The location was amazing, and special thanks to Nursu Mehmet hanim, she is reception , she is so nice and kind.
So I really like this hotel.

Amazing

The Resort located in a beautiful scenic hill top with rooms are located downwards to the sea. A Taxi stand is in front of hotel which is convenient for travelling around as well. Nicely planned and decorated. The room we lived was spacious (King bed with sea view balcony), well decorated, clean. Big king bed, covers were clean. They provided plenty of complimentary drinking water bottles. Toilet was clean and seperate area for shower (they provided shower gel and soap only. No shampoo or body lotion which is unexpected for IHG standard). The balcony of our room provided full view of the sea. The walkway gives a vive of castle type area with stone walls and arches. Buffet breakfast had so many items and it was fresh as well. We ate dinner at the hotel for both nights (Expensive but going to city for dinner also cost taxi fare), and the food was good with nice service. Overall this is good resort with stunning as well as serene natural beauty. Problem is, if any of the lift goes out of service (specially the sliding lift that connect rooms to restaurant and beach)than movement in the resort will become miserable. There are so many steps and stairs from the reception to room and from room to restaurant and beach. Lucily all the lifts were working smoothly at the time of our stay. Another problem is they do not send staff to take the luggage at the time of check out. I called them twice and waited for 15 minute and they said it is end of season (is early October is end of season in Bodrum??) so they do not have sufficient staff to send that time. later I managed to carry all luggage to reception and found there was 2 staffs standing for a group of guest check in (which took a lot of time as we stood waiting for check out) and 1 staff is in outside with another guest's luggage check in. They could have sent 1 of them for couple of minutes to collect our luggage. That really annoyed me as bringing 2 + 2 luggage climbing the stairs up to lift and reception took away the nice relaxing feelings. I also noticed some other guest carrying their luggage to reception for check out. So its like they give value to guest while check in and do not bother to give sincere goodbye!!! One more thing. They have a policy of keeping deposit of 400 euros at the time of check in. But the receptionist lady exempted us from that policy saying that we have booking for couple of nights so they won't take deposit. As a whole, the hotel provides really beautiful scene and relaxing atmosphere and recommended for strong capable people.

Serene view, nice stay, beautiful landscape all around.

The hotel is shabby, run down, lacking proper cleaning staff, lacking management staff, Lacking proper A/c and room maintenance, and is obviously owned by someone  who could not give a damn about the guests. We booked for 2 weeks but checked out after a week because the service was no bad, the room we had to chase the front desk daily to have it cleaned. It was not properly cleaned . The water side bar was closed, the beach restaurant closed,, no beach boy to arrange towels or beach beds. No Ice or drinks at beach/jetty available. All the staff kept saying to use it was not their fault, it was end of season and hotel was closed but they were still taking bookings. IHG should kick them out of the IHG Franchise arrangement as it is propably the worst hotel I think I have ever stayed in. I would never recommend this to any one to stay at the hotel. Indeed why don't IHG go and check the hotel out for themselves. The manager and his drinks and beverage manager seemed more interested in fishing of the waterside jetty than actually managing the hotel and aslso the manager seemed forever just doing nothing but walking his dog. The hotel is falling apart and needs to be closed for complete refurbishment. Never again! Bodrum on the other hand is fabulous for shopping and eating and markets etc so don't let this review put you off, just dont stay at Holiday Inn Resort Bodrum by IHG

`A truly dreadful experience and completely insulting and offensive to guests

Pros:
1.Views are amazing, beautiful deep blue sea, sunsets and overall hotel environment design is nice. 
2. Small but comfortable and up-to-date gym.
3. Good WiFi.
Cons:
1. Even with ultra all inclusive or whatever it is called you won’t get 3 meals, only breakfast and dinner, lunch is supposed to be at the open air bar, where huge wasps are flying and trying to land on your food. We were there 2 weeks and all 2 weeks there were wasps and couple of times we had to leave because there were too many of them. Oh, and food in that bar is fast food mostly, they have couple of salads but everything else is just fast food - pizza, french fries, burgers.
2. Have to call to reception at least couple of times to get what u need, they just don’t care that you called them 40 mins ago.
3. Very bad cleaning.
4. Poor choice of dishes at breakfast/dinner.
5. You will have to wait for elevator for 5 and sometimes even more minutes to get on top.

Worst holiday inn hotel so far

The views were amazing! The staff and housekeeping standards were really bad tho. They also ran out of water. The location was not central but it was extremely peaceful and had a private beach too.
