Extremely disappointing experience for a hotel of this level

I arrived at the hotel with my stay already fully paid for. I showed the staff confirmation through their own system, yet they still insisted that I had to pay approximately an additional US$1,000. The amount was only refunded two days later.

I had also booked and paid for a room with a King Size bed and a sea view. However, on our first night, my wife and I were placed in a room with two separate single beds. I complained immediately, but the issue was only resolved the following day, meaning that we had to spend our first night sleeping in separate beds despite having specifically booked and paid for a King Size bed.

When they finally moved us, we were placed in another room that did not have the sea view we had booked and paid for. This required another complaint and yet another room change.

During the final room change, the staff told us that they would transfer our luggage to the new room. We entered the new room normally and initially had access to it. However, after waiting and realizing that our luggage had not arrived, I had to go back and collect it myself.

When I returned, I discovered that our previous room had been left open for more than 30 minutes with all of our luggage and personal belongings still inside.

I collected our belongings myself and returned to the new room. To my surprise, my key card no longer gave me access to the new room, even though we had just been transferred there.

This was a sequence of failures that consumed valuable time from our vacation and caused completely unnecessary stress: an additional charge of approximately US$1,000 that was only refunded two days later; spending one night in separate single beds despite paying for a King Size bed; being moved to a room without the sea view we had paid for; multiple room changes; our luggage and personal belongings being left in an open room for more than 30 minutes; and finally losing access to our new room while I was collecting our luggage myself.

For a hotel of Rixos’ category and price level, we expected a much higher standard of organization, service, and care for guests.

I acknowledge that some of these problems were eventually corrected, but only after multiple complaints. We should not have had to spend the first days of our vacation resolving problems related to services that had already been booked and paid for.

I sincerely hope that the General Management of Rixos Downtown Antalya personally reads this review and carefully investigates what happened, particularly the situation involving our personal belongings and the series of failures that began from the moment we checked in.

It is a very nice hotel, very kind people working here! The service is very perfect and the room service is very clean! The plus is that there is free starbucks!
