Not impressed

Review by Aaryan_Agrawal

Pictures are nothing like the real thing. Cleaner only came once in 3 days and bed covers were really old. Communication issue with reception when asking for a breakfast pack and specified vegetarian gave us a ham one which was very disappointing...

I stayed here for 10 nights. Air conditioning was extremely poor and fan speed was very slow.

Great location, friendly staff

Review by Christinej123

I stayed here for 2 weeks, the reception area is lovely but deceiving. When the holiday was booked we were shown the lovely up to date photos of the apartments and they were nothing like the photos which was very disappointing. Hotel staff are very friendly and go out of the way to help you...

The first week of the holiday was great as usual you get the selfish people reserving sun loungers at the crack of dawn and don’t even use them !! But the second week the lifeguard finally started removing them and helped guests find sun loungers. Beds are very uncomfortable the level of noise from other guests early morning was ridiculous. One morning was woken up at 5am with a loud alarm going off due to electrical fault and it was 8am before it stopped. You get a lovely sea view from the balcony and the entertainment team were a hit with the guests.

Basic Hotel

Review by elvarh Kopavogur, Iceland

It’s a basic hotel nothing more and has probably seen better days, our apartment was outdated and nothing like the pictures presented. You could see on the walls and handles that cleaning could really need improvement. When we arrived we where little disappointed.

To be fair this is a 3 star hotel apartment so I can’t really expect the same standard as 4 or 5 star hotel but I do have a minimum requirement of a clean environment which was lacking.

In our apartment there was clear sign of mould and fungus which got worse every day as you can see in the photos.

The location is good, but have in mind that most hotels in Adeje are situated close or few minutes from the beach...

The view from the hotel is good and our experience from the staff was good and friendly.

If you love the smell of cannabis then stay here!

Review by AllyWhite78

Booked this place 5 days before flying over to Tenerife as the apartments we were supposed to be staying at weren’t able to open due to Jet2 cancellation. First impressions of the hotel are great. Walk into reception, very modern extremely pleasant staff...

Unfortunately for us that’s where it all went downhill. Granted our flight was early and we got to hotel at 11am, We were checked in, told our room numbers but unfortunately they wouldn’t be ready until 4pm. We had kind of planned for this and had put swimwear and flip flops at top of cases just incase. When asked where we could store out luggage we were directed to an portacabin that wasn’t secured, we were given a key for it but it wasn’t required as people just left it open. We were then able to sit and look at our balcony’s from the poolside for the next 5hrs which were untouched and looked in the same condition from the moment we got there. No curtains moved etc. So we can only assume the rooms were ready the whole time. When we did get to the rooms we were all pretty shocked. The smoke alarms in the rooms are covered over with what looks like toilet paper that has been moulded over them. (This wasn’t just one room, other guests confirmed it was the same in their rooms) Towel rail hanging off the wall in bathroom, 3x lightbulbs not working, sockets damaged, light switches with bare wires showing. One of our rooms was for 3 people. The bedroom was made up for two people. When I asked the house keeper about this, she pointed to the couch, then took me to the bedroom and opened the cupboard and showed me a large bag with bedding in it. She then left the apartment. Beds were really uncomfortable with a plastic sheet over the mattress, this proved to be really noisy anytime you moved in your sleep. Also most times we were on our balcony you had the pleasure of the smell of cannabis coming from balconies from the large groups of Spanish guests who come down from the north of Tenerife. We arrived on a Monday. I went to reception on the Wednesday to advise that our towels hadn’t been changed. The receptionist advised me that this was correct and out towels wouldn’t be changed or room serviced until the Thursday, then every 3 to 4 days afterwards. Bear in mind that the towels are white so after 6-7 showers they aren’t very pleasant to use. When the rooms do get serviced it was a case of leaving clean towels and clean bedding. It was up to us to make the beds. There’s no brush or mop in the room so you can’t even give the floor a sweep yourself which is a bit of a pain especially if you’ve been to the beach. I had previously emailed hotel to ask about pool towels. I was informed that we could hire them at a cost of €5 per towel. What I didn’t realise is that if you want clean towels it’s a further €5 per towel so for x5 towels at €5 changing them every two days would have cost us €125 over the course of two weeks. So it was a case of hand washing them in the bath for us. The bar staff are not welcoming and if I’m honest it’s a bit overpriced. €3 for a beer isn’t too over the top I suppose, it’s the €3 for a draught lemonade that got me. The hotel is really noisy at night. This may be due to it’s close location to veronicas. We’re not early to bed as a family and will often sit out on the balcony till early hours. The problem is the doors slamming, people banging about in rooms, that seems to travel through the hotel. The only positive note about the hotel new Entertainment Supervisor. A genuine nice guy who really is trying to make a difference. So to sum up. If you want a hotel that’s, close to Veronicas, you don’t mind using the same towel for 4 days, like the smell of Cannabis, don’t really plan on spending anytime at the bar then this is the place for you.

Very tired apartments

Review by Discover61067630592

Staff at Palm Beach are very helpful and professional but I cut short my trip after one night due to the standard of accommodation. It was very dated, beds were very uncomfortable, sofa bed was badly stained and the bathroom suite needed replaced. The shower was of a poor standard and the lack of air conditioning is a big issue...

It is not a resort suited for someone like me approaching retirement but it is ideally placed for younger travellers who want to be in the centre of the "action". One thing I was disappointed in was the fact that the sun loungers were not at a safe distance and the staff did not appear to sanitise these in between usage.
