Being just a couple of minutes’ away from the beach, this amazing hotel located in Playa de las Americas, Tenerife, is perfect for a romantic trip. The airport is just about 15 minutes away by car from the complex. The outdoor pool area is simply the best place, there guests can relax and unwind under the shadow of an umbrella, enjoy the sun by sunbathing or having a refreshing swim in the pool. The roof top pool will be another level of relaxation, rest on sun lounger while sipping from a margarita or swimming in the infinity pool while admiring the view of the Atlantic Ocean. The restaurant will receive them with open arms and delight them with delicious food and tasty beverages. After a full day of fun and entertainment, the rooms decorated with bright colours, equipped with all the essential amenities and cosy beds are perfect to have a good night sleep and have an unforgettable holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay at the tigatan, firstly the staff are so nice and friendly, the reception staff, the room cleaner, especially the singing chef who sings away while making omelette in the morning and carving meats at dinner, he was very entertaining and funny. Our cleaner kept our room immaculate, particularly enjoyed the powerful rain shower.the pool area is lovely with comfy posh sun beds, different entertainment going on all day, the pool snack bar was also very nice, you order and pay for your food, they deliver it straight to your sunbed.😊, the food in the restaurant was nice with a wide variety of offer. However my favourite part of the hotel has to be the beautiful roof top bar, beautiful sunsets every night with delicious cocktails,🍹🍸🌞 and nice chilled music, and views.
Just arrived back from an incredible week at tigotan everything was amazing from the glass prosecco on arrival until our very last day. Hotel was extremely clean, food was fantastic so much choice pool area is great
Even though this hotel is adults only the entertainment is fantastic a mix for everyone's taste. From pool.parties to games, to fashion shows to saxophone players to bands and djs to singers tigotan had it all.
The rooftop bar was my favourite providing amazing cocktails hotel prices for food was very good Great location 15 mins from airport and bars on doorstep of hotel..
ALL staff went above and beyond and was always happy. Entertainment team are fantastic Guests are all friendly and so many returning guests which speaks volumes. Honestly this is best hotel ive stayed in and was sad to leave. We will 100% return.
Great location, about 15 walk to several beaches. Need your keycard to get in the front door at night so feels safe. Entertainment was amazing- especially the Polar Party and the Foam Party! Food was good, and was able to get a sunlounger. Shout out to Luca (who has the best dance moves) and Thomas, and the rest of their team who were both so friendly and made the entertainment entertaining!
Such a shame. We returned with high expectations and left feeling incredibly disappointed.
Having spent a wonderful 10 days at Tigotan Lovers & Friends over Christmas 2023, we decided to return for our late summer holiday this year.
Unfortunately, what should have been another fantastic stay turned out to be a real disappointment, and sadly, we won’t be returning.
From the moment we arrived, things just didn’t feel quite right.
Firstly, we were initially offered one of the hotel’s less desirable rooms, something we also experienced during our previous visit. Not exactly the welcome you hope for when returning to a hotel you’ve previously enjoyed so much.
There were then a number of issues throughout our stay which, individually, might seem relatively minor, but collectively left us feeling that standards have slipped considerably.
For starters, there were no towels provided in our room, something you’d expect to be a basic requirement.
The attitude of the staff was another noticeable difference. During our previous stay, we remembered the hotel being welcoming and friendly. This time, unfortunately, we found many of the service and housekeeping staff to be quite miserable and unapproachable. A smile and a little friendliness cost absolutely nothing, yet can make such a difference to someone’s holiday.
We were also extremely disappointed to discover that the second rooftop pool was out of action, with maintenance work taking place. There had been no prior warning of this, which I feel is particularly poor when guests are booking and paying for facilities they reasonably expect to be available.
The premium lounge was another area where we noticed a decline. The quality and selection of snacks simply weren’t what we remembered from our previous visit.
And charging guests for ice? Really? Sometimes it’s the little things that leave the biggest impression.
We also experienced issues at Café del Mar, where items advertised on the food menu were unavailable.
Unfortunately, we also had an item of personal clothing, a pair of pyjamas, go missing from our room following housekeeping. Whilst I wouldn’t want to make assumptions about what happened, it was another frustrating experience during an already disappointing stay.
The new Laboratory restaurant was another significant letdown.
We had been looking forward to trying this new addition to the hotel, but the experience was underwhelming from start to finish.
The service was incredibly slow, the overall dining experience lacked anything particularly exciting or memorable, and we actually came away wishing we’d simply eaten at the buffet instead.
For a restaurant that’s supposed to offer something a little different, it really didn’t deliver.
What makes all of this particularly disappointing is that we know how good this hotel can be.
Our Christmas stay in 2023 was genuinely wonderful, which is precisely why we chose to return. We weren’t visiting for the first time with unrealistic expectations. We were returning because we’d previously had such a positive experience.
Sadly, this visit felt like a very different hotel.
I appreciate that hospitality is a demanding industry, that maintenance is sometimes unavoidable and that not everything will run perfectly all of the time.
However, when you’re spending your hard-earned money on a holiday, you expect a certain standard of service, cleanliness, facilities and, above all, hospitality.
We didn’t expect perfection. We simply expected the standard that made us want to return in the first place.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t what we experienced.
We’ve come away feeling genuinely let down and disappointed, and as much as it pains me to say it, we won’t be returning.
Such a shame, because this was once a hotel we couldn’t wait to visit again.
Just returned home from our 4th stay at the Tigotan, another great stay but I do have to agree with some of the comments regarding looking after return customers - we were given room 345 which was right above the bar and quite noisy and we weren’t offered an upgrade like the last time we stayed here, however that being said the staff are all friendly, the entertainment remains excellent, as does the food. We again had no issues finding a sunbed, the only downside for us was that we booked the roof top and half the pool was shut with building work going on which was a shame as no one notified us and we still had to pay which I felt was a bit unfair given that some facilities weren’t working. Despite this we still had an enjoyable stay and would definitely return!!
