Pros
Cons
Poor drinks service in the restaurant, we got offered water a couple of times but not consistent. My husband said the coffee was disgusting.
other than the spa and entertainment team, a lot of the other staff were indifferent.
Poor standard in the room with broken items, limescale build up and a lack of cleaning. Nothing in the room was cleaned. We didn’t get our sheets changed once in the week and got fresh towels on our second day and none after that. The towels were mostly stained. I assume there are sometimes toiletries provided but all that was left in one of our bathrooms was a small conditioner and 2 shower caps.
Sheets too small for the bed which kept moving throughout the night. The beds were not comfortable.
The pool area near the slides wasn’t maintained well, lots of weeds and occasionally glasses from the night before.
One small tv for World Cup games, no projector. Charged for any drinks after midnight
Slides opened at 10 and then closed for two hours every day between 12-2pm and then open again until 5pm. During the closures there were no lifeguards on duty
Location isn’t great. Nothing outside the hotel, taxis were about 1200 lira each way which adds up.
I found it a bit boring between dinner and the entertainment starting (around 9.30-10pm as there was no where to go for a walk or anything.
The hotel snack shop and salon are very over priced compare to in Kusadasi centre. Taxis were about 1200 lira each way which adds up.
Overall it was a quick week in the sun but I probably wouldn’t return.
I think a lot of these bad reviews are unfair and give a false representation of the hotel. We have just returned from a lovely stay, we had a standard suite which was absolutely perfect with a master bedroom, large living area and kitchen and toilet. We stayed in the pines- never had any issues with water and 4 of us had lovely warm showers with great pressure every single evening. The staff were all fantastic, they work so so hard and what stood out to us was the cleanliness of the hotel in general. The toilets by the main restaurant were really clean, people by the main pool use these all day and every time I went, the bins had been emptied and cleaned to a high standard. The main restaurant is exceptionally clean, staff are extremely efficient and there was a member of staff cleaning the rims of the food warmers. The food was lovely with plenty of choice. We ate at the snack bar at most lunch times which was amazing- burgers, chicken kebabs, pasta etc. The ice cream was amazing, loved all flavours!
À la carte restaurant- we did the Italian night which we were not impressed with. Very limited choice, my starter was lovely but main course wasn’t very nice and I had to send it back as there was a dead fly in my meal.
The slides were brilliant, we all really enjoyed going on them every day and thought they were a great addition to the hotel.
The beach- this is what we were less impressed with. We did the 1-4pm slot, when we arrived we were not told where to go and just sort of followed the crowd, there is only one side you’re allowed to sit on and we got the feeling that they did not like the all inclusive people and very much attend to the paying customers. The area we could sit at was really dirty, I had to clean the sand area just so my kids could play in it- baby wipes, cigarette packets etc all by our sunbeds. It is a gorgeous beach bar but the all inclusive buffet looked like it had been left out for ages and it was uncovered with flies.
We had photos done by Leo at the hotel who provided us with some gorgeous family photos and we bought an album. He was so attentive and amazing with our 3 and 6 year old- memories we can treasure forever.
Entertainment team- all fantastic and work so hard, they are not pushy if you don’t want to join in either which was nice. Fire show was incredible! We only did the mini disco on the last night as it was 9pm, other times it stayed at 9:30pm which was just too late for our kids.
All staff were so attentive- the bar staff, the lifeguards. Everyone was so friendly and always greeted us with a smile.
Pools- plenty to choose from if you want a more lively atmosphere then stay at the main pool. For a more relaxed family vibe, the oaks pool was lovely and a bar very close- we tended to go here in the afternoons and the little pool was warm in the afternoons which my 3 year old really enjoyed.
The pines pool is very quiet, there are some we didn’t even get chance to see.
We really enjoyed having a 5 minute walk every morning from our room to the restaurant. The surrounding views of the hotel are spectacular.
Luckys club- we ate here one night and got free transport to and from the restaurant. It was my birthday so they had organised a cake to come out with sparklers which was a very nice touch- gorgeous sunset views.
One other point, our room was cleaned once and it was the day before we left which we thought was a bit pointless (we had even left the door hanger on earlier in the week asking for it to be cleaned) we didn’t complain about this as it didn’t bother us too much. When they did clean it, they only left us 2 clean towels when there were 4 of us.
Overall we had a lovely family holiday and would stay again :)
We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in total with our friends and our experience was very mediocre. I shall begin with the negatives we encountered!
