Best Holiday Ever
Can't help being biased as only stayed at one Maldives resort but omg WHAT a resort! Trolled through SO many youtube videos on Maldives resorts, but there was only going to be ONE choice, Anantara KIhavah. Starting with the seaplane transfer to the resort, looking down on all the islands we passed making out the overwater villas.
On arrrival at the jetty being greeted by the welcome committee and Bodu Beru drum. Our villa host for our stay was Maanu who whisked us away to overwater villa no. 237. The villas are surprisingly large, more than enough space with his and her closet space. The bed is very large not sure if it was a king or superking?! The bathroom has a bed in it! From which it ovelooks the infinity pool. But for me, what sets Anantara Kihavah apart is the size of decking. There are at least 6 lounge/seating areas to choose from by far the favourite being the swinging day bed!! Had to make a beeline for the over water hammock as well. Villa host No.1 Maanu as well as waiting staff all make a point of knowing you as early as possible.
As this was the occasion of my 60th birthday, curtesy of my wife and staff, Anantara pulled out the stops. Spa treatments all the way. However, one sour point rendering the 4 star rating was learning that there is an additional cost to eat at SEA restaurant a fact not stated anywhere, especially if you book half board. Having said that, we wouldn't hesitate to return, as I said to Maurice (General Manager) this is'nt goodbye but see you soon.

Bliss on water
Super Bliss truly. From the moment we landed it was a 5 star experience all the way. Special little touches topped off with pristine waters and excellent food. Lovely kids club with really warm staff and we had a Great personal host too! Highly recommend the dolphin cruise and the observatory experience- very memorable! Amazing water villas, so relaxing
Exceptionally Beautiful
Hands down 10 out of 10! The island is beautiful, the villas are stunning, the food is delicious, and the staff is phenomenal!
We stayed here for 7 days for our honeymoon and fell in love with this place, especially the staff! After the first day, we were greeted by name by everyone we encountered. After the second day, the breakfast crew had remembered our drinks and food orders. Abu, the manager of the breakfast/restaurant crew, was awesome!
We stayed in an overwater sunset villa and it was beautiful! We had a villa host, Ismail, who was the best. He has been working at the resort since it opened 12 years ago so he was very knowledgeable about the resort, island, and the Maldives altogether.

Lifetime experience to have with the family
Everything was as expected, the hotel, the Villa, the workers, the service, the food, the facilities, and definitely the sea 🌊 A lot of choices are recommended such as Ireland guide tour snorkeling 🤿
A beautiful oasis
We first visited Anantara Kihavah on our honeymoon and we recently returned for our 10 year wedding anniversary. It was a trip we had been anticipating for a long time and it did not disappoint! After 10 years, I can say that the resort is still the most beautiful and magical oasis we fell in love with all those years ago.
From the moment we stepped onto the island, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the staff and were quickly taken to our room by our villa host so we could get settled in. Throughout our entire stay, the staff at the resort was fantastic. Our villa host, Zidhan, was very attentive and quick to respond to any requests we had. Our housekeeper, Waheed, not only kept our villa immaculate, but he also made our stay so special by surprising us a few nights with a beautiful drawn bath, rose petals on the bed and he and Zidhan had our villa beautifully decorated after we got back from our anniversary dinner. The staff at the pool, specifically Rooney and Reji, were fantastic. They were very personable and attentive and even surprised us with an ice cream cake on our anniversary. We loved heading to Sky each night for the sunset and the young woman and gentlemen who served us each night were very friendly and attentive. On our actual anniversary, we had a beautiful dinner on the beach and the set up truly looked like something out of a movie. Our server was great and made us feel so special. We cannot wait to return!
