Almost perfect
What can we say? Wonderful. The food is special and the deserts even more. We spent our Christmas and New Year's time here and it was incredible. People at the reception are amazing and supportive for any need. The reef is full of life and you can see eagle rays, turtles and reef sharks swimming under your water villa too. One typical local attraction—which is very appealing but perhaps ill-advised—is the bar's shark feeding activity. People need to be told that, while the staff may know what to feed the sharks (even if doing so isn't actually so good), tourists shouldn't do it—nor should they throw bread or similar items into the water. There ought to be better monitoring and more signage, as there is a lot of ignorance on the subject, and the ecosystem risks being damaged. This is the only reason I give a star less... We care deeply about the wonders of the marine world and believe it is important for those who can to look after it. As for everything else... 5 stars!
Machchafushi non ti scorderemo mai!
I have spent 12 nights with my family in this paradise! From the moment we arrived at Machchafushi, we knew this was going to be a very special holiday. The resort exceeded our expectations in every possible way and delivered one of the most memorable travel experiences we have ever had. The food was simply outstanding throughout our stay. Every meal offered an impressive variety of high-quality dishes, prepared with great care and attention to detail. The culinary experience alone is worth the trip. The house reef is absolutely spectacular. Snorkeling directly from the island gave us the opportunity to discover an incredible underwater world filled with colorful fish, vibrant corals, and unforgettable marine life. It is truly one of the resort's greatest treasures. We were also impressed by the warmth and professionalism of the entire staff. The hospitality is genuine, making every guest feel welcome and cared for from the first day to the last. The level of comfort throughout the resort is excellent, and our room was spacious, beautifully maintained, and the perfect place to relax and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. A very special mention goes to Giuseppe, the pastry chef, who deserves the highest praise. His talent, passion, and dedication are evident in everything he does. Beyond creating exceptional desserts, he coordinates the kitchen activities with remarkable professionalism, energy, and attention to quality. He also is a very kind person who always speaks to people giving advices annd making everyone feeling in full comfort!! He's apecial! Meeting people like Giuseppe makes a real difference in the overall experience. In fact, he is one of the reasons why I would strongly recommend choosing Machchafushi and why I would gladly return. Thank you to everyone at Machchafushi for an unforgettable stay. We left with wonderful memories and cannot wait to come back.

Magical Island with wonderful staff!
We've just had the privilege of spending 14 nights on this magical island. The resort itself is paradise, but what made our holiday truly special was the excellent customer service, and being treated like valued guests. You really had the feeling that the staff wanted you to have a wonderful holiday. The resort feels very well managed from the moment you step foot on the island, to when you leave.
It started with a fascinating water plane journey from Male, and a smooth check-in.
Between our family we had one family overwater villa, and a duplex beach villa. We loved both of them; they felt roomy and bright, with huge bathrooms. The beach area in front of the bungalow was beautiful, and the snorkelling straight off the water villa and onto the reef was fantastic. The housekeepers- Ranjit in the water villa, and Rocky and Rion in the bungalow, worked very hard to keep our rooms clean and well-stocked, with special touches of decorating our rooms with decorations made out of sand and flowers.
We enjoyed our meals in the Reef restaurant. We loved the restaurants Suan Bua and Mare Azzurro. The food in both was delicious, and we found that we had many options to choose from (we were full board plus). Both restaurants have lovely settings. The waiting staff were excellent, and between the restaurants we were well looked after by Mery, Marx, Chris and Yaeesh. However, all waiting staff provided first-rate customer service
We did find at a couple of points in the holiday that the Reef restaurant could have provided a few more options to cater to Western guests such as plainer options for kids ie chips, burgers and nuggets. However, Jasmin made sure that one of our family members in particular was always looked after and was happy with the food.
The icing on the cake of our holiday was having access to The Club. Having a delicious freshly cooked breakfast every morning in The Club, in front of the beach and the palm trees, was a real 'pinch me' moment, as was watching the sunset every evening, with a cocktail. We found it so calm and relaxing, and we were so well looked after by Rishard, who does a wonderful job, supported by the beautiful Maew. The could not have looked after us better, and have left us with wonderful memories, including an amazing five course meal on our least night.
The snorkelling was fantastic and endlessly fascinating. We were also lucky with the weather as obviously it was a bit of a gamble going in the last two weeks of August. It did rain at night, and we had one afternoon and evening, and another separate evening, of rain, which we were very happy with over a 14 night stay. It was a lovely, warm 28-30 ish degrees, even when cloudy.
We feel so fortunate as a family to have had this experience, and we thank all the staff who work so hard to look after their guests.

Best resort with best marine life I have ever visit in Maldives. Truly Thai Hospitality that we could feel while we are away from home. Nice over water villa and best services provided.
