Budget and disappointing for some key reasons

Review by HerbyMcfly Staffordshire, United Kingdom

Food 2 Star max. Rooms are dated but large. Open shower a nice touch and bathrooms seem to have been renovated...

Staff are excellent.

Stayed in cabin 212 and it has a fabulous outlook.

All inclusive does not include the beach bar which is ridiculous. You have to have Ai Platinum.

Snacks in between sittings are terrible, just recycled bits from lunch or dinner.

Our transfer back to Male was at 3pm even though our flight was 11pm. Total joke..lost half a day and a meal.

All in all a budget location and I'm sure there's much better places than this even if the location is spectacular

Excellent value for money

This was our 7th trip to the Maldives, we always try a different island, looking for the best reef and the beach, not 5* luxury or motorised water sports, you don’t need 5* when the island is like paradise, we prefer the ‘No shoes no news’ type of island. This was probably the most basic island we have stayed in, which is reflected in the price, you get what you pay for. The rooms are clean but basic and could do with a facelift, some are worse than others and we did change rooms with no hassle at all, we had room 225 which was just by the beach bar, it was perfect for access to beach and not too far to the restaurant and main bar...

I would ask for the room again if we ever returned. Everyone requests room 218 because of previous reviews but anything from 226 to 210 is good. Rooms at the other end of the island have no light, they are far more dated and have very little beach. The open air bathroom is fab, showering while looking at the blue sky is pretty cool. We loved the food, it was always fresh, hot and a good choice, desserts were gorgeous. The chefs are always out checking the food and happy to talk if you wanted anything. The reef is really good here which made the snorkelling amazing, we snorkelled with the turtle everyday, sharks, rays and an abundance of other sea life. All the staff throughout the hotel are fabulous, can’t do enough for you. We went with an open mind because it was the least we had ever paid to go to the Maldives, the food, staff, beach, snorkelling are all excellent the only reason it’s cheap are the rooms are basic and dated. The only thing we couldn’t really understand is why the beach bar wouldn’t offer at least a limited drinks menu on the all inclusive, you have to pay for everything at that bar, it’s not too expensive and they make a fab cosmopolitan, but maybe a cold beer or soft drinks could be included. We met quite a few people who had not been to the Maldives before but were attracted in by the price and they all said would def go again, so there you go that says it all really.

Stunning Paradise

Review by 635marcyh Lee's Summit, Missouri

We stayed 8 days at the end of June on at the Eriyadu Island Resort and the island itself is very small, quiet, private. Most days, we had the whole beach to ourselves. The water is incredibly clear and the reef is very close...

We snorkeled every day just off the island and saw beautiful fish, turtles and nurse sharks. A black tip shark swam at my ankles each morning. It was a dream!! There is one restaurant with buffet style food but delicious. The staff is very kind and helpful. The rooms are pretty bare but sufficient, good A/C, beds are on the firm side. Nice porches steps to the white sand beaches. The pool is very nice, stunning sunrises and sunsets. Onsite dive shop. We traveled 40 hours to stay here and fell in love with with this island. *IF you are looking for high end Luxury, this is not your place. If you are looking for beautiful surroundings and a clean, relaxing island, Book it!

beautiful & relaxating

Review by yarismamercedes Miami, Florida

Beautiful Resort with sunset and sunrise view. Make sure to bring insect spray, and water floats to relax on the beach. They didn't have much excursions, but they do have fun water sports activities and yachts that take you out of the island...
