Just 45 minutes from the airport, set on an island in over 12 acres of palm trees and vegetation, is the picturesque Adaaran Club Rannalhi four-star resort. Located south of the capital of Male, this unique location is the stuff of dreams. Pristine beaches, azure blue water and cloudless skies. Welcome to paradise in the Maldives.
Sometimes you simply want a holiday in the most stunning of natural surroundings. The amazing resort of Adaaran Club Rannalhi has been created on its own island, enabling its lucky guests to revel in panoramic views of picture-perfect beaches and the bluest sea from all directions.
You're sure to love it here. Yes, it's beautiful – but it's also one of the most relaxing holidays you can have. Everything you need is on hand, service is excellent, and nothing is too much trouble. In such a peaceful holiday destination, it's impossible not to unwind.
Of course, you may not want to spend your entire holiday simply 'chilling out'. Alternatively, there are excellent scuba diving opportunities (and a diving school) here too, if you want to explore the view under the surface. Or you could try your hand at windsurfing perhaps? Facilities at the Adaaran Club Rannalhi include a spa, restaurant, two bars, a souvenir shop and a laundry service. You'll also find there's entertainment laid on too if you fancy a more upbeat evening. Wi-Fi is available for free in the hotel's public areas.
And the accommodation here simply can't be beaten. The chalet style rooms offer comfort and plenty of space to relax. Each has a private living area, full facilities, en-suite and either a terrace or balcony. They're also fully equipped with satellite television, tea/coffee making facilities, safe and telephone. Are you planning a special holiday or feel the need for even more of a treat? If so then there are a number of water bungalows at the Adaaran Club Rannalhi, all of which feature private sundecks – because you'll never really have your fill of those spectacular views. Just check availability when you book.

I stayed at Adaaran Club Rannalhi with spouse and 2-year-old kid, (3 nights in a beach villa, and two nights in water villa) in Dec'19.
Beach villa was substandard, lacked basic amenities, and was way too much overvalued. The room size is too small, the washroom is small, no bathtub...
Don't opt for this as it will be a sheer waste of money.
Water villa was up to expectation and my family had a decent time.
The service was below par (they take pride in not offering room service to folks staying in a beach villa and limited services to water villa accommodation). Even by basic standards of the leisure industry, room service is a must.
I could feel the hostility of their staff in managing basic things like having banana and milk for my kid, I didn't like their attitude. I had to wait for 2-3 hours as I arrived around 10 am for check-in. With my kid traveling, it was tough and folks at reception displayed cold behavior. I could feel that rooms were available and they offered other travelers early check before me. I had to repeatedly ask for the room to be made available as I could see others were being checked in. During the internal transfer from beach villa to a water villa, these folks wanted me to check out, come to reception, wait for 2 hours, and then be checked into the water villa. I asked them politely to facilitate transfer with no hassle and they decline at first. Then I decided to talk straight, hard and they agreed. At last, it was clear that multiple water villas were lying empty and they could have done it on their own.
Few tips for future travelers - 1. Don't opt for beach villa at all, choose other property instead 2. You need to talk straight and hard if they don't listen in the first instance 3. You may also feel a bit of racist behavior from their reception staff in case you are not 'white', be prepared 4. If you are into drinks, there is an option of buying full bottle whiskey or any other hard drink (take it as its value for money)
We were two couples when we visited this property. We had a wonderful stay at the resort. Except for the fact while we were reaching resort from the airport initially we had to wait for the pick up steamer for more than an hour and then our steamer got faulty mid of the way and then we were shifted to a new steamer...
This wasted a lot of time for us and we reached the resort by 6:30 PM, which wasted our half a day.
Listing down my good and bad experiences:
Good: Resort has very good service Food was awesome They assign you individual waiter and he is responsible for you till the end of your trip. Water bottles in the room were free, you just have to call the reception and they will give you bottle. Water was also kept near the common area and you can have that. Snacks and drinks are available if you are on all inclusive package. Resort has excellent beach around and crystal clear water. No other property is very near by and hence the water around is very clean. The rooms were awesome, we stayed in beach cottages as well as water villas. Our water villa had a small glass at the bottom and we can see water from there, but not all villas has that. There are some or the other events going on around every day, it may or may not be too good. We were on full board package but for a day we took all inclusive package at the resort itself and with a very nominal charge.
Bad: None of the rooms we stayed had bath tubs which was not expected. You have to carry your own snorkelling kit.. None of the water sports are complimentary. The beach towels provided to us were not very clean, it may also be due to the fact as it was rainy season when we visited.
Overall we had an awesome stay at the dreamy place. I would always recommend everyone to go there once. I would certainly love to go back there.
Stunning setting Easily accessible by boat Crystal clear safe snorkelling water surrounds the Island. Accomodation is very nice. All inclusive is definitely the way to go, food and drinks were amazing. Staff were very very friendly and not intrusive. Do yourself a favour and go, we will definitely be back
My wife and I spent a week in Maldives for the first time, after some hectic times at our professional lives. Spent couple of evenings comparing the resorts and decided that it should be within a boat trip from the airport. Adaaran Rannalhi fit our budget and had such a nice reviews that we decided to book it...
Went looking for relaxation, warm weather and beautiful surroundings and this was exactly what we found. The boat to the resort is literally leaving 20 meters from the airport terminal so it is just very easy.
After 40 minutes boat trip the check-in was handled quickly and we got the room 125 at the far end of the island. Room was on ground floor (which we wanted) and access to sea was less than 10 meters from our door. The room was good and had all the necessities (air-con, fridge, good shower and bed) This end of the island was quiet in the evenings (went to sleep early thru the whole week) , the main bar near the reception at the other side has live music and not sure how long the play. 4 stars for sleep quality because of the couple above us on the 2nd floor had perhaps too many all inclusive drinks and started to move furniture and argue loudly during one night (this went on maybe good 1-2 hours) - of course just bad luck and not really the resorts fault - but a possible downside of ground floor.
Days passed mostly sunbathing, reading and snorkeling (wonderful clear waters !! got to see black tip and nurse sharks, turtle, tons of colorful fish - I will never forget this) We brought our own finns and masks so didn't need to borrow and were ready to go all the time. I also did 40minutes instructed dive which was ok, but frankly speaking you see much more by snorkeling around the island.
The food was really good and there is something for everyone. vegetarian, grilled, indian, salads, pasta etc.. dessert table also amazing. we had the complete all-inclusive with wines, beer and drinks included and particularly enjoyed sunset drinks in the bar at the far end of the island. This was also the time when nurse sharks arrived and went lying down below the water villa piers.
If you want to charge your batteries in beautiful surroundings, book it - you won't be disappointed. We will probably return.
Wow, what a lovely experience. The island is stunningly beautiful. The accommodation was great, the staff very professional and friendly...
The food was good and the cocktail bars very nicely located with lively entertainment in the evenings. The island is very quiet and offers a lot of privacy. The snorkeling is incredible. Thank you for making our special day memorable. We will be back.
