through a front gate. I would return to this hotel even though it was a bit on the pricey side compared to the rest but you definitely get what you’re paying for.

Lovely hotel great location

Review by margaret b county durham

The Mediterranean Palace is a lovely hotel the pool is massive and there are plenty of sun loungers and pool towels. It’s spotlessly clean .We booked bed and breakfast and the choice of food is great with a chef making fresh omelettes and poached eggs every day. We’ve stayed three times now and can’t fault it ...

The only down side was the noise coming from nearby bars till the early hours but the hotel can’t stop that and wouldn’t put me off staying again .

Fantastic!!!!!

Stayed here for a week and returned yesterday. This hotel is amazing especially for children with brilliant facilities. Hotel is spotless, views are lovely...

Staff are welcoming and friendly and the breakfast takes champagne breakfast to a whole new level. Selection of food for breakfast is one of the best I’ve seen. Yes the rooms are dated but that didn’t concern us at all seeing as everything else was more than 5 star! It’s right on the strip yet is still quiet at night, there is also a key card entry gate at the back of the pool for entry directly on to the beach. Surrounded by entertainment, bars and restaurants. The pool is huge and heated, and there is often pool side entertainment, and music. Live bands in the evening are great. I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel enough and we can’t wait to return!

Med palace stay

Review by ianmolyneuxdecor1 Wigan, United Kingdom

Been several times and pool area is as good a space as any in Tenerife. Hotel is becoming a little dated but still love it and it’s location 👍 th food selection at breakfast is more than adequate but bacon is a little undercooked at times. Used to be brown sauce to get yourself but now have to ask staff members to get it fir you from the back.
