Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The resort grounds are beautiful and spacious with plenty of sunbeds, and the food is consistently great. Unfortunately, the rest of the stay was exhausting and loud. Despite renovations, the rooms are in poor shape with paper-thin walls, you hear neighbors coughing, people above you and loud groups screaming through the hallways at all hours. The evening shows are completely mediocre, sleep is impossible before midnight or past 7:00 AM. It’s fine for families who don't mind non-stop noise, but terrible for anyone seeking actual rest. Definitely wouldn’t return.
2nd visit to Swandor returned this week with 12 family members and unfortunately would not return again. Cleanliness of the rooms standards have dropped from 2 years ago everything was replenished but not cleaned, towels had holes in them this time round and seemed smaller which is a shame we found a shampoo sachet on arrival and was still there on day 10 when we left. My daughter was with me this year with her girlfriend having come out only in last 18 months this was their first holiday as a couple, a guest made a complaint whilst we were all in the pool that them being affectionate and by this I mean playing in the pool and a peck was disturbing and said guest wanted to call the police. The hotel came to them told them to stop or they would be arrested in front of other guests which was highly embarrassing. It hurt to see my child put in this situation I spoke to concierge who did apologise however this did not change the whole experience. We had one evening playing a game in the darts bar as a large group we were a little loud laughing and enjoying ourselves to where a table adjacent to us complained to the bar staff and we were asked to be quiet or leave the bar, I am aware everyone has different ideas of peace holiday fun etc but was not a nice experience this time round. The actual hotel is beautiful the food etc cannot complain the entertainment staff are fantastic and made it fun. Management and other guests however need to learn to relax and how to treat others !!!
We are currently staying at the hotel and having a fantastic holiday - all 40 of us adults and children. Great hotel to go with a group - the kids indoor play club is a god send to get them out of the sun for a few hours, the staff are great and the kids loved them.
Overall a fantastic holiday with great people.
We have just returned from a great 10 nights at the Swandor. Positives - Beautifully clean everywhere, including beach toilets! Branded spirits used as standard Lovely modern, neutral decor 2 bed suite was excellent, spacious, good location. No fighting for sunbeds (some reserving but still plenty left) HUGE buffet Masses of tables, didn't struggle to get a table for meals at all Lovely staff who make the effort to remember you Huge pools which didn't feel overcrowded Jetty on the beach is really lovely, chilled, amazing clear blue sea with lots of access directly off the Jetty. Impressive entertainment, huge arena, great service but why plant trees right in view of the stage?!
Personal observations - This is a huge hotel which is brilliantly run but you have to be prepared for the sheer volume of guests, especially at meal times, it's pretty overwhelming! The buffet whilst huge was very repetitive for all meals and extremely lacking with hot vegetarian options. Narissa snack restaurant is really nice but limited choice For lunch & dinner, the main restaurant is only open 12.30-2 and 7-9pm which feels quite rushed particularly for dinner. Only one of the a la carte restaurants is included (turkish) and whilst service was great, food was very similar to main restaurant. It's really nice to have glasses not plastic by the pool but there were several breakages so please wear flip flops at all times! The tiles by the pool are very slippery, (I saw people slip and fall every day) wear flip flops and get water shoes for kids who can't not run! Signs say no reserving sunbeds but the number reserved for hours on the Jetty was ridiculous. There are no quieter pools to go to and the music, activities etc are pretty constant which is fine, but just in case you're looking for peace and quiet, it isn't here! Drains in bathrooms need some attention, our sink smelt really bad.
Fantastic hotel (this was our 11th holiday to Turkey in hotels of this standard and we were very impressed, but it is very big and busy (but also peak season).
In general, hotel looks really beautiful, renovated nicely. Pictures from internet corresponds what it is in reallity. Swimpools were super, especially for kids was very good. Evenings shows were really nice. Rooms were good, clean. Negative points: too much stuff from Kazakhstan who were very rude in communication (at first took your plate, then asked if you finished). Through evenings shows, from some tables took order, from next tables no… Food also could be more different, main restaurant quite big, but food everywhere repeating.
