Situated in Baa Atoll, ‘Finolhu’ means ‘sandbank’ in local Maldivian, which is inspired by its beautiful 2km long powder sand beach which spreads across four islands. Guests will arrive in paradise within a 30 minute seaplane from the airport, or 20 minutes by domestic flight.
As well as being particularly peaceful and tranquil, it is also well-equipped with facilities to help enhance your stay. With 125 private villas, four restaurants, spa & health centre, and an array of activities including water sports, excursions, and diving - the Finolhu is the perfect choice for an unforgettable holiday.
All villas are air conditioned and have an ensuite bathroom, TV, minibar and telephone. For a supplement you can upgrade to a Beach Villa, or even a villa that comes with your very own private pool!
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

The Island:The long sandbank and turquoise lagoon make the island truly magical. It is intimate enough to easily walk to every outlet, yet spacious enough for a 2–3 km run along the sandbank. The design across all villas and restaurants is thoughtful and well planned.
Food & Beverage: The breakfast spread is amazing, featuring a wide variety that caters to every region, with the acai bowl station being a personal favorite. Having live cooking stations for fresh meat and fish at dinner added a wonderful touch to the buffet. What made our meals truly special, though, was the warm hospitality. Aruttey was incredible with the kids, constantly bringing smiles and great conversation, while Ayya served fantastic coffee. Warm greetings from Ali, Sippe, Waris, and the rest of the team always brightened our day.
The Stars of the Island: Having Reema and Ash as our Roohu (butlers) made our trip unforgettable. They were remarkably knowledgeable about the resort, proactively recommending the best island activities and shuttling us around to ensure we experienced the highlight of every spot. They went above and beyond, making my sister's birthday extra special, and we miss them already.

We had such a wonderful and memorable stay at Finolhu, and I cannot thank the entire team enough for making our trip so special. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine smiles, warmth, and incredibly kind-hearted people. Every person we interacted with greeted us with a smile and made us feel truly cared for. It was this genuine hospitality that made our stay so special. A special thank you to Ash and Reem, who took such wonderful care of my family throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. Most importantly, our daughter Evlin absolutely loved her time at Finolhu, and seeing her so happy means everything to us as parents. The F&B experience was remarkable as well. The food, service, and attention to detail from the chefs and the entire team were excellent. I would especially like to mention Aruttey, who was incredibly friendly and caring with our kids and always made them feel welcome. And Ali, who somehow knew our names from the very first day and would always greet us warmly whenever we came to the restaurant. These small personal touches made such a big difference. Our room service and housekeeping were also exceptional, and everything was consistently well taken care of throughout our stay. A very special thank you as well for organizing such a beautiful and memorable birthday celebration for my wife, Sudha. The thought, effort, and attention that went into making her birthday special created a wonderful memory for our family that we will cherish.
