Don't waste your money. What an absolute shambles of a hotel. Full of lager louts who kickoff Food was awful and just about Luke warm, yes we complained and we're told that there was a microwave available to use which was so dirty inside I would be ashamed to throw out for the bin men.
Entertainment 😂 Non existent- in the 9 days we were present, we witnessed bingo twice which was extremely expensive to purchase and karaoke once which was dreadful
We dined out every evening due to food being so poor. Taxi to town and back everyday as no where me near pubs/restaurants as advertised
We got speaking to a couple who advised that their top floor room completely flooded one evening after a spurt of heavy rain and they never even received an apology and had to demand to be moved rooms.
Pool is absolutely freezing if you dare to try and practically gives you cold water shock each time you dare to have a dip
Cleaners were friendly and reception staff tried their best, however on the evening we arrived which was around midnight, we were told everything is closed and we weren't offered any type of food or drink at all after travelling all day!
Would I return? Not a chance haha and we spoke to some people who go year after year? Really?????
Our Honest review is we thought the hotel was decent staff was really lovely would definitely go again. food wasn’t the best but we went out to eat most nights so it didn’t really bother us too much. We didn’t spend to much time in the hotel rooms only when we went to sleep went out most of the day. Bathroom could do we a deep clean but rest of hotel room was clean. Ideal place for family. Great atmosphere and great value .
⭐ 1/5 – ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. ADVERTISED AS A 4-STAR HOTEL – DO NOT BOOK.
This hotel is advertised as a 4-STAR HOTEL, which makes what we experienced even more unbelievable. I genuinely cannot understand how the hotel we stayed in can be presented to customers as 4-star accommodation.
Interestingly, there is a sign displayed at the hotel stating that it was last rated in 2016. That was TEN YEARS AGO. Judging by the condition of the hotel today, I think that speaks volumes.
This is genuinely one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. What we arrived at was NOTHING like what was advertised, and if we had been shown an accurate representation of this hotel and its facilities, we would NEVER have booked it.
Firstly, the hotel advertised a GYM – THERE IS NO GYM. Having a gym was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel and we would not have booked it without one.
There is also NO Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The only places we could access Wi-Fi were around reception and by the pool. For somewhere being advertised as a 4-star hotel, I find this ridiculous.
The condition of the hotel is appalling. It is run-down, dirty, badly maintained and in desperate need of renovation.
Our first room was so bad that we had to be moved. Half of the room looked unfinished, the TV was practically falling off the wall, there was NO shower curtain, we saw EXPOSED WIRES IN THE BATHROOM, windows were boarded up and the balcony was completely open for people to walk past.
The cleanliness was disgusting. There was HAIR ALL OVER THE BED and STAINS ON THE SHEETS. Around the hotel we saw cat poo and weeds everywhere. The whole place felt neglected and uncared for.
Then, to top everything off, ON OUR LAST NIGHT THERE WAS ZERO HOT WATER. After everything else we had already put up with during this holiday, we couldn’t even have a hot shower on our final night.
The food situation was honestly horrendous. The food was often barely warm, incredibly dry and completely unappetising. There is ONE microwave provided for guests to heat their food up. I haven’t paid to stay at an advertised 4-star hotel to microwave food that is already overly dry. And who wants to put chips in a microwave and turn them into a soggy mess?
What concerned me even more was what I personally witnessed around the food. I saw members of staff eating while also handling food. I saw food being touched with bare hands, without gloves, and staff handling food without hair nets. It was extremely off-putting to witness.
What made the food situation even more unbelievable was the hotel’s social media. While we were actually staying there and seeing the food with our own eyes, the hotel was posting images of food to its social media stories that appeared to be AI-generated. The food being shown online was not even a close representation of the food we were actually being served at the hotel.
Seeing these glossy, unrealistic images being posted while we were physically there looking at the real food in front of us was honestly unbelievable. If you are going to advertise your hotel using pictures of food, why not show potential customers what you are ACTUALLY serving?
There are NO LIFTS.
There was NO ENTERTAINMENT.
The pool is tiny compared with what we expected.
The hotel is completely out of the way from everything.
The attitude of the staff made the experience even worse. Reception staff were rude and unhelpful. We had members of staff push in front of us while we were getting food, and NOT ONE member of staff greeted us when passing us around the hotel. No hello, no good morning, nothing. There was absolutely no sense of hospitality or making guests feel welcome.
