I went there with my family in July 2020. Although the hotel was 15-20% full due to Covid1-9, I think they did a great job in terms of service and food quality. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the slides, bowling etc.....
due to corona safety measures. But overall, it was a pleasant stay. The animation team should be more engaged with the new customers, too not just the ones they're familiar with.
The hotel on arrival is impressive. Lobby is beautiful and so are the rooms. However there is a lot of room for improvement here...
The staff really need to learn English - being shrugged at a lot gets frustrating. My 3 year old nephew was poorly - had to get the dr out - and even that was done via google translate! The air con in the rooms is a joke - is controlled by a central hub so you have no control over the temp in your own room.
Restaurant - the quantity and variety is amazing - but the food was never hot! Even when turning up as soon as it opened - and the flies are a serious issue. Beautiful plates of salad - swarming with flies! Out of 20 of us more than half had dodgy belly’s within 2 days - all the kids were poorly, my 16 year old cousin for nearly 5 days.
Room cleanliness also needs to be looked into- I couldn’t use my shower the first day as it was so limescaled it just dripped out. And twice I came back to my room after the pool to discover I had no towels!
Entertainment staff - what did they do? There was 4 of them walking around in their uniforms but there was no forms of entertainment - daytime games that sort of thing. Not what we’re used too. A couple of evening shows were fantastic - the acrobats were the best I’ve ever seen: but they live band that’s on every other night is just terrible. The hotel location leaves you pretty stuck - there isn’t a lot around. We went for a meal out down the Marina and on a boat trip but there isn’t much to see or do down there. Also the shop in the hotel is a joke! He changes his prices as he feels like it - and is rude! But with nothing nearby if you wanted cigarettes or pool toys you were stuck. It’s also the only hotel in turkey I’ve ever been too (and I’ve been 15+times to 6 different resorts) that they can’t bear the sight of a £20. Everything is in euros - the bowling / pool tables, the shop, even the bingo game. The currency exchange at reception is a rip off as well - and that’s if they even have any. We managed to change £20 into lira one day as that was all they had! There was also no consistency, and a lot of people were complaining. Everything says it’s open on jet2s website until end of October - and it isn’t! There was no ice cream until day 8... most of the bars /restaurants were shut. Evening entertainment at the amphitheater meant an uphill trek and up in the lift to the nearest bar for a drink - there’s a bar down there - why isn’t it open?! The hotel even give you a map on arrival - and when we questioned where the cocktail bar was we were shrugged at - it isn’t there - and it also shows 3 piers - there is 1. The beach is horrendous too - isn’t even worth going down too. The last few days they suddenly started serving Smirnoff vodka - Gordon’s gin and Captain Morgan’s rum - where had it been the previous 10? Coincident there was a lot of people in suits suddenly walking around? The last night they also had Diet Coke at last! The hotel could be fantastic - but they definitely need to make some changes.
That was wonderful. All the staff were really nice, I liked it so much. ( barmen) just nice. For family journey, it was very nice...
Animation was also good. In Restaurants the Food was really delicious.guest relation teams is helpful and polite. Pools were also nice. The beach was marvelous. Marvellous service beach facilities Great breakfast. Brilliant in house facilities. Very clean.
Stayed for a week at the end of October. Hotel was nice and clean with spacious rooms. We had a nice sea view which was nice to wake up to every morning...
Good varied food choice everyday only downside to food was that it could have been a little hotter. Staff were friendly and polite. Due to the end of season the hotel was only not even half full which was great as there was no queuing for waterslides or other amenities. Only a couple of downsides was that the aircon was not working therefore rooms were very hot of a night, we did tell reception and were told its centrally controlled? Also daytime snackbar needs to invest in fly covers for food as the flys were buzzing around the bread and salad. Hotel is in a slightly remote location with the small village of Sigacik about 15 minute walk away. All in all a nice hotel.
Just come back from a weeks stay and had a great time the staff are very friendly and tried their best there plenty of food choice and drinks and very clean ,slides and pool area very good and never a problem with sunbeds pool was a bit cold but the time of year
