This hotel is situated just 700 metres from Playa de la Arena in the south east of Tenerife, with the best climate in the whole island and panoramic views of La Gomera and Teide - the highest peak in Spain. For the children the hotel features a children's playground, mini-club and children's swimming pool
Dip into one of the 4 outdoor swimming pools or enjoy other recreational amenities including a water slide and a fitness centre. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and a television in a common area.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I’m writing this review while still staying at the hotel, and honestly, I would say don’t be put off by the negative reviews, as the hotel is much better than some reviews make it sound!
The hotel could definitely benefit from some maintenance and refurbishment in certain areas, but the excellent pools and outstanding service really make up for it. The staff are friendly, helpful and always willing to assist, which makes a big difference to the overall experience.
I would particularly like to highlight the issue with the food temperature to the management team. The food is genuinely very tasty, and there is a good selection, but unfortunately, most of the dishes are served cold or only lukewarm. This is the biggest disappointment of our stay and something that really needs attention. It’s a shame because the quality and taste of the food are good, but being able to enjoy a hot meal would make such a difference to the overall dining experience.
Overall, we’re having a lovely stay. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the fantastic pools and excellent service make it a place worth considering. Don’t let the negative reviews put you off completely. our experience has been much more positive than some reviews would lead you to believe. With a little more attention to maintenance and, especially, food temperature, the hotel could be even better.
This is a great hotel. It is ideally placed for the beach and local restaurants and bars and public transport. Please not that there are quite steep hills in this area. The staff were mostly really lovely and all were professional. The food was really excellent. I think it’s the best I’ve had anywhere in a hotel. The room was clean but basic as we were there all inclusive didn’t need the kitchen amenities which were limited. We loved that there were lots of nationalities. In particular quite a lot of French people who were just lovely. There was three pools and lots of entertainment in at the middle pool. The atmosphere was great and if you wanted white you could get it or if you wanted lively it was available.
Writing this by the top pool on our last day. We enjoyed our time here, but had realistic expectations due to the price paid and the other reviews.
We are a couple in our 50's and booked on a B&B basis.
The hotel is okay, but when you look closely it needs maintenance or TLC in almost every area.
We had a sea view room (F301) and although there was another building across the street between us and the sea we felt is was a worthwhile upgrade.
I cannot stress enough how uncomfortable the sofa bed is. We were only using it to sit on and it was almost unbearable.
There were a number of maintenance issues in the room that we chose to put up with rather than report. The front door catches on the floor when it is half open and took a hard push to open fully. Similarly the bathroom door was hard to open after it was fully closed. There was a water leak near the toilet but is was small and was in an out of the way area so we were content to ignore it.
Our cleaner was a lovely lady but she just ignored the do not disturb sign every time we put it out.
There are 3 pools which are a bit tired but usable enough and not too cold. It would be more comfortable for guests if they were designated as an adult pool at the top, activity pool in the middle and family pool at the bottom. There is no lifeguard at the top pool but families and children still use it. Edit: there was a guard at the top pool for around 20 minutes today but he didn't stay long. I definitely wouldn't want small children there. There are guards full-time at the other pools.
The only food we had was breakfast. Again it was okay. Plenty of choice, british style sausages, albeit cheap ones, which is a plus but the bacon was mostly overcooked. Luckily there are other options. There is an omelette station.
Most of the communal areas do not have air-conditioning. The WiFi was very patchy, I had my own data with my phone provider but it would be very frustrating if you had no choice but to rely on the hotels signal.
Lastly, the local town is tired in a similar way. The beach was pleasant and the sea temperature was nice and refreshing. The black sand gets very hot so be warned...
We got the bus to Playa de las Americas and Los Gigantes which was a great way to get around the local area.
Overall a decent late season break with easyjet holidays for £850. Would have been disappointed if we had paid more though.
We have just returned from Servatur Isora Suites after a week holiday, we are a family of 3 adults & 2 children both under 3 years old.
We had rooms C205 (solo) & C206 this block is the furthest rooms away from the children's splash pool which was a bit of a pain due to distance and carrying the kids toys and a small tent for shade.
My room C205 was very clean and the bed was straightened everyday, the bed was very comfortable. However the room could do with some upgrades such as replacing the grout at bottom of shower tray.
Within the suite you have a hob, but no pans or utensils, so unsure why the hob is there. You do have a microwave but no kettle or cups / mugs in the room so unable to make a simple brew.
In the bedroom you have a ceiling fan and the air-conditioning in the living room worked extremely well.
Some of the walkways were crumbling so several pot holes around the site.
The All inclusive had good variety. However the food was only ever warm but edible. They have self service soft drinks along with beer and tapped wines / sangria.
The staff stopped and spoke with the children and interacted which was nice to see. The entertainment staff are absolutely fantastic, my granddaughter loved see these staff at meal times they always waved and even made her a flower out of a napkin.
The hotel WiFi is very intermittent.
I would return again. However I would request rooms closer to the splash pool for more convenience.
This hotel is not great if you have any mobility issues.
We have just came home from a fabulous, memorable holiday! We would recommend this hotel completely and are already looking forward to returning again!
It is a great find, a lovely hotel within a nice quiet area with shops, restaurants and access to the black sandy beach just a short 5-10 minute walk away.
The entertainment and activities at the hotel were fantastic, something going on throughout the day. We were not bored at all! Pool, darts, water polo, water basketball, aqua aerobics, ping pong, live dancing and cooking shows during the day to name a few. The animation team are fabulous - great at their job involving people, especially a big shout out to Weronika. The evening entertainment was amazing (Circus and Red Dragon just 2 that come to mind), some of the best we have seen on holiday! Very professional!
All staff, whether in the restaurant, on the bars, cleaning team, etc, etc, are very friendly and go out of their way to help. Thank you 🤩
Food was delicious with a great variety and plentiful. Pleasantly surprised by the high quality of food, huge fresh prawns, steak, duck, etc..
We had a lovely view over the pool from our spacious room. This was cleaned daily. We also noticed the whole area of the hotel being cleaned every morning and during the day as well. Very well maintained.
We honestly can’t think of any negatives regarding our stay at the Servatur Isora Suites, thank you so much to all who made our holiday such a great time!
