Not a 5 star but lots of positives

Unfortunately this Hotel is not a 5 star but overall I would say a good 3 close 4 star. The entertainment team were fab and there was always something for the children and parents to do, they work so hard big shout out to Tarik who was so welcoming and always stopped to chat with us and Idlyda was also fab. Drinks were OK I stayed on the wine most of the time as cocktails weren't the best...

Best mojito you will get is from the staff in the oasis bar who by the way are lovely! Mehmet was nicest most friendliest bar staff member so we always went back to see him and the lovely lady who worked with him (sorry didn't catch her name). Loads of pools but freezing and deep. Beach bar and beach lovely and the food was overall good just repetitive so got a little boring after a few days, the kids corner isn't really a kids corner just has stewed veg and pasta but you can get that in the main buffet so wouldn't waste time no point having it there if I'm honest, no chips, nuggets, pizza, burgers, hotdogs or icecream it was very random. We booked the al a carte Italian but its costs! We've never been to an all inclusive were you have to pay for al a carte so that was disappointing and resulted in not many people attending them. Gentleman at reception was rude and actually rolled his eyes at me when I attended to ask some information over our transfer pick up. Most staff were really approachable and friendly. The hotel is clean and rooms cleaned daily, the colour and foam party was fab and our children thoroughly enjoyed it. Would I go again? For the price we paid yes definitely but if anymore then no probably not. For those who have booked to go dont be worried as you will have an amazing holiday we did there were just parts that could be improved.

Watch for fake reviews! Resort is okay

Multiple people in my family had their phones basically taken out of their hands by a staff member at the resort who made us trip advisor accounts and gave the resort full 5 star review, so I wouldn't believe most of the 5 star reviews here. I went back and deleted that review to leave this real one instead.

The resort is okay. The pools and beach were pretty empty which was nice, you could always find a place to sit...

Some things in our room were broken, housekeeping was inconsistent, the food is okay, but the wifi is basically unusable. There were a few things we asked the reception desk to get fixed or brought to our room and they said they would but never did. The jacuzzi in our room was nice but I wish there was a hot tub or jacuzzi outside with the pools.

For being an all-inclusive resort, there were a surprising amount of things you had to pay extra for so watch out for that.

Some of the people working here we're really wonderful which made up for a lot of the issues with the resort. I might have even left a better review if I wasn't so upset about having my phone taken to leave "excellent" reviews in my name

deceptive review practices. ok stay. everything costa extra money. would not recommend

First off, the reviews here are horribly inflated and here's why. I went to a relations manager to complain about issues with the pool, and her response was to tell me to write a review here. when I started to she told me that she can do it faster and ended up writing a five star review and posting it for me! It was very deceptive and did not appreciate using my voice to market their hotel against my will...

I have a lot of issues with the place overall and would not recommend it.

First of all, the pools are all freezing so we could not enjoy them. The food quality in the all inclusive portion was ok but nothing special. It was all about quantity vs quality. The turkish restaurant was good but you had to make reservations amd we only managed to go there once in a week. we had actually made two reservations but when we showed up to the second one it was closed! the drinks are quite abysmal and we did not have a single good cup of coffee the whole time we were there. there were a few other restaurants but you had to pay close to 20 Euros to use them, which can get prohibitivly expensive when you have a family. everything good costs extra money, which was infuriating considering that we picked a place that is more expensive that most and opted for junior suites. Also all throughout the place there were little broken items and amenities that seemed to be left unfixed. Also the wifi was useless and may as well not have been there. it was so bad that the relations manager actually had to use hotspot to be able to write her false review!

all in all, everything felt scammy and all inclusive. would not recommend with good conscious

Not a 5 star! disappointment .

I was at the hotel 02.05-07.05.22. The hotel is excellent (swimming facilities, location and beautiful view) My comments: 1- The rooms should be renovated because they look old 5/10. 2- The cleanliness of the rooms should be improved 6/10. 3- The food is not good, there is no variety in the food every day the same 4/10. 4- The waiters service is very good 10/10 5- Old bathroom and no variety of shampoos and soaps 3/10 Hope for improvement in order to return to this hotel.

Not a 5 star! cocktails are terrible

Review by sabapooni Coventry, United Kingdom

We travelled on 18 April 2022 as a family of 5 (3 teenagers) with Jet2 from Birmingham airport. Our flight was at 4pm (delayed for 2.5 hrs but Jet2 didn't notify us till we checked in) we arrived at the hotel via private transfers at around 1am. the hotel is about 15-18 mins away from airport so that is a big plus...

We had 2 rooms and they put myself and hubby on the 8th floor and our kids on the 2nd floor, after complaining we got moved the next day to the 2nd floor.
The hotel is quite large and no one explains where everything is unless its the 24hr buffet (note. at 1am the buffet was hardly anything other than soup as a main). The food in buffet was after a day or so very repetitive and the same we got bored and had to eat outside on at least 5 nights. There are two cooking stations, one was oriental mainly noodles and chicken curry (no flavour!) In my opinion the hotel is dated and definitely not a 5 star more like a 3 star, the corridors are dark and dingy and quite a maze to find your way round!!
The poolside and beach area is nice, note there is no food served to your loungers, food must be consumed in the restaurants. The beach is not great, greyish brownish sand and not nice as other beaches in Turkey - Lara beach is definitely not good, probably similar to a UK dirty beach. The pools in April were freezing cold, the inside pool was less freezing but still very cold - that was a let down. We were lucky with the weather as it stayed above 20-23 degrees all week.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel simply down to quite rude staff in reception and some of the bars. The cocktails are all watered down rubbish, they are no way like the real things. The Pina Colada was grossly horrible. We were on the ultra all inclusive which mean nothing really, I wasn't interested in Absolut Vodka and a couple of other Whiskey's. All the spirits put into the cocktails were cheap and nasty, in fact worst than Aldi's version. The Baileys was horrible. I tried every single one and only one came a little better was the Mumba Jumba (whatever it was called). Must admit the entertainment during the day around the pool was good vibes, so thats one positive.

The hotel is dated, the food is not that great. The beach is nothing to talk about. There were hardly any decent snacks available, in fact after 5pm till 6.45pm there is hardly anything decent to eat, as the main restaurants were not open.

The biggest let down was the drinks! and the inside pool being freezing too!

Been and done it Lara beach, will not be coming again - Next holiday booked Abu Dhabi (real 5 star with real cocktails)!
