For an ultimate holiday experience, the Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Maldives is your perfect destination. With a new look and better facilities, we are ready to offer you the wonders of sun, sand and sea in a backdrop of ultimate comfort. Located 145 km from the capital, Male, it takes 45 minutes by seaplane to get to this idyllic 6-acre island paradise. Once you arrive be prepared for memorable times. Surrounded by an azure ocean lagoon replete with the wonders of the underwater world, this is a paradise for diving and snorkelling. Meanwhile, on water sports include windsurfing, sailing and canoeing.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We traveled as a family of four adults and stayed on the smaller more excluded island. Due to mobility issues we requested two beach villas next to each and this was arranged. However, the room allocated to the person with mobility issues, was the most difficult of all 20 rooms on this island to get onto the beach and into the water. The steps down are difficult. Sadly, the description of the room being a beach villa is simply wrong. At low water levels, there is access to the sea bed, but for a lot of our stay the water level was above the fourth step and the splashing made the veranda area unusable. It was a very different experience to most of the other villas which did have a beach and easy access.
That's all the bad out of the way. The rest is outstanding. Staff are remarkable and with an effort to engage, warm respectful relationships were formed, and this added a great deal to our stay. The food choices were remarkable and the chefs just brilliant. Bar service was relaxed and friendly. The room itself was roomy and well equipped. The mini bar was restocked each day with housekeeping seeking to stock it to your liking. Reception staff were brilliant and the buggy drivers incredibly helpful. We used the wellness centre and this was a highlight for all in the party.
The sea life at Cinnamon is tremendous, with sharks, rays and turtles all visible from the beach and walkways. Snorkelling from the beach is brilliant and the daily free snorkelling trips took that up a level. The shark feeding took our breath away.
We will be retuning.
We cannot thank you and the team enough for the warm hospitality, we have really enjoyed being on the island. The room and resort are perfect and the food has been so nice! Everyone has been so kind and helpful, we couldn't not have felt more welcome. This we have loved and I hope we will return again.
Enjoyed a week in paradise. The experience lived up to expectation and more. Resort and experience were wonderful. Staff were accommodating and attentive, a particularly shout out to our waiter Shifaz. Knew we were booked in the wet season and arrived in a storm. The weather, including torrential rain and gales, only added to our experience. Wished booked to stay longer as was a long way for 1 week.
The views were incredible, the room was beautiful and comfortable. We enjoyed the size, disposition and cleanliness. The staff was very pleasant and polite. We had great service from Lammaah, Humaidh and Sadun. There was also a lady at the entrance of the restaurant but we didn't get her name. I wish there were more snack bar options or other restaurants included in the All Inclusive package so that we would be able to eat at different times. That would be the only thing missing from the trip.
This is one of the best experiences I have ever had in my life.
First of all, the snorkelling experiences from the diving centre are incredible. We did a shark and a manta snorkelling. Thanks to the expertise of the coaches, we were able to get close with the sharks and spot a few mantas. One of the highlights goes to bumping into lots of dolphins during our speedboat ride. If Maldives is not a miracle, I don’t know what is. Trust me, you would not want to miss out from those tours. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to our guides, Salt, Adam, and Magic, and other crew members who helped in the tour. Their professionalism and enthusiasm made the trip wholesome. Can you believe that we were able to swim relaxingly next to lots of sharks!? This is because of their work! Once again, thank you everyone from the dive centre.
Secondly, regarding the food and catering, we had a decent buffet every day. The food was somehow repetitive but as a non picky eater, I don’t find it a problem at all. Shout out to the best pancake chef Thara whose banana pancakes were finger licking good and her hospitality was truly commendable. And I would like to take this opportunity to thank Manaia(sorry if I misspelled), who served our table with a big smile every day, making us feel welcomed and warm.
Last but not least, if I were to give you some tips, please do bring water-shoes as the water ground is somewhat rocky and spiky and apply sunscreen to all parts of your skin. Don’t underestimate the UV. I got rashes all over my body from sunbathing for an hour. It was itchy and you would not want to experience that. Good luck to your trip, Cheerio!
