- Delta Hotels Antalya Lara

Set high on a cliff-top overlooking the deep blue water of the Mediterranean Sea and rocky grey Bey mountains, this attractive hotel offers spectacular views and comfortable rooms for a luxurious holiday in the sun. The hotel is just outside the city of Antalya in the Lara beach area, where aside from sea and sun, visitors can enjoy remarkable cultural attractions such as Hadrian's Gate, the historic old town and several stunning mosques. The hotel's rooms are stylish and contemporary with air-conditioning and wireless internet. Guests can relax and rejuvenate in the hotel spa complete with traditional Turkish bath, sauna, hot tub, indoor swimming pool, steam room, vitamin bar and massage services, or simply relax with a book by the shimmering outdoor pool. The hotel restaurant serves a varied and wholesome breakfast buffet as well as lunch and dinner, and there is also an a la carte seafood restaurant where guests can enjoy panoramic views and delicious coastal cuisine.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The setting is lovely. Breakfast is very poor. Cold coffee, and not a lot of hot breakfast choice at all. The lunch by the pool is good however.
This Delta by Mariott is nicely located on by the Antalya coast, it is for adults only, so you will not be bothered by noise. The facility is quite nice not huge but it did not feel crowded during my stay. I liked the 'beach' platform reached by an outdoor elevator. The quality of the facility do not feel 5 stars, at most a 4 stars. The thing that it was most annoying for me was the service, or the lack of. It seems most do not care, not their problem. If I wait 20 minutes a bottle of water when the bar is empty because the waiter is on his mobile, no one cares. Or if I sit and wait half hour for making an order, same, its my problem. Ok some kids are trying, some sort of training was noted, but others dont speak any English and they, dont even try. The place is nice and it could be outstanding if A) the quality of the structure would be upgraded and B) if all staff would act as a 5 stars hotel.
I recently finished an 8 night stay at the Delta Antalya.
Pros: Pool and seaside areas are beautiful, with fantastic mountain views. I’ve stayed at several hotels in this area and the Delta’s sea access is probably my favourite to date. Received a complimentary room upgrade. Room was small and basic but clean and overall nice. Being adult only was a plus, much quieter than other hotels in the area.
Cons: The hotel does not allow any outside food or beverages. This is not stated on their website or communicated with guests prior to check in. Be warned, they strictly enforce this policy and it applies to everything, not just takeaway foods. In fact, as guests return to the hotel with any kind of bag, the security team glares and will confront guests about the contents of bags. Reception informed me this policy was put in place as apparently there was an incident at a hotel in Istanbul where a guest brought outside food in and ended up getting sick and subsequently blamed the hotel. I’ve stayed at many hotels in Türkiye and this was the first property I’ve seen with such a policy. To add, rooms receive two small bottles of water daily, when I asked for additional water at Reception I was told the bar would provide it. Good luck asking for water at the bar, sometimes the woman working the bar was friendly and happily handed over 2 extra bottles of water, other times she gave me a hard time, refused to provide me with water and in one instance called an associate to come assist. Eventually they gave me the water but I was left feeling like I did something wrong. They also appear to keep a tally of water that’s distributed by room.
Tip: If you book a room without breakfast included, email the property ahead of time, they will quote you a lower price to add breakfast than what they will charge at check in. They won’t communicate this so be sure to add it prior to check in or risk paying more.
Overall: Would I stay there again? Likely, especially for the location, pool and sea areas. Did I feel it deserves a 5-star rating? Absolutely not, especially as a Marriott property.
A great location, friendly staff and beautiful views. The pool is gorgeous with good food and drinks. The hotel is on the Mediterranean with gorgeous views. The adult only atmosphere was nice for us. Close to tours and attractions and restaurants and stores, even the mall. Would definitely return and recommend!
Overall ImpressionThis is a magnificent hotel that suited us perfectly, and we will gladly return here for our future vacations. Initially, we booked a short stay for walking and shopping, but we loved the hotel so much that we extended it twice, staying for 10 wonderful days.
Overall ImpressionThis is a magnificent hotel that suited us perfectly, and we will gladly return here for our future vacations. Initially, we booked a short stay for walking and shopping, but we loved the hotel so much that we extended it twice, staying for 10 wonderful days. Here is what made our stay truly exceptional:Atmosphere & Layout: We highly appreciate the calm atmosphere and the polite, pleasant guests. Even though the territory is compact, it is so well-designed that it never feels crowded. There are always free sunbeds by the pool and the sea, as well as free tables at the restaurants.Music & Views: The music selection is excellent — relaxing lounge tunes by the cozy pool and slightly more dynamic yet peaceful beats at the beach. The panoramic views of the mountains, the Lara cliffs, and the sea are breathtaking.Beach, Pool & Spa: Everything related to relaxation is top-notch. The SPA and hamam are beautiful. The sea access is beyond praise: the elevator to the platform and the sturdy, wide staircase with excellent handrails make swimming safe and comfortable. The water is incredibly clean.Location: The location is perfect: close to the airport, with the best cafes, restaurants, pharmacies, and shopping malls either within walking distance or just a 5-to-15-minute taxi ride away.To make the guest experience even more flawless for our next stay, we would like to share a few friendly suggestions:Beach & Pool Comfort: It would be very convenient to have a small towel station directly by the pool or beach to avoid going down to the SPA center each time. Also, extending beach hours in the summer from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM would allow guests to enjoy quiet morning swims, sunrises, and sunsets.Room Functionality: Adding a shelf in the shower for toiletries, more shelves in the wardrobe, and a small bench or ledge near the entrance for beach bags and sunglasses would highly improve room comfort. The Wooden Flower Terrace: This terrace is stunning but feels underutilized. It would be a dream to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or breakfast there with a sea view, as it is currently closed during those lovely morning hours. We express our deepest gratitude to the entire staff for their attentiveness, which made our stay unforgettable. A very special thank you goes to Alla and Savage for their exceptional hospitality.Thank you for making our holiday so memorable!
