I was in Dhonveli for 2 weeks. I scuba dived every day, with some memorable experiences, particularly with mantas. The dive crew are exemplary. I didn’t surf, but the waves at Pasta Pt were often excellent, and fun to watch. The staff are wonderful, the food amazing and the room very comfortable, with good a/c. Drinks are expensive and it’s a good opportunity to reduce alcohol intake.
The staff is very friendly. They are always asking if everything is okay. They try to make sure you are comfortable. You can always feel the care - not intrusive, but effective and to the point. We recommend taking villas over the water, then you will have more privacy. It is also convenient to take the all package. The bars have a large selection of cocktails and other drinks. Many thanks to Mira, it is great that she speaks our language and explained all the nuances. The beach is good - although it is on one side of the island. But you can swim there both at low tide and at high tide. And the depth is sufficient and there are places with corals and fish. You can also surf on the island - there is an area with good waves. However, you need to book this specially. Sun loungers under umbrellas - which is also convenient. The food is at a good level. The choice is not really big, but sufficient and understandable. There is always a sufficient variety of fruits. A table is assigned to you, which in my opinion is also convenient.
