Emerald Maldives Resort and Spa

First of all greetings to amazing staff at the resort who made our vacation special the General Manager, Mr. Rohit, the FB Manager, KD, our amazing butler SID and Deisy and her team from spa. About the resort : it has various types of villa, beach villa, beach family with two rooms, we usually take water villa because we love it the most. This season we took water villa with the pool and water villa with jacuzzi ( there are only two villas with jacuzzi). Last year we enjoyed so much villa with pool but to our surprise this time jacuzzi was an absolute cherry on a cake when the weather was cloudy. It is warm and relaxing. SPA. We had various types of massages, and the Balinese and signature massage was our top preference. We took over an hour session and didn’t want it to stop. Masseuses know their job so well, that you’ll remember their massage long after you leave the island. We didn’t like however Ayurveda oil dripping massage, but lucky to have this as an experience. This season there is a Mr. Bridge on site, the guy is a pro on yoga and body and breath relaxation. We have not tried it either. But nice to see that hotel puts various options every year. GYM/PADDLE/TENNIS gym is clean and well equipped for basic exercises. Equipment is Technogym. You can hook paddle or tennis track Ning with coach or book a court to play as a couple. Grate facilities. FOOD. Simply amazingly in all the restaurants. Our preferred one was Aqua and GRILL BAR on the beach. Always fresh food and big variety of food and drinks. Sommelier Daniel can recommend you good wine for the dinner and all the selection of wines are incredible considering the AI package. Asiatique restaurant is nice for a change, and you can book teppanyaki for a dinner, although the show is not as bright as we saw somewhere else, but the food is good, and you can purchase extra to your already set menu , like lobster or oyster.
Amazonico is more of a Mexican style and is another good choice to change the usual buffet dinner at aqua and reserve a romantic table with n Amazonico. GALLA DINNER- you cannot miss this. Grilled lobster, local fish, Chinese, Italian cuisine, all at one place under the stars. Beautiful arrangement! For a special occasion you might ask for a dinner table on the beach, they set it out on sunset 🌅 in front of aqua restaurant and a list of special menu. It was magical night! DIVING CENTER. This year we were lucky for Giovanni to be our guide for snorkeling. We saw various fishes and two or three turtles. The snorkeling trip was amazing. BAR. every now and then there is a life music at the bar, it is rather relaxing then a disco type evenings. DJ nights are also available. We got lucky to see a night of native Maldivian dancers and singers. Nothing like this we saw before. A little dive into a local culture. There is a post box in the bar with the post cards. You can write a post card to your future self and the staff will send it to you. From our previous visits, the card always reached our home after about 6-8 months after vacation. And it is beautiful to go back to memories by readying this post card with the hotel picture in it and go back into memories.. that’s how we keep booking same resort almost every year lol RECEPTION. Here you can change your currency into dollars and therefore have some money for tips should you feel to thank waiters or housekeepers for their extraordinary work. Our room was taken care by Kamzul, always clean when we were away, without disturbance. On our birthday the room was specially decorated with flowers , what a treat!!! Thank you so much. RESORT APP. Our dear butler SID arranged everything for us before our arrival, but having this application helps a lot control what you have on a schedule, as once you step on the island you are lost in time ☺️ We thank once again EMERALDS RESORT AND SPA MALDIVES for this wonderful stay. It was our 4th time and we dream of coming back next year.

We are repeaters at this hotel because we love it. Everything is perfect. Restaurants, rooms, whole island. But the best is staff. Especially our villa host Jasmine. She is not only our villa host but she is our friend. She always tries to make our vacation unforgettable. Everything we need or want she tries to help us. The staff at the restaurants is very friendly. Generally everything is amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
