This hotel is located on the hillside over Akyarlar Bay, which has been selected as one of the top 15 beaches in the world by Forbes Magazine. The resort has a unique view of the Greek island of Kos across the Aegean Sea. Stylish and modern, it offers a choice of bars and eateries, including a cafe, restaurant and disco. For the business minded there are a number of meeting rooms, a business centre and wireless Internet access. The hotel has a total of 4 swimming pools, 3 of which are outdoors, including an activities pool, a children's swimming area and an aqua park. Guests can relax by the poolside snack bar or make use of the sun lounges and parasols on the sun terrace. Plenty of sport activities and facilities are available to sport enthusiasts.
We have just returned from a fantastic 10 night stay and wanted to share how much we enjoyed our experience.
Although we arrived very late at night, check-in was quick and seamless. A porter was waiting to take us and our luggage to our room, which was a welcome touch after a long journey.
We stayed in a duplex suite with two bedrooms and access to a huge swim-up pool shared between just 12 suites. It was absolutely fantastic and quickly became one of the highlights of the holiday for us and the children. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, with excellent housekeeping throughout our stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the minibar was kept well stocked. Thanks to the hotel's hillside location, the views from the room were simply spectacular.
The hotel itself is set in a stunning location, with beautiful pools, a lovely beach, and immaculately maintained grounds. Everywhere was spotless, and there always seemed to be someone working hard to keep the resort looking its best. The views from the main restaurant are wonderful, and the terrace bar is the perfect place to sit with a drink and watch the sunset.
The pool area is huge, with plenty of space for everyone. At one end, you'll find the water slides, which our children absolutely loved and spent hours enjoying. There's also a great splash park and playground nearby, making it an excellent choice for families with children of all ages.
Despite the hotel being fully booked during our stay, it never felt crowded. There was always plenty of space around the resort, and we never had any difficulty finding sunbeds by either the pool or the beach. One thing we particularly appreciated was the relaxed atmosphere in the mornings. There was no need for an early rush to reserve sunbeds, and there were still plenty available even later in the morning.
We also took the opportunity to explore the surrounding area during our stay. We enjoyed a day trip to Bodrum, which was well worth visiting, with Bodrum Castle being a particular highlight. The views and history were fascinating, and it gave us a great insight into the area. We also visited Turgutreis Market, which was a lively and enjoyable experience, with plenty of stalls to browse and souvenirs to pick up.
We also took the ferry across to Kos. While the island itself was lovely, we probably wouldn't recommend this excursion for families with younger children. Although the ferry crossing only takes around 30 minutes, the passport control queues on both sides were extremely long and ended up taking far longer than the journey itself. Had we known this in advance, we may have chosen to spend the day elsewhere.
The food was excellent, with a wide variety of choices throughout our stay. We visited both the Italian and Seafood à la carte restaurants and enjoyed them both. There were also plenty of dining options available during the day around the pool and beach areas. We'd especially like to mention two waiters in the main restaurant, Mehmet Emin and Önder, who were exceptional. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine enthusiasm made every meal more enjoyable, and they are a real credit to the hotel.
We also spent some time in the spa and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The facilities are beautiful, and both the hammam and massage treatments were excellent, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind.
A special thank you also goes to Hamza, who took some wonderful family photographs during our stay. The pictures are beautiful and will be treasured for years to come as a reminder of such a happy holiday.
Overall, we had a truly wonderful and relaxing stay and were genuinely sad to leave. From the stunning location and excellent facilities to the outstanding staff, every aspect of our holiday exceeded our expectations. We felt incredibly well looked after from start to finish.
We would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend this hotel to families looking for a memorable, relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting.
Really good hotel, with beautiful beach. Good food Enjoyed entertainment activities . Evening program was fun. Great stuff We are happy that we choose Kefaluka Resort
I actually do not know Where to begin with this hotel it’s awful and not as described. This is nowhere near a 5 star not even a 4 star hotel. I have never come across such horrendous service, uncooked food, dirty rooms, flies and insects all over the place. The staff speak no English whatsoever , when we complained to the staff at reception there is no sign of any responsibility or concern. This place should be completely demolished and rebuilt with appropriate training given on how to run an establishment properly and efficiently.
The hotel was mis-sold to us and is over priced, in need of modernisation. The rooms have insects and dirty linen. The staff are poorly trained and nobody speaks English. The food is absolutely terrible to say the least for all inclusive as is the entertainment. Overall our whole experience and trip was ruined. Please avoid and do not waste your money on this place you will be disappointed.
Amazing location, services, food, customer service ! Our second time here and i will come again. Highly recommended! Kefaluka is like a dream.
