Great location, friendly staff, a lot of activities and spacious rooms. Highly recommended
Good hotel, food, stuff and location
Currently here for around 11/12th time. That tells you alot. Lovely hotel, food and drink not problems. Staff cant do enough for you. 10 min walk into town which is also fab
Got to recommend the boat trip from hotel with James, he can be seen walking around resort, always so friendly and chatty and willing to answer any questions. Boat trip used to be called Queen Boat, new Boat even better than the last one, new name Albatross. Absolutely fabulous and I tend to go on every year. Staff all work hard to give a good experience.
Still got nearly a week left and already dreading leaving this beautiful place..little bit of heaven. Entertainment even better, bathrooms refurbed. Nice extra touches..branded toiletries, no card needed for electricity either. Will be looking at prices for next year, may bring more family
Lovely hotel and pool food is good and great rooms Animation team very friendly and helpful
This is not the hotel it once was. We've been coming to this hotel twice a year for the last 16 years and have called it a home from home but if our September stay is no better than our June stay it will be our final year at La Blanche which is really sad. Starting with the positives - all the hotel staff are lovely snd very helpful, from housekeeping to reception to bar staff. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the grounds and pool area are beautiful and well cared for. The drinks are good and labelled spirits are used. The breakfasts are lovely and the food in the snack bar is fine.
The negatives - The method of ordering in the snack bar is by scanning a Qr code and the chances of actually getting everything you ordered are not high. Be prepared to reorder some dishes. The main restaurant in the evening was far noisier than we've noticed before, this may tie in with the large number of children in the hotel this June, not sure. The food in the main restaurant wasn't good. Repetitive, badly cooked and limited choices compared to previous years, consequently we ate out 8 or 9 times as we couldn't face braving the noise or mediocre food. The animation team. unlike other years when we knew all the staff and would sit and chat to them, never spoke to us so we didn't get to know them other than to say they seem to be noise blind. For the first 10 days of the holiday they played the same set of music around the pool every day, when the aquarobics started another speaker blasted out dance music over the top of the pool music which is annoying and not remotely relaxing. A third set of music was playing all day at the beach bar. This daily mix of 3 different lots of music seemed to be a speciality.
One of the big negatives in the hotel is the current mix of nationalities. A few years ago there were a few brits, lots of Dutch and a mix of other Europeans. Everyone was friendly and wanted to have a good time on holiday. Now the hotel seems to have been aggressively marketed to other nationalities who are not so positive on holiday. I felt sorry for the hotel staff who had to cope with their demands unfortunately they also caused friction with other hotel guests.
We are hoping the atmosphere and food will have improved in Septrmber or sadly we will have to rethink our accommodation for 2027. Most other regular/annual guests have already done this which says everything.
