Whether an overwater villa floating in the lagoon or settled on a pristine sandy beach front, each of the 115 villas feature their own plunge pool. Rooms are equipped with a king-sized bed (plus one separate daybed) with luxurious linens, nightly turndown service and fluffy pillows. Planning our return trip already!
We had a lovely 5 days at the Standard in an ocean facing water villa. This was our first trip to the maldives but have stayed at many seaside resorts over the years.
The resort was amazing but what really stood out was the amazing service and attentiveness from the staff.
Paula was our concerige who looked after our every need, Sai in the restaurants who shared his recommendations and actually put together special tasting options for us. Billal at Joost Cafe who kept on getting us drinks, even when we had checked out and was waiting to board the sea plane. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff.
Our trip was a luxury escapes special and we were lucky enough to have early check and late check outs. We also had the all inclusive package which was amazing value. Negronis every night at dinner. Gudaguda was also a hghlight with the maldivian food.
The weather was rainy for a couple of days but we could still snorkle the house reef and read books. The gym had good modern equipment (although bring your own water as there was none there).
An amazing stay and I hope we can go back soon!

Great resort for families
Family trip for 6 days (kids ages 17, 15, 11). Overall, we really enjoyed the trip. The overwater bungalow was exactly as advertised and being able to walk down stairs into the water was amazing. It was easy to book the tennis courts daily. Buffet is expensive ($50 for breakfast, $60 for lunch, and $80 for dinner) but the food choices are extensive and kids 11 and under are half-priced.

Our stay at The Standard, Maldives was nothing short of incredible, but what truly set it apart was the world-class service from our island host, Shamauu. From the moment we arrived, Shamauu pampered my kids and made sure our entire family felt completely taken care of. A special shout-out to Bilal, who made our son feel like an absolute star with his exquisite smoothies and milkshakes—his warm, fun conversations made our stay feel so personal! However, true, exceptional customer service shows up when things don't go as planned. After checking out, we realized we had accidentally left some items with emotional value behind in our room. Shamauu went far above and beyond his standard duties to help resolve the situation. His dedication, constant communication, and proactive efforts ensured our belongings made it safely back to us. Because of his care and genuine commitment to his guests, we are left with nothing but incredible, cherished core memories of our trip. Thank you, Shamauu, for making our family vacation unforgettable!

THE BEST STAY EVER!!! From the arrival to the end, everything went really smooth and we were welcomed by all the staffs with a geniuine and warm smile where ever we went. From the beautiful and alive house reef to the multiple-variety delicious buffet, this was truly a 5-star experience. Special thanks to Eva, Abaante, Anas, Ando, Charlie, Shingie, 2 Shaans, 1 from Onda, 1 from FO and Isse & Haanim at the watersports! You all were lovely, will come back again for sure!

Best honeymoon stay ever, it was beyond expectations! The whole process went on smoothly, from arrival to departure, all the staffs are extremely attentive and helpful. We loved our overwater villa, we had amazing privacy. Cleanliness was maintained in all areas. Food taste was the one thing that stood out to us most, we’re gonna miss having all the amazing meals here! Shoutout to Eva, our amazing host☺️ to spa team for the amazing massage that put us both to a deep slumber😂 Abaan, Charlie, Shaan from FO and Shaan from Onda, Anas, Shingie, and Dulal. We shall be back again for sure, thank you everyone! 🥰🫶
