Asda Maris Hotel

I have literally just left and heading to the airport and already looking at booking up to come back.

I came myself with my 7 year old son and we were both made to feel like family. The team can’t do enough for you, massive shoutout to Ollie, what a guy!

I was sceptical given what I paid for the holiday but absolutely no need. Rooms were cleaned daily, pool was great (my son was never out it or off the slide) and food is amazing!!

Perfect location for heading anywhere in marmaris and taxi rank a 2 minute walk away.

Cant wait too come back.

We stayed at Asdamaris Hotel in Marmaris in June/July 2026 as TUI customers.

During our stay, we were contacted by a man called Erhan Altuğ whom we genuinely understood to be our TUI resort representative. He contacted us at our hotel room using the hotels phone, met us there and had official TUI-branded books and materials with him. He was also operating from a TUI-branded area and told us that he had worked with TUI for approximately 17 years.

Based on everything we saw and were told, we had every reason to believe that Erhan was acting in an official capacity connected with TUI.

We raised concerns with him about the standard of our accommodation at Asdamaris as this is a 2 -3 star hotel which had been sold to us as a 4 star hotel. Erhan acknowledged the problem and arranged for us to move to Green Nature Diamond Hotel. We were asked to pay for the replacement accommodation on the clear understanding that the money would be refunded to us due to this being a TUI error.

Erhan also arranged excursions for us during the holiday.

After returning to the UK, we were expecting approximately £2,200 to be returned to us in relation to the hotel arrangements and other outstanding refunds.

We were later told that a bank transfer had been made and were provided with information relating to the supposed transfer. However, the money never arrived & the documents appear to be fake - there is a similar story about Erhan earlier this year at Orka Lotus Beach Hotel .

Over the following weeks, Erhan repeatedly assured us that the money would be returned and gave us various explanations for the delay.

At one stage, he sent us a message apologising, saying that he was trying to gather the money with help from his family and asking us to give him one final day to repay it.

Despite numerous promises and many opportunities to resolve the matter, the money remains outstanding.

We are now raiseing this matter formally with TUI and the police & providing them with the relevant messages, payment evidence, documents and other information so that they can investigate Erhan's status, his involvement with our holiday and the circumstances surrounding the promised refund.

We are leaving this review to document our own first-hand experience and to make other travellers aware of what happened to us within Asdamaris hotel.

If you are dealing with any resort representative regarding hotel changes, excursions, additional payments or refunds, we would strongly recommend confirming everything directly with your tour operator and keeping copies of all messages, receipts and transfer documents.

We sincerely hope this matter is fully investigated and that the outstanding money is returned.

We coming first time the this hotel we love Asda Maris room is every days cleaning fresh towels all time morning breakfast very good 10 days stay here so much funny we enjoying with my love soo bar stafff jj alie is good person dj olly amazing man all time care about us every days funny smiles thank u so much my holiday soo good good vibe the Asda Maris we come again next year’s ve soo bad feeling today last days we goo home but we don’t wanted 😢😇🩷🌺
