Situated in the North Ari Atoll of the Maldives, Nika Island Resort offers lush white sandy beaches, comfortable accommodations and great hospitality. The ideal location makes it the perfect choice for those looking at some incredible diving experiences amidst some of the world's most impressive coral reefs! It is known to be one of the best diving spots in the Maldives, renowned for its encounters with magnificent whale sharks, particularly during the northeast monsoon season.
Nika Island caters to divers of all levels, including beginners and those with limited experience. However, the true gem lies in the extraordinary house reef surrounding island itself. The house reef not only offers sightings of manta rays, eagle rays, Napoleon fish, and reef sharks but also surprises divers with the presence of guitar sharks and leopard sharks!
There are many other exciting recreational activities for guests to enjoy, such as windsurfing, volleyball, canoeing, or sunset fishing. In addition to this, is the amazing care of the coral garden, located on the island's reef. The restoration project of the coral garden has been in progress for many years and has led to the repopulation of house reef which has become home to a large amount of marine life.
The resort offers a range of bungalow accommodations, each with its own special features. Most of these bungalows are designed in the shape of a nautilus shell, which not only adds to their uniqueness but also provides more room space due to the circular structure of the rooms. Options include the Beach Villa with a beachfront hot tub and swing, the Deluxe Beach Villa, like the Beach Villa but offers more room and a traditional outdoor Maldivian shower, the Family Beach Villa with two bedrooms and bathrooms for families, and the Deluxe Family Beach Villa, offering the same family-friendly amenities for ultimate enjoyment.
All these beachfront accommodations offer easy access to the resort's stunning house reef, which is less than 50 meters away. This makes it a paradise for snorkelling enthusiasts who can explore the vibrant marine life.
For a unique experience, the resort also offers Water Villas and Family Water Villas. Water Villas provide a unique perspective with direct ocean access via an exterior step ladder, offering a bird's eye view of the house reef. The main floor provides comfortable accommodation. Family Water Villas, akin to Water Villas, offer ocean access and comfort but come with an upper floor Solarium that all guests can relish.

My name is Ivan Abramov. A few days ago sadly left this wonderful hotel, where I, my wife and three children spent a magical 10 days (Villa 20).
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again. I would like to express special gratitude to our guest relations manager Zhanna. Absolutely all our requests were resolved instantly, and my children simply fell in love with her. My middle daughter even drew pictures and gave it to ZhannaZhanna demonstrated high professional qualities and also proved herself to be a kind, attentive and very caring person.
We travel a lot and I know exactly how important it is when a hotel has such an employee. Thank all team of Nika again for a wonderful vacation and hope to see you soon!
We went to Nika Island in Feb. 2022 for 2 weeks, stayed in one of the family beach villas. The house was very spacious, we loved the huge bathroom and the outdoor showers. And the access to our private beach ... The house was very clean and in good condition. House and beach were cleaned twice a day. The island is small enough to walk from one end to the other in about 15 minutes. All houses are embedded in beautiful environment with flowers and plants. There are several options for beaches, all slightly different
I spent two weeks on Nika Island with my wife in Beach villa that is very large, nice and comfortable. We enjoyed private beach. The food in the main restaurant was very tasty and in a great choice. I have read some reviews saying that only Italian and Russian guests are treated well by the staff, but it was not the case - all staff members took care of us wonderfully (despite we are Czechs). Some of minor cons: - meals were sometimes not warm enough - villas (or at least the bedrooms) are not sealed against gekos: there are gaps in all windows and doors and along the edge of the roof, and gekos are quite noisy especially at night - guests have no information about acces to the house reef: there are only one channel through the corals on both sides of the island (north and south) or from one public beach. So we asked two our neighbours to be allowed to pass their beach to get to the channel. Lack of information contribute to coral damage.
All in all we were very satisfied with our holiday and would be back any time.
Couldn't wait to return and was not disappointed ... was like coming home. Love the laid back and relaxed pace here. Enjoy the fact beach villas have private beach areas, allowing for complete relaxation and there is no noise from on island activities. There is no pressure to take part in any activities, although info about trips and activities are communicated daily. That said during this visit, we did a tour of a local inhabited island and a litter pick on an uninhabited local island.
We celebrate our 25th anniversary whilst on Nika this time and had a vow renewal by way of celebration. The team really put huge effort into making the event special and memorable. Our beach area was set up with a gazebo and the entrance to the villa was decorated with a hand woven palm arch, flowers etc; the bed was also decorated. They also made us rings and a ring box frommalm leaved. The ceremony was presided over by the general manager, who did a sterling job and the words of the renewal were beautiful. We have a beautiful framed certificate, as well as many photos to remember the day.
During this visit, I needed some Antihistamine and discovered there is a resident doctor and a small clinic on the island. There was a charge for accessing this service, but surprisingly small.
The on site shop is disappoitingly biased to tailoring and clothing now, with very little in the way of souvenir items.
Can't praise the waiting staff, bar staff and maintenance team enough, everyone was friendly, helpful and conscientious. The path ways and gardens are always tidy and well cared for; the restaurant and bar service efficient.
Loved bring here and already planning a return.
A return trip to Nika and yet again it doesn't fail to deliver. A beautiful, relaxed island - truly very little to do but watch nature and enjoy the down time. Adnan and Sashi - stellar work on the bars guys!
