A dreamlike place surrounded by the Indian Ocean: Komandoo Island is just 100 m wide and 500 m, with lush tropical flora and surrounded by white sands. Male International Airport is 130 km away, around 40 minutes by seaplane. Please see below for further information on your transfer.
Features of the hotel include concierge service, currency exchange, free WIFI in the lobby, restaurant, bar, spa and wellness, sports facilities, medical assistance and shops.
Beach villas are spacious, cosy wooden retreats discreetly placed along the shore. Each air-conditioned room has a wooden veranda where you can enjoy the sound of the ocean and a wonderful view. The partly open-air bathroom features a garden and walk in shower. Other facilities inlcude tea/coffee, minibar, hairdryer, telephone and cable TV.
Please note - Return transfers from Male Airport to your hotel are included. The Maldives Seaplane transfers operate during daylight hours only between 6:00am to 15:30pm. All international flights that land after 15:00pm will require an overnight stay in Male, Hulhumale or an airport hotel and then take the Seaplane transfer on the next day it is available. Therefore, when booking your holiday, please carefully check the arrival and departure times of your international flights to/from Male Airport.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

A Wonderful Stay at Komandoo Island Resort – A Hidden Gem in the Maldives
Our stay at Komandoo Island Resort was truly fantastic, and the service throughout our visit was excellent. From the moment we arrived, we experienced warm hospitality and genuine care from the entire team.
A special thank you to Maria and the Front Office team for such a wonderful and lovely welcome. Yosuf was extremely professional and helpful, and we truly appreciated all the information and assistance he provided during our stay.
We stayed in a Jacuzzi Beach Villa, and it was absolutely beautiful. The villa was spacious, comfortable, exceptionally clean, and well maintained. The bed was beautifully prepared, and we especially enjoyed the comfortable and clean outdoor bathroom. A big thank you to the entire housekeeping team for keeping everything so spotless. Saeed was such a lovely person and always made us feel welcome with his kindness and friendly service.
For us, Komandoo Island Resort feels like a hidden gem in the Maldives. It has so many treasures — from its beautiful location and stunning natural surroundings to its wonderful people and the unique experience of arriving by seaplane.
Being an adults-only island, Komandoo offers an incredibly peaceful, quiet, and romantic atmosphere. If you love nature, this is definitely a place to experience. The island is surrounded by huge, beautiful trees that provide natural shade and help keep the surroundings cool even on sunny days.
One of our favorite moments was simply lying on the sunbeds and realizing that there were no distractions around us. All we could hear were the gentle waves and the beautiful sounds of birds. For a moment, it felt as though we had stepped into a small, peaceful Maldivian village — completely disconnected from the outside world. The bar and restaurant teams at Komandoo were absolutely lovely and professional throughout our stay.
We both especially loved Kandu Bar. A big thank you to Bishal and his team . The cocktail selection was outstanding, and we truly enjoyed every visit.
Suraj always welcomed us with such a lovely smile, which made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. And Biji, thank you so much for the amazing Bloody Mary — it was fantastic!
All of the bar team were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. We really appreciated their warm hospitality.
The Falhu Restaurant team was also extremely professional. The hostess always welcomed us with a beautiful smile, creating such a warm atmosphere every time we visited.
Yoosuf, such a lovely person. We really appreciated your professionalism and your excellent wine recommendations during our dinners. Your recommendations made our dining experience even more enjoyable.
Vishan was also very professional, attentive, and friendly. I believe he has a very bright future at Komandoo and will be a great asset to the resort.
We also really enjoyed the buffet. The food was absolutely delicious, and we would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Executive Chef and the entire culinary team for their hard work and wonderful food. We also really enjoyed the Maldivian dance performance during our stay. Once again, a very special thank you to Saeed, whom we truly loved meeting. Thank you for reminding us and giving us the opportunity to experience this beautiful part of Maldivian culture.
Saeed, you and your team were absolutely lovely and made the evening even more special. The rhythm and energy of the traditional drums were outstanding, and we truly enjoyed every moment of the performance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at komandoo. The staff were very friendly, food was amazing and we enjoyed being able to relax. I would highly recommend to all.
Not long returned from our second stay at this beautiful island. There’s absolutely nothing that we would change, it’s just right as it is. If you’re looking for wild partying, loud entertainment and high adrenaline activity, this is not the place for you. If you want a beautiful island, with amazing staff, excellent food and drink and the opportunity to relax and recharge your batteries, this is the right place. Hari looked after our room beautifully for us, and added some lovely towel art, as well as being a genuinely nice person. Moosa ensured we were fed and watered in the restaurant and had our drinks ready almost as we arrived. And also presented me with a lovely handbag that he had made with fronds. Aqua, the overwater restaurant is definitely worth a visit, with a beautiful setting and some exceptional food. If you fancy something a bit different a visit to 5.8, the undersea restaurant on a nearby island, is well worth it, and can be arranged via the app or on the island. We have found somewhere we feel is special and have already booked for next year!
Absolutely amazing island. Quiet, peaceful, amazing reef, amazing food, amazing staff. If I could go back today, I would!
