Easter break in Delphin Palace (with an unexpected room change)

Review by Tasha_Zakhar Amsterdam, The Netherlands

We went to Delphin Palace for a short (6 days) break after Easter holidays to explore the hotel and surroundings to potentially spend our summer holidays here. The baby has not seen the sun for a while in Northern Europe (neither did two adults:), and the weather was promised to be just perfect. Our first impression of the hotel was just "wow": everybody was nice and helpful, checked us in fast and offered a "sea-view" room instead of our "partially sea-view" option (for an additional 100 EUR)...

Of course, we took an offer!

Everything was truly great: the room was spacious and the view was nice. We enjoyed spa packages, and the staff at spa facilities were true magicians. I had one of the best massages there. We also used hairdresser's services, and it was amazing too. We have not gone to other restaurants, except for the main buffet one, but the food was amazing, plenty of options, waiters were fast and helpful. Our baby is too little for Mini club, but we went for Mini disco every night (except for the last night, when the staff used "black-facing" theme for animation, we thought it was inappropriate and left the show).

Now to the disappointing force majeure. Day 3, I guess, of our vacation, we discovered a flood in our room coming from the ceiling in the bathroom. The make-up and one of my swimsuits were destroyed(. We notified the reception three or four times. It took them more than five hours to fix it and offer us a new room after we asked for it. The new room, however, had no electricity, nor baby bed. And we spent the rest of the late evening packing, moving our things, fixing the issues with the new room. No one offered us help or apology, we had to run back and force to the reception to keep asking to fix certain things. The apology came the next day by phone from guest relations office with an offer of fruits and wine (they forgot to send it until the last day just before we checked out, so we left it). If honestly, we were unpleasantly surprised how the situation was handled, and we had to spend the whole afternoon and evening dealing with the flood (which was massive, I think at least three other rooms and a hallway were affected).

The last positive moment was that the hotel allowed us to check out late (at 15:00), but my impression was already spoiled. If it was not this, I think the vacation would have been ideal, but avoiding such a stressful situation is one of the reasons we went to Delphin hotels, you expect to only chill and enjoy the sun and the sea. Nevertheless, I think we will keep exploring other hotels in Lara, although if you are not as sensitive as myself, the hotel is really nice.

Delphin Palace, Lara Beach, Antalya, Turkey

Review by 19julit Glasgow, United Kingdom

Not long back from a 2 week Easter break in Delphin Palace. It really felt like a break considering the service provided by all staff. The skaters in the pool area were always there taking drink orders, helping you carry food back to the pool, helping you with your towel on the lounger, not forgetting the man who kept the pool area clean...

He would always greet us with a smile and help us clean up accidental spillages by the kids. A special thanks goes to Mehmet, one of the skaters. He made us laugh and always brought a smile to our face with his friendly service, nothing was too much for him. He also made us laugh a few times with his tumbling on the skates! The kids entertainers certainly kept the children entertained as well as keeping a smile on the adult faces too making us feel relaxed with friendly conversations, making us feel really part of their Delphin family. Special thanks go to Tariq, Ramazan and Baudin who our kids really adored and had lots of fun with. Also, all the female kids club entertainers, special thanks to them who our youngest son really enjoyed to be a part of. We all also loved the dance at the end of the show every night. The waiters in the main restaurant, A La Carte restaurants and in all the bars were excellent at making us feel special. Always greeting us with fist bumps and always happy to see you, again adding to the family feel about the place. Unfortunately I do not know all their names apart from one who was always quick to make us feel welcome in the sports bar - Abdulkadir. He always made sure we were comfortable, thank you so much! As for our room, it suited us perfect. We had a family room, consisting of 2 rooms with connecting doors. One room had 2 single beds, a balcony, a wardrobe, a tv cabinet, a mini bar (filled daily), tv and bathroom with a big double shower. The main room was big and had a double bed and a sofa bed made into a single bed, perfect for my 9 year old son. One night my husband slept in it as my son wanted a go in the double bed and he thought it was comfortable. It also had almost a full length of the wall marble worktop with a tv and tea/coffee facilities as well as a balcony. Underneath the worktop was another mini bar, filled daily! We also had a wardrobe with drawers inside as well as a safe. Our bathroom had a big double shower too. What made it even more special is the little things included. We had a beach bag each containing a baseball cap and t-shirt as well as an over the body phone bag. Most people used these items at the pool to carry their sun cream etc in. the room also had 2 hairdryers, as well as lots of toiletries in both bathrooms like earbuds, toothbrushes, tooothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothpicks, cotton wool, combs, face masks, hand gel, paper cups for hot and cold drinks. Also the cleaning lady would sometimes make our towels into fancy shapes/animals which was a lovely touch. They also made our room special for my oldest son’s birthday and provided a fruit bawl and bottle of red wine with 2 glasses and some additional toiletries. There were rose petals on the bed too. As for the food, we loved everything! Main restaurant and we also tried the Italian, Mexican and Chinese A La Carte restaurants and all were amazing! We also enjoyed the shows every evening, my youngest loved the mini disco and the live entertainment was good in the lobby bar. We also enjoyed listening to the pianist play in the foyer every evening. There was food in every corner so you certainly wouldn’t be short of a bite or two. From the moment we arrived at the hotel, in fact, the airport, when we met our private hire (arranged through the hotel as we booked direct with the hotel) until the day we checked out, we were made to feel so special. We enjoyed it that much that we now just booked for the same time next year. We hope that it lives up to its expectations, which I’m sure it will. Well done Delphin Palace, you really made our holiday fun and relaxing. If I had to say anything that needed to be improved, I would probably say the decor in the bedroom. The lampshades and paintings could be doing with a straightening up, but apart from that, it was perfect. It certainly didn’t put us off booking again. Thank you Delphin Palace, see you next year!

Easter break

Review by 376annec376 Falkirk, United Kingdom

What a fabulous hotel this was, the service was excellent from Bell boys to the waiters , reception everyone doing something to help you. The young waiters at the pool on the roller skates serving you all day were very attentive. There is food and drink 24 hours a day and even the most fussy could find something...

The choice of salad, fruit , bread, fresh cooking, fish, traditional food etc etc During the day there are Various snack bars with a variety of food including pizza and pasta which was made in front of you. We didn’t get around to using any of the A la carts restaurants as we had enough with the main restaurant but that was another option.. The decor is well maintained and immaculate . Lovely walk to the beach and a pier bar getting you good access to the sun. Water sports available there for an additional cost. Entertainment on during the day from the animation team with perhaps limited at night due to time of year, regardless we were happy to sit and relax in the evening. The hotel appears to run like an organised process and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel .
. Ps nice touch with a free beach bag and T-shirt

I liked everything very much! Excellent hotel!

Good day! I would like to leave an extremely positive review of the Delphin Palace Hotel! During our life we have rested in other hotels in Turkey, this time we decided to try Delphin. I liked it very much! We rested in early August 2021! Location, by taxi 15 minutes from the airport, the cost is 20 dollars, excellent, interesting programs, cleanliness, a varied and non-repetitive kitchen menu, there are always free sun loungers on the beach, compliance with all sanitary standards, contactless antiseptics on every step and much more! I would especially like to mention the staff, the hotel team! They work like a well-coordinated mechanism! They always help, they always smile! Special thanks to guest relations, Feride MURAD and Hüseyin KARA! I highly recommend this hotel!

Sincerely, Alexander Komarnitsky.
