Idas hotel is located in the center of Icmeler just 350 mt. far from the beach and 10 km to Marmaris but as much close to all entertainment and shopping areas in Icmeler Region which has known as Aegean Riviera by 5 minutes walk. Transportation is rather easy may find a dolmus (shuttle) in each 10 minutes or taxi right away at Hotels gate, take less than 15 min. to reach the heart of Marmaris. Idas Hotel is compact modern building, fully renovated in 2015 adobted to 4 stars quality with 5 floors has an adult & children section swimming pool on a large terrace at front side including a cozy pool bar recently furnished. Indoor & outdoor restaurants are even situated nearby the swimming pool big enough to provide the comfort of our guests at meal times. Holiday far from troubles in splendid Icmeler with amazing views and beaches. A long term remarkable memories to refer your buddies.

My sixth visit. A bit disappointing in some areas. Staff..some do not speak Turkish or English. ...some on their phones whilst on duty. Some never smile and seem unfriendly. Housekeeping...not up to scratch. Not as thorough as it has been in past years. Some visitors complain about the food but there is a wide choice and I always find something I like. Otherwise, the senior staff are lovely, helpful, friendly. The jeweller is honest and has a lovely range of pieces in gold and silver you would not find elsewhere. He will also clean your older jewellery for a small charge. The day reception manager is amazing too and will go the extra mile. The pool is now heated and a good size. I travel alone and I feel safe and looked after when I visit. Adults only is definite plus. Keep an eye out. There are changes afoot...possibly children 13+ next year and meals will possibly be taken in the large sister family hotel across the road. The hotel is well located in the centre of town, close to bars, cafes, restaurants and markets. The shopkeepers love the Brits and you can get some amazing bargains.
After arriving from a long journey at around 01.30, was not offered a drink or a sandwich but there was bottled water in the room. The inside of the hotel looks clean and modern but we encountered a number of issues during our 7-night stay.
The Room. (1418)
Pros. Comfy bed and pillows - might be hard for some though. No charge for safe (£20 key refund on check out). Small fridge and kettle in room. A/C in room (no extra charge) but..............
Cons. A/C didn't cool room down, so of little use. Nice shower enclosure but water flow strangely stops (completely) for around 20 seconds before returning at a very hot temperature. Strange. Lighting very poor especially in the bathroom. No extract fan in bathroom. Passenger lift constantly breaking down (on our floor) meaning many hikes up and down the stairs. On check out we had to carry our suitcases down to the 3rd floor to catch the lift. On our 5th day my 2 blister packs of BP medicine "went missing" from the bedside cabinet after the room maids had visited. This was reported to Hotel Management and EasyJet. As I needed them, I had to trawl around the local chemists to buy alternatives - they were not found.
The Pool area. The pool itself was clean but strangely warm - unusual in Turkey. No cushions available for the very hard plastic sun beds, so very uncomfortable. Very cramped area and difficult to walk to the bar to get a drink as the sun beds were close to the edge of the pool. Not much choice of all-inclusive drinks and no house cocktails. Also, one day the resident tabby cat did a rather large wee in my leather sandals, which peed me off also. Main issue was most of the staff behind the (only) bar, miserable - bordering on being just plain rude. One time, I approached the bar and the guy had his mobile glued to his left ear, he stood behind the bar and just nodded at me and I nodded back, he was not gonna put that phone down - I had to shout my order at him. He wouldn't have lasted at any other Hotel in Turkey, I'm sure. The exception to this was Barat who was very pleasant.
The Restaurant. Food very repetitive, chicken curry and rice every night. There was a few choices but after 7 nights, it was difficult to find something appetising. Breakfast toaster, either bread came out underdone or burnt. We had issues daily with the supply of plain white loaves, having to ask constantly for more loaves to be brought out - why? Also, the egg man often went walkabout, so no fried eggs or omlettes until he returned. As stated before in a review the small cake had a mouldy flavour. There was a good choice of fresh fruit though. It seems many guests were choosing to eat out - as we did a few times, but that defeats the idea of going all-inclusive. Again, the staff seemed so miserable - the exception to this being Mette who was always happy and professional.
We have been coming to Icmeler for many years and have stayed up to 90 days at a time here, so I know that the (mostly) miserable staff are not the norm. We normally stay self-catering but as we were only here for a week we thought we would give All Inclusive a try. Definitely self-catering next time in Icmeler for us.
Very nice hotel and staff. Food and room are very good. I recommend this hotel for everyone who wants to relax.
Do you know what…it was pretty good. Was it perfect no but the good far outweighed the not so good. We had a two be apart which was lovely and clean and modern. Mattress and pillows are a bit firm yes but better than old and lumpy. There was a bit of a waft of drains at times from the bathroom but likely due to people blocking the pipes with toilet roll! Food was ok. Defo had something to eat which was decent every meal but could’ve been a bit hotter. A choice of perhaps 4 ‘main’ dishes a night. Drinks were pretty good. Not a huge selection but again plenty enough. Entertainment team (in the sister hotel ) work hard all day and night and we saw the manager join in a couple times during our week. A shame it wasn’t more as he was very funny but didn’t join in the actual daily events just mic work for bingo really. Position is great very very real but nice a quiet at night. Pool at this hotel (adult only) is very chilled and quiet but small. Sunbeds at both hotels go very quickly each day and the days we had by the pool I went down to enjoy the cooler air and every bed had a towel on it by 9am. I would stay here again.
