The hotel enjoys a superb location surrounded by pine forests, overlooking the Bay of Marmaris. The resort of Icmeler is approximately 2 km away while its bigger sister, Marmaris, is 6 km away. Both are easily reached by public transport which runs from the main road in front of the hotel. Marmaris Castle and marina is some 5 km away. Rhodes is accessible by ferry in some 45 minutes. The hotel is set in large, pine tree forest grounds and has its own sandy beach and pier. The accommodation consists of a main building and villa-style blocks in the gardens. Guests have access to many wonderful amenities, including the Arcadia Spa, a 330m long private beach, sun-bathing platforms and lush gardens with opportunities to stretch out on a hammock under the trees. (Some facilities may not be open year round due to weather seasonal conditions).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This was our third visit, while it was my parents’ first time staying here, and we all absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and, in our opinion, even better than on our previous visits.
The cleanliness throughout the resort was outstanding. As a former Housekeeping Manager, I pay close attention to these details, and I can honestly say the resort is exceptionally well-maintained, especially considering its size.
One thing that really stood out was how safe and secure we felt throughout our stay. Whether relaxing around the resort or exploring the local area, we always felt comfortable and at ease, which made the holiday even more enjoyable.
The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. We also enjoyed the lovely boat trip, which was a real highlight of our holiday and a wonderful way to experience the beautiful surroundings.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and created some wonderful family memories. We will definitely be returning in the future! 1853 ❤️
What an amazing beautiful hotel and amazing staff as well. Good choice for buffet. The rooms were also very nice and were very clean. and the staff at the Turkish restaurant were very good. I would especially like to recognise Yaren, who was absolutely wonderful throughout our stay. She is such a kind, warm and genuinely caring person, and she always made us feel welcome. Yaren went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, and her positive attitude and professionalism really stood out. She was always friendly, attentive and happy to help, and you could tell that she genuinely takes pride in her work. Employees like Yaren make a real difference and so much more of a positive experience to a hotel.
We have just returned from a fantastic week at the Grand Yazici Turban. We were a family of 7, and it was our first time at the hotel, none of us were ready to leave at the end of the week, which isn’t always the case on an all-inclusive holiday.
The rooms were a great size and very clean, yes a little dated but clean. The beds were a bit hard and we had to ask for top sheets, which were delivered straight away, but they were fine, clean and served a purpose.
The food choice was very good; we ate at the Turkish a la carte for my birthday and the Steak house for my grandson’s birthday and son and daughter-in-laws wedding anniversary. Whilst both were very good, the Turkish was by far the standout of the two for us. The staff at both were excellent.
The option to eat lunch in the food court, steak house and the Italian restaurant was a bonus and gave a great choice of options. The view from the Italian was beautiful.
The buffet restaurant had a lot of choice, but we did find it to be very busy in the evening if not down within about half an hour or so of it opening. I did find it a little strange that there was no maître d to greet you or a specific waiter to show you to a table (as we have had in other parts of Turkey and elsewhere) but that said we have no complaints about any of the food we had.
The all-day ice cream van was a great addition, especially for our 3-year-old granddaughter who made full use of it each day. We also made good use of the coffee house each afternoon before heading up to the room to get ready for dinner, the coffees were very good.
The grounds were a standout for us. They were beautifully kept and there was plenty of areas to sit or explore. Being surrounded by pine trees gave plenty of areas of shade which was a God send in the heat.
If I was to give one criticism it would be the one all over depth of the pools (1.5m). Whilst it didn’t detract from the enjoyment of the holiday, especially for the children, as someone who is not very tall or confident in the water, I couldn’t go into the main pool or the relax pool. I did make use of the children’s pool though with my granddaughter.
A special thank you to the very nice gentleman on roller skates (apologies for not noting his name) who kept us in drinks around the pool each day (we missed him on his day off and when working in other areas!)
Overall we had a fantastic weeks stay at the Grand Yazici Turban, and whilst we don’t tend to return to the same hotel, we would definitely consider a return to this one.
The most amazing hotel. The staff are extremely helpful. My son had his birthday whilst we were there and they went above and beyond to make sure he had a special day. The hotel and rooms are spotless. The food is the best we have ever had at an all inclusive hotel. Will be coming back again
Brilliant food, great staff can not fault our experience
