The picture-perfect resort of Adaaran Select Meedhupparu is a 43-acre oval shaped coral island, covered with thick vegetation and surrounded by a ring of white sand. It has a lagoon ideal for watersports and is close to excellent diving areas. It's the perfect location for a holiday in paradise.
You'll feel a warm welcome from the moment you arrive at the magnificent Adaaran Select Meedhupparu. The beach will feature heavily on this holiday and it's so enduringly beautiful, you'll want to spend so much of your time there simply drinking in the view. If you fancy a little more energetic activity than working on that all-important holiday tan, then you'll find a selection of watersports available to keep you busy. For an underwater buzz, why not take a dive below the surface and explore? Just visit the dive school on site and they'll make sure you have the right equipment and some help if you need it.
You'll feel very comfortable and well-looked after here too. Terraced rooms with partial sea view are air conditioned and all are equipped with a fan, minibar, safe, telephone, satellite television and tea/coffee maker. The best part is that the en suite facilities include indoor and outdoor showers. Taking a cool shower in golden sunshine – or even under a canopy of twinkling stars – has got to be one of the enduring pleasures of a holiday in this beach paradise.
Guests can choose from three individual restaurants, each with their own ambience and menu – and different views too of course. It's pretty hard to beat spending a relaxing evening taking time to savour a delicious meal and perhaps a glass of wine or two, with the waves lapping the beach and the warm breeze gently nudging the palm trees nearby. Just bliss.
Other facilities on site include two bars, weekly entertainment, a small shopping arcade and a laundry service. One thing's for sure – you'll want for nothing at the Adaaran Select Meedhupparu.

We holidayed on the beautiful island of Adaaran Select Meedhupparu for the third time in March 2020 and returned home to the UK just before the lockdown for Covid-19.
The island has now changed to premium all inclusive drinks which was so much better, the villas have been updated to a good standard, there is much better seating in the main bar area which makes it far more comfortable and there is a wide choice of ice creams from which you can select from,( which i found fab).
The first time we visited there was a wonderful Filipino duo that played in the main bar in the evenings which catered for those of us that liked to dance. Unfortunately the entertainment has not been as good since....... that is the only negative.
We would like to thank all the wonderful friendly staff for making it another idyllic holiday...
My husband is disabled with mobility issues and we conveyed our concerns to Chris Ernest ( General Manager) on several issues beforehand by email. On arrival we found that all our issues had been dealt with, eg, a ramp to the front of the villa, grab handles etc. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff are very friendly and helpful but we would especially like to mention the following:- Chris Ernest - General Manager Sabeth - Guest Relations Manager Madu - Guest Relations Angela - Guest Relations Assiri - Bar Manager Janith - Barman in the Halaboli Bar Velluw - Food Reservations Ibraheme - Room Boy These along with all the other staff not mentioned are committed to making your holiday as carefree as possible. Anyone thinking of travelling to this island will not be disappointed from the friendliness of the staff , to the accommodation , the wonderful snorkeling, everything. Hopefully we will be returning next year.
Your holiday starts as you board the seaplane, that you must take to get to this island. Trans Maldivian Airways. A great experience...
After about 45 minute flight, you arrive. The checkin process at the hotel was quick and very welcoming. We stayed in a standard beach villa,we had the most amazing views. The island is stunning, with beautiful flora & fauna and unspoilt. We had a room on the south east side of the island right next to the Albino bar.It was a quiet cocktail bar and the beach area and marine life there was amazing. The staff were very knowledgeable on the food and were really friendly and helpful. The main restaurant had themed nights, the Indian restaurant had a tandoori oven making breads and kebabs to order, the Mediterranean restaurant provided beautiful pasta and fish dishes. The drinks were all premium brands. There are lots of chickens living on the island which for me being a chicken owner was perfect. There are also fruit bats, but they are high in the trees and don't bother you.For snorkellers, the marine life is varied. You don't have to be a swimmer to see the fish as they swim around your feet. The rooms are very practical and you have two showers, one inside and one out. There are 2 cruises included in your holiday.
We visited the Chivana Spa twice during our stay and can fully recommend the Chivana Massage which is two therapists working on you at the same time. Very relaxing! Just to say it was amazing and we shall definitely be returning as soon as we can.
A charming island with friendly staff. None more so than Janith in the Sunset bar who looked after us while being entertained by a lovely duo singing all the oldies. The food was great in all the restaurants and the whole place as clean as a whistle...
Snorkeling in all areas was really eye opening with dozens of different species including turtles small sharks and rays.
Would have loved to stay longer it was so beautiful & relaxing. The clear blue water & white sand not to mention the swim up bar pool & various restaurants to choose from. The staff are so lovely & helpful...
Our room was located on a quite side not far from the overwater rooms. Abundance of food that include daily food themes so you can experience different cultures. We stayed 5 days however I recommend 7 if you can. Snorkel gear available although I took my own mask & snorkel. Additional water sports some require payment - check website out for further details.
Only just realised this review hadn’t uploaded properly; Pool Bar, The poolside bar was Splendid! We had the funny, charismatic and kind barmen named Mische, who made the whole experience unforgettable! He was always so cheerful when making you a lovely refreshing drink and really was awesome. Thanks you Mische for excelling at such an incredible service, you certainly provided the whole resort with great luxuries. The Berry Berry was our family’s favourite mock tail and you made it to perfection!! Thank you so much Mische, from your friends Kester and Louis from England. Hope your family are all well in Sri Lanka
