We had a wonderful fortnight at the Okra Lotus. The all inclusive really felt all inclusive and there was a nice variety of food and drinks at all times of the day. The facilities were great and our room was gorgeous.
The staff were all incredibly helpful; we were so grateful to all of the animation team, who our daughter adored. Kids Club was something she enjoyed so much, so thank you Imam, Leah, Sena, Pelin, and Nadia!
We enjoyed a few local excursions - the beaches near by and boat trips are a great way to really enjoy the dramatic landscape.
We hope to come back for another visit :)
Having never really felt the need to write reviews in a negative way, i felt i oight to give an honest review of the stay so far.
We are currently staying at the hotel. Checked in on the 21st August 2026 for 10 nights 2 adults 18 year old daughter and her boyfriend.
Arrived late and checkin was fine. Lovely bellboy, drove us to the room in a golf cart. 1 minute from reception. Room was nice until bedtime and then we were on top and next to the nightclub....sea view was through a large tree. Called reception and was told music would stop at 12!
1.30am the boom boom music stopped. At which point I wanted to go home!
Next day the bell boy remembered us as we asked to change room. Said was worst rooms to be in and block. Reception lady tried to convince us that it was only the following night that the music finished at 4am, then nothing for a week....which after research we knew was a lie. We obviously said not good enough so insisted we were moved. Luckily we were moved to the other end of the hotel. Which was quiet. Don't get me wrong, we love a nice night out, but like to be able to sleep after it.
Clientele is little to be desired unfortunately. Again, do your research as we did not think to.
The adult only pool is full of children a lot of the time and no one respects this is an over 16s pool. This was reported to reception and they promised to monitor. Not seen anyone so far, even after them asking to monitor on a whats app group chat.
Never have we travelled somewhere when we have met more rude and ignorant guests. Even a member of the hotel commented an them being so rude. And as a family, we have travelled wide and far. Again do your research.
Food is adequate, lots of stews.... some bits ok, others not. Lunch is ok, although very hectic. Puddings look amazing but are pretty horrible tasting.
Staff have been very friendly though, lots of entertainment for kids....although we have not got any in our party, which leads us to the argument of the adult/quiet pool. But pool area is very noisy when lunch is served and again lack of seating.
Restaurants are boiling as very little air con....apart from main one, so All others are empty, again a shame as we wanted to book, but just sooooo hot. Rooms all cool temp wise when air con is on and furnished well, mini bar restocked when you want.
Beach is very narrow and unless you get out at 6am, will not get a sunbed. Pool, you are pushed to find anything not reserved past 7.30am. So sadly, against all morals, we had to do the same as first 2 days we had no where to sit.
Marmaris town is not very attractive at all after venturing there last night and All beachfront bars there close at 12am and police patrol dead on the hour to make sure music is off.
Icmeler is much nicer and will venture there again as hotel entertainment is not great.
Overall, would we come back. Definitely not. Is it a 5 star. Definitely not.....Far from it! Have we enjoyed being with other guests...absolutely not.
Make sure you do your research before you book as its not cheap and not worth the money in our opinion and thats coming from a family in the travel business.
We have booked some trips online to do to get away from the hotel, which again defeats the object of all inclusive as hubby and I said it will be a long 7 days to go otherwise. Maybe the experience is better if you have small children. Next we will go back to adult only!
A place ticked off our list and thats as far as it will go.π
Very cozu place for family and friends . Perfect sea and fantastic view from hotel. Very friendly and helpful personal. Good restaurants and beach clubs around the hotel.
I canβt understand the bad reviews. I have a family room with a double bed and 2 single beds, room is massive with a massive balcony. 2 sun loungers on the balcony along with a table and 3 chairs.
No problems getting a sun bed, weβve been using the pool near the kids small pool. Really quiet around that area.
Food has been lovely, breakfast lunch and evening meal with loads of choice. Drinks are also lovely with lots of choice.
Beach is stunning, again lots of sun beds.
Staff have been really friendly.
Weβve walked into icmeler most evenings after our evening meal. Itβs around. 15 minute walk, itβs a lovely walk along the beach.
Overall I would come back to this hotel. We havenβt had any issues and I just donβt understand the bad reviews at all!
The staff is very nice especially the people at the bar in the reception especially Merve