And it wasn’t just us. Throughout our stay we heard so many other guests complaining about the hotel and their experiences. When you are hearing complaints from other holidaymakers around you, you quickly realise you are not the only people experiencing problems.
I have also read responses to previous negative reviews where the hotel appears to try to justify or explain complaints away. So to be very clear: this review is based on what WE personally experienced and witnessed during our stay. I’m not interested in excuses or attempts to justify it after the event.
This isn’t us expecting five-star luxury or being overly picky. YOU ARE ADVERTISING THIS AS A 4-STAR HOTEL. Expecting a clean room, clean bedding, hot water, maintained facilities, acceptable food, basic hospitality, usable Wi-Fi and the facilities advertised when we booked is hardly unreasonable.
The difference between what was advertised online and what we actually experienced was unbelievable – right down to the pictures of food being posted on social media while we were staying there.
If you are considering booking Sunshine Holiday Resort based on its advertised 4-star rating, facilities, photographs or social media, PLEASE THINK VERY CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU DO.

Absolutely horrendous experience. I would NEVER return and I certainly would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
We arrived late last Thursday at arpund half 12 1 ish after a slight delay in the flight. got warmly welcomed by hotel staff and reception where we were checked in very quickly. we then got shown to our room. top floor room and we had a great time. we had a balcony however when it rained due to the balcony door not locking we did have a small amount of water come through and a little bit though the walls which when mentioned to reception they did offer a room change but decided to stay where we were due to having a wifi connection and we were already unpacked. Food: food was overall quite nice abd impressive. had a few meals where me and my partner didnt eat alot however with yhe snack bar open till 4 we tended to go for that a couple of times. food however was cold even if you got to the restaurant for when it opened we found we were always putting food in the microwave. overall food was pretty good just could've been slightly better. Spa: the spa was honestly amazing. they managed to fit us in right before we left to come home and honestly what a relaxing experience couldnt of asked for anything better thank you to the spa team!! Entertainment: GARFIELD was absolutely amazing. honestly what a guy he was we have no words to describe him just what a kind hearted man. he generally made the whole experience so much better. however there wasnt alot going on at all. we played bingo twice did one quiz night and a disco which while it was on it was fun but before and after we were so bored and nearly falling asleep. the location of the resort was absolutely gorgeous we loved every second of it and cleanliness of the whole resort was impeccable couldnt have argued with how clean the place was. atmosphere overall was spot on everyone was lovely amd just enjoying themselved and some.of the people we met out there im hoping yo meet again. noise levels was next to none even whek we went up for an early night you couldnt hear the bar and we were right outside. overall with what we paid for the whole week we couldnt be happier with any of it just again a few bits that could be changed very easily but overall so so happy thank you so much
overall a good holiday! BAD POINTS. arrived at 9:30am no room access until 2pm, we wasnt aware of this before. no change or shower facilities to wash and change after travelling. very little entertainment (possibly because coming to end of season) pool table or games machine would have made it better when no entertainment on. we stayed 2 weeks and only shows on then maybe bingo or karaoke. rooms have very little storage space, travelling with 2 teenagers with nowhere to store makeup etc. tv was very small, no english chanels (although we wasnt bothered really but we had storms where we was stook inside all day 3 times. food is repetetive, seems to be the same all over turkey though. bit far out from shops/supermarkets but we didnt do our research and enjoyed the walks. we had 3 thunderstorms in the 2 week, everyone was sat in the bar with literally nothing to do but talk there wasnt music on no atmosphere, would have been better to have a bit of background music in the bar. GOOD POINTS. every one of the staff very friendly and made time to talk to you, from bar staff to the restraunt staff, the shop keeper, the cleaners. garfield the entertainer did his best to help in every way he could throuhout our stay, with directions or anything we needed help with. we managed to all eat something every day and with a fussy teenager its not always the case. for a budget 3* hotel we couldnt fault it, we didnt excpect 5* and was pleased with what we got. pool area was cleaned every night, never had to get up early for beds we always had room at the pool. beach party was brilliant, garfield arranged to take everyone and made sure everyone got back, we had a great day. played bingo a few nights prizes were good not like cheap tat (i didnt win) room was cleaned every day if we wanted it, cleaners came and if we said we was ok today they offered fresh towels and water for the fridge. beds changed every 2 days. we had 2 lovely lady cleaners in our block and they always stopped for a chat and asked how we was and if we needed anything. WOULD I STAY HERE AGAIN???? absolutley, for the price i paid for our stay we all had a lovely stay and didnt have any issues while staying there.