To begin with when we entered our room(s) we were very disappointed with the condition of the rooms. The bathrooms were very rundown and the showers/baths were grimy. The taps in our bathroom was very loose. Our friend’s room had a quite substantial amount of mould in the bedroom and the bathroom. Although we reported this to guest relations it had to take a second time reporting for them to send someone out. Also in our friends room the duvet had multiple holes in the sheets. In our bathroom(s) there was no body wash or hand soap available as the dispensers had not been refilled. During our stay we experienced no water on 2 consecutive days. Also for the duration of our stay the water pressure was extremely poor, leading to us having to use our friends bathroom on multiple occasions which we shouldn’t have had to do. We also had trouble with our room key which needed to be re-scanned multiple times.
During our 11 night stay we only had cleaners come and ‘clean’ our room 3 times, considering this is a 4 star-previously 5 star hotel- daily cleaning, in my opinion, should be compulsory. Thus when our rooms were attended we noticed only the bed was made, no hoovering, no mopping..no actual cleaning was done. We had a rather large room with an upstairs leading to a kitchen and a lounge area which we didn’t use during our stay so only the downstairs area needed to be cleaned, but even that wasn’t.
Whilst drinking at the bars in the evening we also had problems with dirty glasses being used for our drinks, multiple occasions where there was lipstick on the glass from past people which is quite disgusting.
We booked the à la carte, the Italian, and we again were very disappointed. The food was very disappointing. For the main courses two of us had chosen the salmon and one came out pink as it should be and one was white and had a very different taste (could have been a different cut but unsure). We also had an issue with stray cats, we appreciated the amount of strays in and around the hotel, however in the restaurant we were quite unhappy as there were multiple cats inside who were begging and at one point a cat actually jumped onto the table which was extremely unhygienic considering it was a stray.
Another issue we had with stray cats was that one in particular wasn’t very pleasant. I reached down to try and move it from underneath the table and the cat actually bit me on the hand. Again the fact that stray cats are inside the restaurant is extremely unhygienic and uncomfortable.
One last negative about our experience was that the Wifi within the hotel is extremely poor. We understand that the hotel is large but each room also had its own wifi and this was still extremely poor.
Regardless there were actually some good positives about the hotel. To begin with we very much enjoyed the company and the entertainment from the animation team, especially Borat. Throughout our stay he was fantastic and extremely friendly, he always made us laugh! The food inside the buffet was also very good, however it was always lukewarm and never very hot.
Overall we were slightly disappointed in our experience especially thus being labelled as a 4 star resort. We most likely wouldn’t return.
This is a good hotel for families or anyone not wanting to leave the complex but from our experience I would not recommend it as it’s too far from the nearest town at a considerable cost to get there. Our room was very disappointing the duvet and cover did not fit the bed nor did the sheets, the aircon in the bedroom did not work very well nor did the toilet, why the toilet was so far away from the bedroom who knows but you had to walk across the sitting room almost to the door surely an en-suite would be better. We told reception a couple of times about the faults they did send a maintenance man he was there a couple of minutes said it was fine but after a couple of flushes it still had the problem we gave up in the end. The seven days we were there we only saw the cleaning staff twice which I think is unacceptable for a 4* hotel. Bathroom smelt damp. Don’t no the use of a kitchen as no crockery or cutlery supplied. Was nice having a washer tho the only up side. The Airer had lost rungs so could not use all of it. Food was lukewarm at best and to be honest wasn’t up to standard we just ate salad and maybe odd main meal. Drinks were either watered down or too much alcohol either way you could barely drink them. Entertainment staff were great but it would of been nice for the volume of the microphone or music could be turned down a bit especially on the evening as it was rather loud. All in all we won’t be going back.
Absolutely wonderful hotel and our second time here.
This is our second stay and we really love the hotel. However, we paid for an upgrade through Love Holidays but received a completely different room. No alternative rooms were offered by the hotel at all, and we had to pay £35 for a late check-out.
Most disappointing is the hotel’s reply to my review today — they claim they gave a complimentary late check-out and offered three other rooms. This is totally untrue. I even asked to pay extra for an upgrade, but the blonde receptionist was rude and unprofessional. We were also promised a call on our last day about the upgrade, which never came.
I am honest and find such lies offensive; it ruins trust, which is a shame.
Useful tip: Go to Migros for your shopping — the small shop on the complex is extremely overpriced.
